Chapter 20: Chapter 20
Cassandra's eyes snapped open when she heard a knock on the door. She looked around to see if Sebastian was still beside her, but he's already gone. She stood up and opened the door. She saw Lisanna smiling widely.
"What?" She asked her.
"I have good news for you," Lisanna happily said.
"Okay, what is it?" Cassandra asked why her forehead's creased.
"The Battle of the Strongest was canceled!" Lisanna happily screamed.
"Really?!" Cassandra asked her and Lisanna nodded while smiling.
"Yes! Yes!" Cassandra said while jumping in joy. The luck is truly on her side because she thought she would still be fighting Jessa Silvernia. She hugged Lisanna and thanked her. Cassandra immediately took a shower and fixed herself. She couldn't stop smiling as she got out of her room.
"You looked happy," Abegail noticed. Cassandra just smiled at her and sat on the chair.
"Who wouldn't be happy with what Lisanna has said?" Cassandra thought. She picked the pancakes on the plate and ate them.
"Guys, hurry up. We need to go to the gymnasium because there will be an announcement," Lisanna said. Abegail and Cassandra just nodded their heads. Cassandra hurriedly finished her pancakes and washed the plate she used. They all went out of the dorm and hastily go to the gymnasium.
There were already a lot of students when they entered. There was almost no space. Oliver called them and gave them seats in front of the stage; he's with Sebastian. Cassandra sat beside her mate.
Sebastian was holding her hands and playing with her fingers. Oliver was sitting beside Abegail while Lisanna sat beside Jet. Cassandra was looking around to find Liam and the mean girls, but she can't see them. All students went silent when an older man went up to the stage.
"Who is he?" Cassandra whispered to Sebastian.
"He's the owner of this school. Gideon Henderson," Sebastian answered. She felt shivers in her spine. Cassandra doesn't know him, but she knows one thing is for sure. He's a mighty man.
"Hello, my dear students and the new students of Academia. We decided to cancel the Battle of the Strongest to introduce the new students formally," Gideon said. "So tomorrow we will have a party. That's all. For other information, you may ask your professor. Good morning," he added. The students applauded him as he went down the stage. Some students were happy and excited about the party while some students don't care.
"Love, let's leave. I need to tell you something," Sebastian said. Cassandra glanced at him, and he looked serious. They said their goodbyes to Abegail and the rest and went out of the gym.
The two went to the garden of the school, and no one was there. No one was visiting the garden, but it is still well maintained and beautiful. They sat down on the solid chair that was built there.
"So what do you want to say?" Cassandra asked him. Sebastian held her hand and kissed it, which made her smile. Sebastian's really charming.
"Nothing. I want to say I love you," Sebastian said, then smiled at her. Cassandra's heartbeats fastened; she could feel the butterflies in her stomach going wild. She smiled at him and pinched his cheeks.
"I love you too, my vampire," Cassandra replied.
"Cassy! Omg! We need to find a dress!" Lisanna hysterically said to Cassandra when she got back. After Sebastian and she talked in the garden, he escorted her back to her dorm.
"Lis, I'm not in the mood to party," Cassandra said to her. Lisanna glared at her, which she gulped and took a step backward. She closed her eyes and heaved a sigh.
"Fine!" Cassandra said. Lisanna smiled and hugged her.
"I love you, Cassy! Let's go!" Lisanna said. She grabbed Cassandra out of the dorm, and they went to a boutique to find a dress.
"Is this okay?" Cassandra asked her. It was the 10th dress she already tried, but Lisanna still doesn't like it. Lisanna shook her head once again and gave her another dress to fit. Cassandra sighed and went back to the fitting room; she put the dress on and locked herself in the mirror.
"Wow," Cassandra amazingly said as she looked at her reflection in the mirror.
"I love this dress!" she excitedly thought and giggled. She went out of the fitting room to find Lisanna.
"Lis!" Cassandra called her. Lisanna looked back at her and gasped.
"Cassy! You look stunning! That's it, we are going to buy that dress," Lisanna said while grinning at Cassandra. Cassandra smiled; she felt so happy about the dress. Lisanna already found a dress for her and Abegail too. They both went to the counter to pay.
"I'm so excited!" Lisanna said, with matching giggles, and Cassandra just laughed at her. It's was so obvious how excited she is. They bought their food and went back to the dorm. When they went inside, they saw Abegail sleeping soundly on the couch. Cassandra grabbed a blanket and put it on her. After that, she went into her room with the dress she bought.
Cassandra lay down on the bed and took out her phone. She remembered she hasn't called her mother since she arrived in Academia. Cassandra dialed her number.
"Hello?" After a few rings, her mother answered. Cassandra smiled.
"Mom!" she said
"Cassandra! How are you? Why didn't you call me! Your Dad and I were so worried about you!" Cassandra's mother dramatically said. She couldn't help but chuckle.
"Mom! Calm down. I'm okay. I'm doing fine here at the Academia. Don't worry too much, okay? How's Blaze, by the way?" Cassandra asked her. Her mom did not answer, and that made her worry.
"Mom, what happened?" Cassandra asked her again.
"He's devastated, my child. Ella is missing. His mate is missing," her mom said.
"What?!" Cassandra said shockingly. She was surprised, knowing that Blaze already found his mate. But she was more astonished by the fact that the girl was currently missing. Cassandra's worried about her twin brother and the pack.
"Do you want me to go back and help?" she asked her mom.
"No. Stay there, Cassy," Cassandra's mom replied. She let out a sigh.
"Please, let me talk to my twin, Mom," Cassandra pleaded. She heard glasses breaking, and she had bit her lower lip. Cassandra listened to her mother saying something, and she knows Blaze is listening.
"Blaze, you idiot," Cassandra softly said. Her twin brother did not reply.
"Hey! Didn't you miss me?" Cassandra asked him.
"I missed you, stubborn Cassy," Blaze said. Cassandra almost cried when she heard him speak. She knows her twin brother is in pain, and it pains her too because she's not in the pack to comfort him.
"I heard what happened. You'll find her, Blaze," Cassandra said to him.
"Yeah," that's all her brother said. Cassandra heaved a sigh and said goodbye to them. She closed her eyes but before drifting to sleep. She felt someone lay beside her, hugged her, and whispered.
"Sleep tight, my Queen."
