CHAPTER 10: THE SCHEME
Leonard had already finished the documents signed, so he looked at his watch to know the time. It was 7: 00 in the evening. He quickly arranged for his desk to go home early. He even canceled all his meetings today to talk to his wife.
It's not his habit to go home early, but because he wanted to speak to his wife to be willing to come with him tomorrow to his grandfather's house, so he was forced to go home. It was his first time trying to ask for a favor from someone, and the worst thing is, to his wife, whom he hated, but he could not do anything because his grandfather requested it, and he does not want his grandfather to be disappointed in him.
He called his secretary to get his car ready. "Miss Trinidad,"
"Yes, sir," she quickly answered his boss.
"Please tell my driver to get ready the car." He commanded her.
His secretary wondered why his boss wanted to go home early even though it was not his habit to go home that early. She thought that maybe his boss was already in love with his new wife and had forgotten his girlfriend.
His secretary knew that he had a girlfriend he loved very much, and she knew they had been lovers for a long time. They even plan to get married. But he has been forced to postpone their marriage because his grandfather was against it. He decided to wait for the day his grandfather would agree, but the day he hoped to happen would be just a dream because it already had a plan for him.
It was to marry him to the person he does not love, and above all, the person he does not know. As his secretary thought of what had happened to her boss, she felt sorry for him and his girlfriend.
His secretary walks towards the garage to inform the driver to get ready for the car. Then suddenly a beautiful lady that was wearing a red sleeveless whole dress with, above the knees cut, and red high heeled shoes saw her and called. "Hi, you are Miss Trinidad, right, the secretary of my boyfriend?"
It was Elena Salvador, daughter of the mayor in M city and the girlfriend of Leonard Lee. Her family was well-known to have a bad reputation and rival of the grandpa of Leonard. That is why his grandfather opposed their relationship.
She knew that the woman who called her was the girlfriend of her boss, so she answered. "Yes, ma'am, nice to meet you, ma'am," "Nice to meet you too, Miss," she responded to the secretary.
"What can I do for you, ma'am?" she asked her boss's girlfriend.
"Does Leonard was in his office?" the woman asked the secretary.
The secretary of Leonard quickly answered as she bows her head. "Yes, ma'am, he is there and about to go home early."
The woman frowned and asked again. "What, he will go home early? How come? It was not his attitude to go home this early. What's the reason? Did he tell you?"
"He had not told me, ma'am. I guess it's because of her wife?" she said.
As the secretary said the word "wife," she raised her eyebrow and asked. "Wife, Why is she beautiful?"
Leonard's secretary noticed that his boss's girlfriend seemed enraged, so she quickly replies to it as she shakes her head.
"N-No, ma'am, she is just ordinary. She is nothing compared on your little finger."
The woman seemed delighted, so she told Leonard's secretary.
"Hmmm..., I think we can get along."
The woman handed her cellphone to the secretary and said, "Here, put your number there, and let me know all the happenings here in the company and the house, don't worry. I'll take care of your family."
Leonard's secretary was enticed, with the woman's offer, so she readily agreed. Then the woman left.
When his boss's girlfriend left, she immediately went back to his boss's office to know that his car was ready. "Sir, the car is ready." The secretary said as she bows her head to his master.
"Okay, thanks," Leonard answered.
Leonard got up from his seat to go to the garage, and he walks quickly to get down to the building. When he got to his car, he hurriedly got into it and signaled the driver.

A few minutes later, they arrived at his house. Leonard fell asleep. He didn't realize that he had got to his home if his driver hadn't woken him up. "Sir, we are already here."
"Oh, sorry, I fall asleep," he responded to his driver.
He rubbed his eyes, and then, he fixes his hair and suit and goes out of the car.
As he got out of the car, he then pauses as he lifted his head in the direction of his room watching. He stared at his room for a long time as he could see the woman in it because of the bright light. He knew who was inside in it, and he anticipated seeing her, and when he felt numbness in his feet, he stepped into his door while holding his briefcase, and he carefully opened their door.
He was already inside the house. He temporarily put the briefcase he was holding and slowly loosened his necktie around his neck.
He finally felt comfortable. Then he felt thirsty. He went to the kitchen first to drink water. He immediately took cold bottled water and slowly sipped it to quench his thirst.
He had already finished drinking a bottle of water, so he stepped into the trash can that has hidden in the cabinet located under the sink. When he was right in front of the sink, he opened the cabinet under it and threw away the empty one. Then he walked back to the living room to pick up the briefcase he had placed on the sofa. He was already in front of the couch, so he grabbed it and went upstairs.
When he was in front of the door to his room, he slowly opened it hoping that his wife was there. As he opened the door, he saw his wife standing while wearing a white sleeveless dress that dropped up to above the knees, while you could almost see her lingerie because of its thinness.
He couldn't help but stare at it, especially since its body had a beautiful curve.
"Oh, you come home already. Have you eaten yet?" Alyssa asked.
He didn't answer right away because he seemed fascinated by it.
Alyssa wondered why his husband was staring at him without moving. "Hey, are you okay?" she asked again.
Leonard stuttered in embarrassment because he was guilty of staring at her.
"H-Hmm, y-yes..., I'm okay. Can we talk?" he asked her.
