Chapter 19: Chapter 19

Cassandra woke up in her bed. She glanced around and saw Sebastian is sitting on the chair beside her while holding her hand, fast asleep. She smiled and touched his face. He stirred and slowly opened his eyes.

"I'm glad you woke up. How are you feeling, love?" Sebastian asked while playing with her fingers.

"I'm fine now. What happened?" Cassandra asked. Sebastian pulled her hand and kissed the back of her palm.

"You lost consciousness when you stared at the picture of the girl who died," Sebastian said. Cassandra's smile vanished, and she looked away. She could remember how the girl trembled inside the ring of the arena. "Do you know her?" he added.

"She was one of the contestants I faced in the Battle of the Strongest," Cassandra said. "I actually planned on visiting her after the event, but now she's dead," she added and sniffled a sobbed.

"She was bullied in this school, Blood. Maybe it's connected to her death," Cassandra said, thinking of the possibility that the girl's murderer was near her. Sebastian hugged her and rubbed her back soothingly.

"Leave it to me and focus on the Battle of the Strongest, love," Sebastian muttered. "You only have three days left to train. Will you be able to do it?" he added. Cassandra nodded absentmindedly.

"Don't worry anymore, love," Sebastian said. Cassandra nodded her head as a response. She could do it because she has Sebastian by her side.

In the afternoon, Cassandra decided to dropped by the training ground and saw the gangs waiting for her. She put her gym bag down, and Oliver handed her a pair of boxing gloves.

Today, Cassandra will spar with Jet. She quickly wore it and went inside the ring for the match. Oliver will stand as a referee. Cassandra didn't know, but suddenly Jet's fist was slamming into her face. Blood pooled in her mouth.

"Cass, focus!" Oliver shouted. Cassandra looked at her and smiled; she really seemed out of it. There's a lot of things bugging her mind.

"I think you should rest first, Cass," Jet said. Cassandra apologized to him and wiped the blood on her mouth. She went out of the ring, sat on the chair, and grabbed a bottled water.

"Swap with me, Jet. I'll train her." Cassandra froze when she saw Sebastian standing at the entrance while crossing his arms. Sebastian looked at her, and she felt weak. Jet glanced at Sebastian back to Cassandra and nodded.

"Okay, call me when you're done," Oliver said, and Sebastian nodded. They went out, and all that's left inside the training ground were Sebastian and Cassandra. He slowly walked towards her while staring straight into her eyes. Cassandra couldn't help but gulp.

"I said to focus, right?" Sebastian asked. Cassandra bowed her head; she was ashamed. She heard him sighed and kneeled in front of her. Cassandra's heart started beating faster.

Sebastian lifted her face and kissed her on the forehead.

"I told you I would handle it, right? Just trust me and focus. Can you do that?" Sebastian asked and rested his forehead in hers. Cassandra closed her eyes and nodded. She felt him kissed her nose. When she opened her eyes, Sebastian was staring at her.

"Shall we start again?" Sebastian asked.

"Yes," Cassandra replied. He extended his hand to her, and she gladly took it and stood up. Sebastian grabbed her gloves and gave them to her in which she accepted.

"Spar with me, your highness," Sebastian said and winked. Cassandra laughed and smacked him on the shoulder.

"Beautiful," Sebastian said out of nowhere and pulled her to the waist. "...and the only mine," he added. Her heart melted.

And you're also mine, mine alone.

Cassandra wanted to say this, but she chose to smile and hit Sebastian with her gloves. "Let's get serious," she said.

She went back inside the ring, and Sebastian followed her. Cassandra breathed deeply and focused on herself. Sebastian rushed to her and threw a punch straight to her face, but she was able to dodge it with her reflexes. She tried to punch his sides, but Sebastian moved his body, totally avoiding it. Cassandra took a step backward and saw him smirking. Annoyed, she ran to him and threw repeated punches. Cassandra hit him in the face, but he recovered and hit her in the stomach. She almost gagged while clutching her stomach.

"Fuck! I'm sorry, love!" Sebastian said and quickly rushed to her side. It was a one-time chance for Cassandra. With all her strength, she punched Sebastian right through the stomach.

"Shit, you fooled me!" Sebastian said while coughing. She stuck her tongue out, which made him laughed. They resumed sparring but stopped when Lisanna and the others went inside bringing food.

Cassandra felt hungry because of the smell coming from the food. She hurriedly went out of the ring, leaving Sebastian, and walked towards Lisanna.

"This tastes good," Cassandra said after taking a bite. "Thanks, Lis!" she added. She ate two sandwiches and drank juice.

"Did I tell you to have a break?" Sebastian asked. Cassandra shook her head and handed her lover a sandwich. She knew he wouldn't complain about her eating. He sighed and took it from her hands.

"The Battle of the Strongest will resume in three days," Abegail said, to which Cassandra nodded her head.

"Good luck, Cassy!" Lisanna said with a smile. "Jessa Silvernia is a tough enemy," she added. Cassandra glanced at her waiting for her to speak further.

"Jessa is a witch. She is mainly good with cloning. You also have to be careful because she can create fire with a spell," Lisanna said. "But don't worry. We know you can beat her," she added while grinning widely. They are confident that Cassandra could do it. They had two rounds of

sparring, and then Sebastian ended her training because she needed rest after all of what happened around her.

It's already night when they arrived at the dorm because Jet invited them to roam around Academia. Cassandra went inside her room and washed. She lay down on the bed, but before that, she opened her window first. A noise snapped her out of her thoughts. Cassandra immediately saw Sebastian walking to her bed.

"You smell so fucking good, love," Sebastian huskily said. Cassandra gasped when he started kissing her neck. She felt him licked her neck and sank his fangs in, slowly drinking her blood. Cassandra moaned and tugged his soft hair. She couldn't do more than a whimper and grind her hips against him. She wants more of him than she thinks she's going crazy. Sebastian looked at her intensely. Cassandra pulled him and hurriedly kissed his bloodied mouth.

Panting heavily, Sebastian lifted her and transferred her to his lap, "I'm sorry. Did it hurt?" he asked. Cassandra shook her head and smiled at him. She didn't felt the pain; instead, it was the opposite; she liked it very much.

"Let's sleep?" Sebastian asked. Cassandra yawned, too tired to give him the answer. Sebastian put her down on the bed and hugged her body. She inhaled his sweet manly scent before closing her eyes.

"Thank you. Sleep dreams, my Queen."
