CHAPTER 41: HIS SECRETARIES BETRAYAL

Alyssa and Ethan have returned to their home. Ethan immediately informed his grandfather of the good news. It thrilled the old Master Guang to know that the baby in Alyssa’s womb is in good condition. Especially when he found out that Alyssa was pregnant with a boy, so Master Guang had a shower party to reveal.

Out of excitement, Master Guang immediately called his daughter Jing Chin (the aunt of Leonard and Ethan). He was standing in the living room. “Jing, my dear daughter, please come here for a moment. I have something important to announce to you.”

Leonard’s aunt immediately approached her father. “Yes, dad, what do you want to announce?” she asked Master Guang.

“Finally, Alyssa found out the gender of her pregnancy, and it’s a boy. Hahaha, hahaha…! I’m so happy, Jing, that God blessed me again of a great-grandson.” Master Guang said, full of happiness.

Nothing can contain the happiness Master Guang feels. But this is contrary to how Leonard’s aunt feels. She just forced herself to smile in front of her father. Pretend to be delighted. “Wow, please send my congratulations to them, dad,” she said.

Master Guang touched his daughter’s right shoulder and said, “My dear, can I ask you a favor?” he looked at his daughter seriously.

“Of course, dad, what is it?” she asked Master Guang, still faking her smile, even though it annoyed her.

“Can you prepare everything for the upcoming baby shower reveal party?” her father asked.

“Sure, dad, I will. You know that it’s my specialty.” She said.

“Can I trust you with this?” Master Guang asked his daughter. That seemed to have a doubt.

Jing felt her father was still suspicious of her because of the sin she had committed before. That is why she felt disappointed with him. However, she still answered it with a smile and jokingly told him. “Of course, dad, I will. Don’t you trust me anymore?”

“Of, course, my dear, I believe you. You are my daughter, after all.” Master Guang replied.

He tapped his daughter’s shoulder.

“Alright, I’ll leave first. I have something important to deal with.” Master Guang said, simultaneously walking towards the door.

Jing smiles at Master Guang and then gestured her hand to wave. “Bye, dad, take care,” she said. Jing waited for his father to come out of the door, and when it came out, and the door was closed, Jing then showed the annoyance she was feeling. “Ah…!!!” she shouted as she clenched both hands.

Her daughter Jia Chin heard her, so she immediately went to her mother. “Mom, what’s wrong? Why are you shouting?” her daughter asked worriedly.

She gritted her teeth out in anger and said, “That bitch, I hate her!”

“Who, mom, whom you mean?” her daughter asked, confused.

“You are very slow, so that’s the reason that until now, you still haven’t won your grandfather’s heart! Who else would I mean? Of course, it’s the wife of your cousin!!!” she replied angrily to her daughter.

“Why are you yelling at me? Am I your enemy? Do I know she is what you mean? Humph, whatever,” annoyed answer of Jia at once walked away from her gloomy mother.

Jing was even more annoyed when her daughter walks out from here. “Ah…!!! Useless brat!” she uttered.

“Ring, ring, ring…,” her cellphone rang. She immediately took it to the center table. She looks at the caller.

Her forehead frowned when she saw who it was. She seemed to know it. She stuck it to her ear. “Make sure that it's good news. I’m not in the mood to talk about useless things, and I might fire you in no time.” She threatens the caller.

The caller speaks to her that only she can hear. When she suddenly grinned at what the person she is talking with said.

“Okay, I’ll be there in a minute.” She said. Then she fled the house with only her cellphone.

Elena wondered who was knocking on the door when she had no expectant visitor. She thought first before opening it when all that comes to her mind was maybe it's Leonard coming back to her. She felt hope and quickly wiped away her tears and immediately stood up.

When she opened the door, her eyes widened at what she saw. She knew who knock. It was Leonard’s aunt, who she knew was her ex-boyfriend’s mortal enemy. “W-What are you doing here? H-How do you know my place?” she asked.

“Won’t you even let me in?” Leonard’s aunt asked. Elena cleared the way so that Leonard’s aunt could enter. Immediately, it entered.

“What do you want?” Elena asked straightforwardly.

Her right eyebrow rose, and then she curled her hands with each other. “I won’t beat around the bush anymore. I know everything about you and my niece, and even your broke up.” She smiled at Elena.

“So what’s your point?” she asked again.

Leonard’s aunt grinned at her. “I’ll help you, but in one condition, you will help me, too. Deal?” at once stretched her hands to shake with her.

Elena nodded to Leonard’s aunt and shook hands.

-At Leonard’s office-

Leonard sat in his office while waiting for his trusted bodyguard, Joey. In a couple of minutes of waiting, it came. It immediately bowed to him, holding two brown envelopes.

Leonard gestured his bodyguard to come closer to him. It immediately came forward and gave him the file. He immediately opened it, and the nonsense that Elena had done to him unfolded to him.

Leonard had suspected for a long time that Elena had another affair while he was not there and that he wasn’t the father of what Elena bearing, but Leonard didn’t confront it first because Leonard wanted to gather the evidence before he will accuse her and now that Leonard learned that all his suspicion was correct, he could no longer be guilty to remove Elena totally from his life.

He also knew for a long time that his trusted secretary was a traitor and that she was Elena’s puppy. He looked at his bodyguard and asked. “Where is the flash drive?” His bodyguard handed him the flash drive.

“Sir, here it is. I already gave a copy to the police station as you instructed to me.”

He smiled at his bodyguard. “Good Job, Joey.” You may now go. Immediately his bodyguard comes out.

Then he called his secretary. His secretary hurriedly went inside to his office, trembling in fear. “W-What do you want me to do, sir?” she asked as she bowed her head. She couldn’t look Leonard in the eye. She knew it doomed her today.

Leonard looked at his secretary with a stony face. “How long you and Elena connive with each other against me?” he said in a husky voice. Leonard’s secretary burst into tears in front of him and knelt in front of him. “Please forgive me, sir. I don’t want to cheat on you. But I’m enticed by her offer because of my intense need!!! Boohoo…!!!” she cried, begging onto him.

“Left before my blood heats with you, and starting today, you’re fired!!!” Leonard said furiously to his secretary.

His secretary did nothing but go out of his office crying.
