Chapter 33: Chapter 33

Cassandra took the glass on the table in front of her and drank it with her hands sweating. She examined the surrounding around her. No one wants to talk, and she felt awkward.

"Where are you, Blood?" Cassandra said and played with her fingers. Suddenly, Sebastian went inside the meeting room and walked towards her, kissing her on the forehead. He grabbed the nearest chair and sat beside Cassandra.

"Thank you for coming here. We are about to begin the preparations and if you're still undecided, it's your chance to back out," Sebastian said. "We're facing a very dangerous enemy and I will understand if you back out," he added. Cassandra looked at them once again. No one talk nor went of the room. It all means one thing; they're decided to fight on Sebastian's side.

"Very well. Let's proceed," Sebastian said.

"Alekxia Montabard," Sebastian called. A woman stood up and went to him. "The Montabard Clan will provide us the battle gears we need and they are the ones that will guard Academia if any of the enemies will try to show up," he explained.

"Dust and Dreige Falcon," Sebastian called. Like Alekxia, two men stood up and went in the front. "The Falcon Clan is known for their intelligent battle strategies and power. They'll be joining us in the frontline to face Ikrur and his armies," he announced.

"Timothy Creighton," Sebastian called a name once again. Timothy walked in front. "The Creighton Clan is known for their healing abilities. They are also good in fighting and they'll join us in the frontlines as our support," he added. Cassandra couldn't help but be amazed at her mate. She couldn't deny that it's in Sebastian's blood. Blood of a ruler, and a blood of a King.

Even if she doesn't speak of it, she knows Sebastian fits on the throne. His father also knew his capabilities. That's why he bestowed him the crown prince's title, the one that will inherit his seat without hesitation.

"Storm and his group are also good in fighting so I'm bringing them in the frontline," Cassandra said. They all agreed, and she spoke again. "Blood's friends; Liam, Jet, and Oliver, and my friends; Lisanna and Abby are good too. We have a great fighter and healer added to our group. I believe they're all capable of everything."

Sebastian patted her hair and smiled. He leaned and whispered in her ear, "Good job, love. You'll make a fine Queen someday," he said. Cassandra's cheeks reddened. Sebastian really knows how to compliment his girl. The people in the meeting room started murmuring and have their own discussions. Cassandra excused herself and went to the kitchen to get food. She saw Alekxia sitting on a chair, having deep thoughts.

"Can I sit here?" Cassandra asked and pointed to the chair next to her. Alekxia nodded her head as a response. There was a silence between them when Cassandra glanced at her again; she saw her sipping her tea. She was the first one to speak.

"Why did you decided to join this battle?" Cassandra asked. Alekxia smiled at her.

"We swore our loyalty to Sebastian's Clan, the Blood Clan," Alekxia began her story. "The Montabard, Falcon, and Creighton's were once enemies. Our families had been fighting for decades. Killing each other's kin. We were fighting intensely, no one wants to back down and no one wants to lose. It was a hopeless and never-ending fight."

"Then they came, the Bloods. They risked their lives to stop a fight between our families. And that day, our family heads decided to follow the Blood's for the rest of our lives," Alekxia said.

"We owed Sebastian's family that much. That's why I'm going to do everything in this war," Alekxia said. Cassandra remained silent. She doesn't know Alekxia's family, and the others had a long history with Blood's.

"Alekxia, Sebastian needs you in the meeting room," Dreige Falcon said. Alekxia stood up and bowed her head, then left to meet Sebastian. Dreige looked at Cassandra and timidly smiled. She smiled back and started preparing her food.

Cassandra was searching for a container for her food when someone sat beside her. It was Jessa Silvernia.

"Do you need anything?" Cassandra politely asked.

"Nothing. I already got it," Jessa said and raised her glass. She smiled at Cassandra. Jessa was about to go out, but Cassandra held her arm. There's a question bugging her mind that needed an answer, and she believes Jessa could give her one.

"There is something I've been meaning to ask you," Cassandra said. "Ask away," Jessa said coolly.

"Why did you call me Queen in our last fight?" Cassandra asked. She knows it's kind of nonsense, but she wants to know why. She also remembered the wolf with her in the arena said the same thing.

"Because you are a Queen," Jessa said with emphasis. Cassandra felt more confused. She muttered incoherent words that Cassandra couldn't herd and then sighed. "Don't ask questions Cassandra, you'll know when the right time comes," she added.

"When is the right time, Jessa?" Cassandra asked. Jessa was about to answer her question, but Sebastian entered the kitchen. Jessa excused herself and smiled knowingly. Casandra hates it. She hates being kept in the dark; she has so many unanswered questions.

"Are you okay?" Sebastian asked and put his hand on her waist. Casandra nodded and hugged him.

"How's the preparation going?" Cassandra asked.

"Everything is good. We are all set. We decided to attack in the next two days," Sebastian said. Cassandra's eyes widened.

"Eclipse," Cassandra quietly said while Sebastian stared at her. "There's a lunar eclipse in that day," she added.

"Yes, I know. Liam suggested this, it will benefit us because the eclipse will help in increasing our powers and I agreed," Sebastian said. Cassandra forced a smile. She doesn't know, but she felt something's wrong.

"Are you really okay, love?" Sebastian asked worriedly. Cassandra shakes her frightening thought and smiled, pinching Sebastian in the cheeks.

"Yes, I really am fine. I will go to Abegail and Storm first," Cassandra said. Sebastian's face turned sour when she mentioned Storm's name. He still couldn't help but be jealous of the boy.

"Are you jealous again?" Cassandra said while laughing. Sebastian glared at her. She chuckled and stole a peck on his lips.

"I love you, my vampire," Cassandra said. "And I love you more, my stubborn wolf."
