Chapter 32: Chapter 32
Cassandra traced Sebastian's face with her finger. He really looks handsome, even when sleeping. Sebastian begged Cassandra if they could sleep first because he was tired, and now, he's peacefully napping. Cassandra could still vividly remember the plan that Sebastian devised. It was after Joana's announcement when he followed her back to the dorm.

"Please leave me alone," Cassandra pleaded to her friends. Abegail and Lisanna looked into each other's eyes and left her in the room. She lay down on the bed and stared at the ceiling.
Cassandra closed her eyes, but all she could see was Sebastian. His laugh, his smile, his handsome face, and everything about him. She let her tears poured down from her eyes and hugged the pillow tightly beside her.
Cassandra was busy crying her heart out when she heard something coming from the window. With her swollen eyes, she got up and turned the lampshade on. Then Cassandra saw it, a tiny stone being thrown on her window. She peeked outside and cried when Sebastian's figured appeared.
"Please open the window, love. I want to explain what happened earlier," Sebastian begged. She did not hesitate for a second and opened the window. Cassandra wanted to scold herself because she clearly heard Joana's announcement loud and clear. The two were engaged, but she was letting Sebastian inside of her room. Cassandra took a step back, and Sebastian climbed. She saw him looked at her with a pained expression in his eyes. Sebastian was about to walk to her, but she stopped him.
"Don't," Cassandra said with authority. Sebastian halted and saw her wiped her tears.
"You have five minutes to explain yourself, Blood," Cassandra said and crossed her arms. Sebastian let out a long sigh and sat on the chair while she sat on the edge of her bed. He intently stared at her; that's why she quickly avoided his gaze.
"Your time is running out, Blood," Cassandra muttered.
"Please don't cry; it hurts me every time I see you cry," Sebastian said while his hands were clenched into a fist. "I don't know what's got in her head, but I didn't accept the marriage proposal. Elijah keeps pushing us together, but I don't want her. Damn, I only want you, love. Please believe me," he added and kneeled in front of her while holding her hands. Cassandra touched his face.
"I believe in you," Cassandra said. As dumb as it sounds, she believes everything he has said because she loves and trusts him very much. Cassandra could sense that he's not lying.
Thanks to the mate bond they had. Joanna is really a bitch and is obsessed with Sebastian. Cassandra could feel in her gut that it was just one of Joana's schemes to ruin their relationship, but she won't let it happen.
Sebastian sat on the bed with her and held her hand, "I really think there's a traitor in the council that knows where Ikrur is," he said. Cassandra glanced at him.
"So, what's your plan?" Cassandra asked. She knew how bent Sebastian was on discovering the truth.
"I will find out who's the traitor," Sebastian said.
"That's dangerous! You could compromise your safety!" Casandra angrily said. "Besides, you have limited access! Even if your half-brother's there, he won't allow you to roam around freely," she added.
"I have a plan," Sebastian seriously said. "And I need you to play a big part in this, love," he added. Cassandra pinched the bridge of her nose and stared at him.
"What is it?" Cassandra asked.
"Simple. We act," Sebastian said. "We act to what Joana wanted to see. Let's make them believe that there's no 'us' and that I will agree to the marriage proposal," he added.
"If we could pull this thing off, I can freely roam around the Council because Joana's father is one of the members of the Council," Sebastian said. Cassandra felt her jaw hanged open.
"That's ridiculous!" Cassandra said.
"I know, love, but it's the only way. I need to find this traitor," Sebastian said. "I need to warn them if anything bad happens. I know I'm asking a big favor from you, love because I know this will be not an easy task, and you will get hurt by what you will see," he added. Cassandra remained silent.
"Love?" Sebastian called her.
"What if we let the Council handle everything? If I know, some of them are planning now," Casandra said.
"And what, love? Wait for our destruction?" Sebastian asked. "See those missing posters? Those ghouls and vampires who attacked us? I can't let that happen again," he added.
"We must stop this madness. If there's something we can do, then I will use my power to stop them," Sebastian said. Cassandra heaved a sigh. She couldn't say no to him, seeing him so determined.
"Okay, I get it. I will do it, but there is one condition, Blood," Cassandra said and stared at him. "Say it,"
"Don't get too comfortable with that bitch. You are mine, got that?" Cassandra said and pulled him to her, kissing him thoroughly on the lips.
"Damn, that was hot," Sebastian said and smiled, showing his pearly white teeth, but Cassandra suddenly slapped him on the face.
"What the fuck? What was that for?" Sebastian said, surprised.
"That? That is for making me cry, jerk," Cassandra said and rolled her eyes.
"Feisty. I like it," Sebastian said and kissed her forehead. "I'm lucky to have you, love. Damn luck," he added while staring straight into her eyes.
"So am I, Blood. So am I."
Sebastian stirred in her bed and opened his eyes. When he saw her, he immediately smiled.
"Hey, beautiful," Sebastian said and winked. Cassandra chuckled and hit him with a pillow. She leaned on his chest while he kissed the top of her head.
"Can you tell everything now?" Cassandra asked; then she felt Sebastian stiffened.
"I heard them, love. I heard them talking about a certain 'Lord,' and I'm sure that's Ikrur," Sebastian said. "And they were celebrating something. I talked to Keith; he's my childhood friend and a member of the Council. I told him everything, and he helped me," he added and looked at her. Cassandra could see that he's hurting.
"What's wrong?" Cassandra worriedly asked.
"He's involved, love," Sebastian said; the pain was visible in his deep blue eyes. "My brother is involved," he added that shocked Cassandra. She covered her mouth and couldn't utter a word. She doesn't really know Sebastian's half-brother, but she knew her mate wished that they'd be able to reconcile in the future.
"And that's not all of it. I also heard them that they would launch an attack on Academia," Sebastian seriously said. "According to Keith's informant, rogue werewolves and vampires were gathering in a place. It's like he's preparing his armies," he added. Cassandra began to tremble in fear. If they attack Academia, she didn't know if they'd be able to fend them off. If Sebastian hadn't discovered this, they would die in vain.
"Oh, gods!" Cassandra mumbled.
"We will fight them, love. We won't let them win. We are the ones who will surprise them," Sebastian said with a reassuring smile. "I contacted Keith, and he's going to join us. He will bring the vampires that are loyal to his family. The Montabard, Falcon, and the Creighton's will also help us," he added. Cassandra stared at him. She couldn't help but be proud of her mate for planning ahead of everything.
"Love?" Sebastian asked.
"Wow. You are amazing," Cassandra said. Sebastian chuckled.
"I told the guys too. Liam, Oliver, and Jet will help," Sebastian said. "I need you to talk to Abegail and Lisanna. With them joining our group, we will become stronger," he added. Cassandra nodded.
"I will talk to Storm, too," Cassandra said. Sebastian immediately frowned hearing Storm's name.
"I don't want him in our group," he spat.
"Blood, Storm is strong, and he had friends that could join us. We have to gather allies' right? Don't whine!" Cassandra said. Sebastian stood up and turned his back against her.
"Are you sulking?" Cassandra asked while laughing. "No, I'm not," Sebastian replied.
"Yes, you are," Cassandra said while shaking her head. She hugged Sebastian from behind and grinned.
"I love you, Blood," Cassandra sweetly said. Sebastian faced her and planted a soft kiss on her lips.
"I love you more, love. We will resume planning tomorrow, but in the meantime, you should talk to your friends, and I will go back to my dorm," Sebastian said. Cassandra asked and watched him climbed the window of her room. He opened it and glanced at her before jumping down.
When Cassandra saw him safely landed, she waved her hand and closed the window. It's time for her to talk to her friends.
