CHAPTER 13: VISITING THE OLD MANSION

She adjusted her dress while she was outside in their walk-in closet. She walked towards the door to get out of the room with her head down when she suddenly bump into something.

Due to the forceful bump, her lips landed into it. She notices it was a bit firm and smooth and a bit of a captivating scent. She gently rubbed it to find out what she bumped into when her husband suddenly spoke, "Are you finished?"

She was taken aback by what it said. It was the body of her husband that she groped. Her cheeks blushed with shame.

"I-I'm sorry, I did not mean it," Alyssa said. Then she walks out of the room.

When she was on the outside already, she first looks around to see if there was no one else. When she confirmed that she was alone, this is what Alyssa uttered in her mouth to herself. "Oh, God, what have I done? It's embarrassing," Her face turns red at the embarrassment she had felt as she stomped her feet.

After she stomped on her foot, she hurried downstairs to cook. When she came to the kitchen, she hurriedly cooked for the siblings.

Fortunately, her grandparents raise her to be independent. She knows the housework, especially the cooking.

"Mm…, smells good. What did you cook? I guess that is delicious."

Alyssa turned to the one who compliments her cooking. She knew it was Ethan, so she smirks at it. "It's just an ordinary breakfast. You cook better than me." Alyssa complimented him.

"Wow, are you complimenting me?" Ethan responds Alyssa jokingly.

"It's more than that, and I think I am one of your fans when in terms of cooking." Alyssa also responded with a joking statement.

Ethan smiled at what she said and told her, "You know what, you also have a sense of humor, and with that, I think we can get along."

Alyssa responded to him with a smile.

They both have fun talking to each other without realizing that Leonard was behind them. "Ahem, ahem…,"

They both turned, and when they saw it was Leonard, they both didn't say a word.

"Oh, it's like an angel passes by. Why did you stop? Earlier, you were enjoying talking with each other, and now both of you were silent. Did I miss something?" Leonard asked with suspicion.

Ethan approached his older brother to relieve the tension and said, "Bro, you're so serious. Your wife and I are just talking about anything."

"I am not mad at all. I'm just wondering why you stop? When I arrived?" Leonard said.

Ethan just smiled at his older brother and said, "Of course, what would you expect? You came here unannounced."

Leonard furrowed at his brother. "What do you mean? I still need to announce that I will come even just here in the kitchen?" he asked with a bit loud voice.

"Okay, okay, you win, just please don't make a fuss out of it, okay?" Ethan responded.

Alyssa noticed that the sibling seemed to be getting heated. She made a way to interrupt their conversation. "Hmmm, e-excuse me, I think we need to eat because the food is ready. Anyone wants to volunteer to help me prepare the cutlery?" Alyssa grinned.

The two brothers turned to her with their foreheads furrowed. She said, "oops, sorry,"

Ethan went to the cabinet where the cutleries have placed silently. While Leonard just stood there with his arms folded while waiting for the preparation to finish.

When Ethan and Alyssa finished preparing the food and cutlery, they eat immediately without talking. They finally finished eating. Alyssa volunteered to clean everything while the two brothers went back upstairs. When Alyssa had finished all the work, she also went upstairs to get dressed again.

Alyssa and Leonard went out of their house to visit Master Guang Lee. The bodyguards immediately greeted them. Then the bodyguard escorted them into the car.

When they were in the car, Alyssa felt awkward. Her husband didn't even speak to her as if he had not seen her and then until they reached the house of Master Guang Lee.

When they got out of the car, Alyssa was shocked when her husband holds her waist, so she looked at him.

She saw him grinning. Alyssa was curious who he smiled at, so Alyssa looked to the front, and there she saw Master Guang Lee.

He was standing at the front door holding his cane while waiting for them to arrive.

They immediately approached Master Guang Lee.

"Good morning, grandpa. How was your day?" Leonard greeted his grandfather.

"I'm more than okay now that you grant my request." Master Guang Lee replied with a smile.

Alyssa also greeted Master Guang Lee. "Hello, grandpa, how are you? Did you eat well? I miss you, grandpa, so much," she simultaneously hugs Master Guang Lee.

Master Guang Lee was so happy because of Alyssa's treatment of him. He responded to her hug at once said, "Oh, my daughter-in-law is sensible to me. Besides, being pretty and also thoughtful. I don't regret that you are the one I chose to be, the wife of my grandson. At least I have peace of mind that you will take good care of him."

Alyssa smiled at the compliment of Master Guang Lee. Then she let go of the hug and said, "Thank you, grandpa,"

Leonard frowned at the kindness shown of her wife to his grandpa. He was even more annoyed with her. Now he realized that his wife was good at manipulating a person.

They entered the house together. When they arrived in the living room, Alyssa immediately resumed talking to Master Guang Lee. In contrast, Leonard was just like a wind that no one got to notice. He left the two.

Alyssa notices that Leonard had left. She would have followed him when Master Guang Lee stopped her. "Just let her, Alyssa."

"Okay, grandpa," Alyssa replied.

Master Guang Lee continued speaking while Alyssa looked around expecting, that her husband might return. Master Guang Lee noticed that Alyssa seemed worried about her husband. So he allows her to go to him.

Alyssa immediately left the living room to look for her husband in the garden.
