Chapter 24: Chapter 24

Cassandra woke up early and prepared her breakfast. She also cooked for Abegail and Lisanna before heading straight to her school. No one was around when she arrived in the classroom.

She rested her head on the armchair and closed her eyes.

When she opened her eyes, she was already in a garden filled with beautiful flowers and red roses. She started walking around the garden, but then she stopped when she heard something moving.

"Who's that?" Cassandra asked and looked around. The sound of someone moving started again, she decides to pick a stone. "Show yourself, whoever you are!" Cassandra shouted. Then a white wolf appeared. Its fur was so white, and it looks so gorgeous.

"Who are you?" Cassandra asked the werewolf. The werewolf sat down and looked above the sky.

"My child, it's me," the white werewolf softly said. Cassandra gasped in surprise. She immediately dropped to her knees and bowed down.

"Moon Goddess," Cassandra softly said. The white werewolf moved closer to her and transformed into a human being. She gently touched Cassandra's hair and stroked it.

"Stand up, my child," Moon Goddess said. Cassandra stood up and look at her.

"Beware of the people you trust, my child. The enemies are lurking around. Be careful, if anything bad happens always remember, my child. Trust your one true love," the Moon Goddess said, then touched Cassandra's face.

Cassandra felt a strong force pulling her away from Moon Goddess, her body flew, and she hit a tree. She grunted and looked at where Moon Goddess was and saw her fighting a cloaked man. The man evilly smiled at Cassandra and blew a black smoke. She saw images. The images portrayed a war that broke out where she saw her friends, schoolmates, dead, and Sebastian lying and not breathing. There's a sword stabbed in his chest, and blood was all over his body. Cassandra covered her mouth as tears started streaming down her eyes.

"No! No! Please, this can't be true!" Cassandra shouted. She tried to reach for Sebastian but she couldn't. Cassandra felt so helpless. She saw herself sitting beside Sebastian, crying; she watched Sebastian's body slowly turning into ashes. The Moon Goddess said something then the cloaked man disappeared.

"Go, my child! Be strong!" the Goddess said.

"Cassy! Wake up!" Cassandra heard Storm shouting. Cassandra opened her eyes, and she began crying. "Don't cry, Cassy," Storm hugged and comforted her.

"It's gonna be okay, Cassy. I'm here. Nobody will hurt you," Storm said. She hugged Storm tightly when she remembered her dream. Storm patted her back, then she realized that everyone in the room was looking at them. Cassandra's face went pale then she immediately pulled away from Storm.

Cassandra saw Sebastian darkened expression while looking at them. Joana attempted to kiss him, but he moves his face away from her. Sebastian stood up and left the room; he even slammed the door hard. Cassandra felt sad.

"Don't mind him," Storm sternly said. Cassandra saw Joanna glared at her then left, following Sebastian. Storm sat beside Cassandra then held her hand.

"What happened?" Sebastian asked. She just shakes her head. Cassandra doesn't want to let anyone know what she saw in her dreams. "Do you want to talk about it?" he added, but she declined. Storm sighed and just smiled at her.

"You want to eat something?" Storm asked. Cassandra nodded her head, and they both got their bags and went to the cafeteria. When they entered, they saw Lisanna and Abegail's worried faces looking at them. Cassandra meaningfully looked at Storm, but he just smiled sheepishly.

"Cassy! We were so worried about you! Are you fine?" Lisanna asked as she held her hand. Cassandra just smiled at her and gave her a thumbs up. Abegail was looking at her, unconvinced of what she has said. Storm insisted on buying her food along with Abegail while Lisanna left and went to the washroom.

Cassandra was left alone. She tried to look around, hoping to see Sebastian, but he was nowhere to be found. She realized how hopeless she was when she thought that maybe Sebastian and Joanna were together.

"Are you looking for Master?" Jet asked who's already in front of her. Cassandra didn't even notice him. She did not answer Jet.

"He left and went to the council with Joanna," Jet continued. She just looked away.

"Maybe they're planning for their wedding," she bitterly thought.

"I hope you and Master will get back together. I like you better than Joanna," Jet added before he left. Cassandra secretly smiled. Storm and Abegail arrived with her food. They all enjoyed their meal and went to their different classes. Hours had passed, and all her classes ended, but she never saw Sebastian nor Joanna around. She heaved sighed.

"That was deep," Storm said while smiling. Cassandra just laughed. "You're crazy," she replied, shaking her head.

"Do you want to go somewhere?" Storm asked. Cassandra stopped walking and turned her head at him.

"I'm sorry, Storm, I have to refuse. It's just that I'm so tired of everything that happened. I just want to rest right now, maybe we can go next time?" Cassandra said and apologized. He just smiled at her and patted her head.

"It's fine. I'll just escort you to your dorm then?" Storm said. He did escort her back to her dorm then waved his hand. Cassandra went inside and started cleaning the room. After she cleaned, she decided to rest on her bed. She remembered what Moon Goddess said to her in her dreams.

"Beware of the people you trust my child."

Cassandra wondered; she was so confused about what Moon Goddess has said. She couldn't understand who Moon Goddess was referring to. Cassandra irritatedly grabbed her hair. She's beginning to have a headache thinking about it. Cassandra closed her eyes and let the dark take over.
