CHAPTER 47: THE EVICTION

Three days after, Alyssa had returned to their home, grieving. Alyssa never leaves the room and always cries. She could hardly eat and could not accept the loss of her child.

Leonard could do nothing but watch his sad wife in the distance. They never talk to each other anymore, and so Ethan, before Ethan, used to approach Alyssa easily.

Alyssa seems to have a change after the tragedy.

Leonard is already wearing an executive suit to go to the office today because it is the day that he will evict his aunt’s son, Ru. Since the day it was the one who fills his position temporarily just a few days ago, many shareholders and workers had complained about it because of its wrong policy.

Today, he will also put an end to his aunt’s evil deed. They found out that this was the mastermind behind the accident of Alyssa and that she used Elena to be her bait from his ex-girlfriend and not only that. They also get evidence that showed that his aunt was the mastermind of his parents’ death.

Finally, Leonard’s previous promise to his parents to bring justice to their deaths will fulfill. But of all the pleasure he feels now, the grief he is carrying now is even greater.

The one who was badly affected by what would happen to his aunt was his beloved grandfather. It is his daughter, after all, and he can’t fully imagine that his daughter could kill her brother just because of power and envy.

It was added by his wife that seemed hopeless. So for him, it seemed like everything he is doing now seems pointless. However, he had to do it because it was the right thing to do.

He approached his wife, who was facing in front of the window, to say goodbye. It was as if watching something. “Alyssa, I have to go to work now.” He said, but she didn’t seem to hear it, so he did not disturb it and just left.

Leonard immediately left their house and hurried to get in his car. He didn’t even have breakfast at it. He also loses his appetite.

About a few minutes had passed. Finally, Leonard had already arrived at his company building. He immediately entered. As soon as he entered the company, He was greeted instantly by his employees.

As usual, he just nodded at them with a poker face. He continued walking until he reached his office. Exactly, when he entered his office, his new secretary, Mrs. Amy Pineda, immediately greeted him, accompanied by bowing its head regarding her boss. “Good morning, sir,”

“Good morning,” Leonard replied.

“Is everything ready?” he asked.

“Yes, sir, as you instructed.” Mrs. Pineda said.

“That’s good, let’s go,” he commanded his secretary.

Mrs. Pineda answered by nodding.

Leonard immediately walks to the meeting hall while his secretary followed him. When he arrived at the meeting hall, board members immediately greeted him.

He immediately sat down in the center, and they directly discussed the company’s problems in the days he was away. Especially the one that his cousin did. They did not call Ru to the meeting.

For board members, it has no right to lead the company and should not be given value and recognized. “So, what are your decisions now?” Leonard asked the board members.

One of the board members raised his hand to speak. “Okay, speak.” Leonard permitted.

“I know he is your cousin, and I know that how disrespectful I would be, but we want him to kick out from the company.” Said one of the board members, Mr. Ronaldo Perez.

“To be fair to him, we need to vote. Whoever here agrees that he will stay to the company can raise his hand.” Leonard commanded.

Leonard waited for someone to raise, but nothing. Leonard already expected it. He only did this so that his aunt would not say that he was very unfair. He continued speaking. “Okay, let’s proceed. Whoever here doesn’t agree that Mr. Ru Chin will stay here in the company can raise a hand.”

In less than a minute, all the board members had raised their hands. It is just a sign that they want to kick him out of the company. It satisfied Leonard with the board’s decision.

Everything seemed to be easy for him. He no longer had to work hard to explain and present evidence to evict his cousin because the board, itself, wanted it. “Since the majority is to kick him out here, I have no objection to it. Meeting dismiss.” He said.

The board members delighted with him. They were even more impressed with Leonard by his professionalism. They all stood up and greeted his return one by one. Then all the board members came out, and they left only Leonard and his secretary that was standing a while ago.

He suddenly felt hungry. He thought of ordering food, so he mentions the name of his secretary. “Mrs. Pineda.”

Immediately, his secretary approached him. “Yes, sir,”

“Please order food for me. Anything will do.” He commanded.

“Okay, sir, right away.” Then his secretary hurried away.

Exactly when his secretary left, his cousin Ru suddenly rushed in furiously. “How dare you oust me from my position??? Why did you do this to me??? Are you the owner??? Does it that grandpa is the owner and my mother is the daughter??? You are just a worker like me!!! So what right do you have to fire me???”

Leonard stood up from where he sat and smirk. “Right? Oh, right, speaking of right. Have you forgotten that I’m the CEO of the company, so I have a goddamn right!!! But don’t get mad at me. You thank me instead because I did not vote to expel you. It was the board members of the company. So what I can do with a vote of mine. That I have reserved for you against the vote of the majority? I have no choice but to agree with them. I’m very unprofessional if I enforced our blood relationship. Right? Rules are rules, cousin!!! Don’t act like a child! Be professional!” He said to his cousin.

“You’re very arrogant!!! Believe me, you have a day with me too!!!” His cousin Ru yield at him as he clenched both hands.

Leonard stared at his cousin and smirked again at it. “Huh, let’s see,”

His cousin looked sharply at him as if he wanted to punch him and immediately left in front of him.
