Chapter 25: Chapter 25

Sebastian clenched his teeth and balled his hand into a fist. He's mad with Storm for flirting with what's his, but he's madder with himself for hurting the only girl he loves. Sebastian grabbed the vase in the hallway and threw it to the wall, where it created a loud crashing sound. Joana screamed behind him.

"What the hell, babe?! Why did you do that?!" Joana asked, confused.

"Shut up!" Sebastian shouted and glared at her, in which Joana cowered in fear. A man went out and bowed his head to Sebastian.

"Prince Sebastian Alistair Blood, Council Elijah is looking for you. You may proceed into his office," the man said. Sebastian was about to enter Elijah's office, but he was stopped by Joana.

"Babe what about me?" Joana said and pouted her lips. She wasn't trembling anymore. Sebastian removed her hand from his arm.

"You stay here," Sebastian answered, emphasizing every word. "But, I want to come with you," Joana said.

"I said, stay right here!" Sebastian said. He doesn't want to see her. Joana flinched, but she nodded her head in agreement. Sebastian went inside Elijah's office and locked the door behind him.

"Well, well, well. It's nice to see you again, Sebastian," Elijah said and smiled. Sebastian remained silent, standing and waiting for him. Elijah motioned him to sit in the chair in front of him.

"You need to treat Joanna right Sebastian. She's going to be your wife soon," Elijah said with a grin. Sebastian clenched his hand. It will never happen. The only woman that will become his wife is only Casandra, nothing else.

"What the fuck do you want, Elijah?" Sebastian said, and sneered.

"Show some respect, Sebastian," Elijah calmly said. Sebastian bowed his head; he could feel his body burning up. He touched his chest because he couldn't breathe. Sebastian was also sweating so hard. He knew Elijah did something to him.

"Now, will you talk calmly and with respect, Sebastian?" Elijah asked. I glared at him. Sebastian nodded his head, even it was against his will.

"Good," Elijah said with a smile. Suddenly, Sebastian could properly breathe again, and his body wasn't burning up. He wanted to curse Elijah and his powers.

"I will get straight to the point, Sebastian. Stop your investigation about Ikrur or about the dark creatures appearing in every part of the island," Elijah sharply said.

"Why do you want me to stop Elijah?" Sebastian asked. "Do you know something about Ikrur's missing body in his chamber?" he added seriously.

"That's none of your business, Sebastian," Elijah sternly said.

After King Quillard killed Ikrur, his dead body was found in the castle. The Council took it and put it in the chamber. Witches and wizards put a potent spell on the whole place to prevent other creatures from entering the enclosure. Now, the body was gone, and the dark creatures roamed in the islands once again.

"Let's stop talking about this Sebastian. Leave this matters to the Council," Elijah said with finality in his voice. "Why don't we talk about your upcoming wedding? I'm sure you're excited to marry, Joanna," he added. Sebastian couldn't help but frown.

"There's no wedding, Elijah. Suck it up. I won't marry her," Sebastian said. He was determined to cancel the wedding with Joana. He just smiled at him.

"Why Sebastian? You don't love Joanna? Joanna is fit to be your Queen. She came from a rich and influential family," Elijah muttered and took the glass on his table. "She can help you when you sit on the throne," he added. Sebastian doesn't care about Joana or her family. He doesn't love her ad will never be. He chose not to answer Elijah's question.

"Perhaps, you already found your mate? That's why you don't want to get marry?" Elijah asked knowingly. This time, Sebastian's jaw clenched. He wouldn't risk Cassandra's safety; he needs to protect her. Sebastian breathed deeply and sharply looked into Elijah's eyes.

"No..."

Joana smiled outside and stepped away from the door; she hid her phone back in her pocket. Her little scheme was successful. Joana recorded Sebastian and Elijah's talked and edited it. She couldn't wait and see Cassandra's reaction once she gives the recorder to her.

Joana pretended to fix her dress when Sebastian got out of Elijah's office. She welcomed him with a smile and put her hand on his shoulder. She tried to kiss his cheek, but Sebastian was quick to dodge her.

"Let's go," Sebastian said and once again removed her hand from him. Joana frowned when Sebastian acts coldly to her, but she couldn't help but fell in love with him more. She bowed when Elijah went out of the room.

"Nice to see you, Joanna," Elijah greeted. Joana shyly smiled and tucked her hair behind her ear.

"Same here, Council Elijah. It's nice to see you!" Joana happily replied. She liked Elijah because if it isn't for his help, Sebastian won't become hers.

"Do you want a tea?" Elijah offered. Joana was about to answer, but Sebastian called her name.

"Maybe next time Council Elijah, my husband is waiting for me. I don't want him to be mad at me," Joana said. She really likes calling Sebastian her husband. It feels like they were already

married. She couldn't wait for the day Sebastian will be hers. Elijah smiled and went back inside his office while Joana hurriedly walked away, following Sebastian.

"Let's get out of here," Sebastian said to the driver. The driver followed him and drove the car away. Joana smiled, the anticipation is killing her, but she can wait. This is for all the pain Cassandra had caused her. It's for taking away her Sebastian and Storm. She will return the pain to Cassandra tenfold. Joana promised that.
