Chapter 34: Chapter 34

Elsewhere, in the same hotel, there was a loud knock on Ray's door. It was already four in the morning, he hadn't slept yet and thought it must be Hailey. He gritted his teeth and opened it.

The one in front of him was indeed Hailey, but the woman was not alone, with a bourgeois young man.

"Oh, who are you? Are you her brother? I remember this woman said she was alone in the hotel." The man pulled Hailey up, who was drunk and staggering in his arms.

Ray digested this incident with suppressed anger. The strong smell of alcohol greeted his nose in a bad way.

"Give her to me."

The young man stepped back when he reached out a hand. "I asked who you were. Could it be that I'm in the wrong room? I can't give my girlfriend to just anyone."

"Girlfriend?" Ray's brow furrowed.

"Ah, but this card access is correct," muttered the man without paying attention to Ray, he pulled Hailey who almost fell again. "Hey, you, are you possibly a thief?"

"I don't want to make small talk, let go of Hailey."

"Ouch, you even know her name! For a thief you are very superior, man!"

Ray didn't respond and moved forward firmly. The man was half drunk, so all his movements were a bit unstraightforward, only when Ray put all his strength in front, he couldn't even fight back. Just like that he managed to take Hailey.

"You really ... I'll call the staffs to throw you out!"

Easily, Ray grabbed the man by the back of his collar as he was about to run away, then dragged him into the room and locked the door. Inside, he laid Hailey on the couch. His expression was very dark and cold. He had prominent blue veins on his forehead.

The young man, who had been somewhat excited earlier, was now nearly passed out from the alcohol. Ray took a glass of water and splashed his face.

The man was shocked. "Huh? What? What? My house is leaking?! No! I'm already rich! My house doesn't leak anymore!"

Then he laughed like a crazy person.

Ray stopped the laughter with a tight grip on his cheek. "Tell me what did you do to my girlfriend?"

"Your girlfriend?" The man was dazed.

Previously, he had contacted Adam, who was on this cruise but was at another room. The man entered without knocking.

"Mr. Sanders, you called me?"

Ray let go of the man and turned around. "Take him and ask him everything."

Adam wasn't hired for free—he actually has skills. The position of private driver is just a cover. He was actually an informant who doubles as a bodyguard who has worked for Ray for four years. He was very competent and a loyal dog to death. He was also the one who helped with Ray's affairs behind the scenes, if the man couldn't trust anyone.

By hearing his master's orders, he gauged the situation quickly and immediately came to a conclusion.

"I'll let you know as soon as I can," he said, picking up the young man and carrying him out.

Ray was silent for a few moments. Adam's footsteps were heard until the door opened and the wind came in from outside. As the door closed, he finally let out a breath.

He turned to look at Hailey, and coldness flashed through his eyes.

In the morning, Alexa was awakened by a knock on the door and two servants standing in front of her hotel room. It was still early and she didn't sleep very well, the servant's presence made her sleepy eyes disappear.

"I didn't order room service," she refused, yawning.

"Miss, this is all under Mr. Ray Sanders' orders." One the servant answered politely.

That name again, she thought. But remembering that at least she could use this for Fillo's good. she swallowed her reluctance. "Come in."

One servant came in pushing a food trolley into the room, while another servant gave her something. It was like some kind of ticket, before receiving it, she just stared at it blankly.

"What? Do I have to pay?" She played dumb, intending to refuse.

The servant smiled politely. "Miss, this is a dolphin ticket on deck 8. Ticket for two people."

"Dolphin?" Fillo appeared from behind her thighs, peeking curiously.

"Right, does Little Master like dolphins?"

"Mn." Fillo nodded.

The servant just smiled even wider, not realizing Alexa's bent face and crouched down to give her son the ticket.

Fillo looked at his mother. "Mom, is that okay?"

Alexa gritted her teeth. "S-Sure."

The little boy happily took the tickets. He looked at the servant timidly. "Will Daddy come along?"

"Excuse me?"

"Ah, what are you saying? Yes, we can invite Daddy later," she laughed awkwardly and covered Fillo's mouth immediately. "Now come in. Mom will hold the tickets."

"Mn."

Her laughter disappeared completely when Fillo left, all that remained was a cold and arrogant face. The servant frowned slightly uncomfortably. Not long after, the servant who was pushing the trolley came out of the room.

"Miss, that's enough food for breakfast and lunch," he explained.

She crossed her arms, sneering, "He likes to bother himself and waste money, doesn't he?"

The two servants were still smiling, even though they had just heard words of dissatisfaction with the boss who paid them.

"This servant will express the thanks to Mr. Sanders on your behalf."

"No need."

"Okay. Perhaps you would like to thank him personally, so this servant will not be a bother."

"Who will thank him? I won't thank him. Tomorrow, tell him not to bother wasting money anymore!"

The servant might be sneering in his heart, but his lips were still smiling. "Then, I will ..."

"Ah. Hold on."

The servant was still smiling faithfully.

"I'll tell him myself," she said finally, thinking that if someone else had raised this objection, it would have been different. "Never mind! Go quickly!"

But the two servants did not leave.

"What are you guys waiting for? Tips? Nothing, I'm poor."

The servant explained, "That's not it, Miss. Sorry if this is a little presumptuous, but I told you that Mr. Sanders was going to get off in Mexico and not complete the trip."

Her heart turned cold. "Why?"

This Dream Cruise trip covers three countries in five days, if Ray chooses to leave suddenly, something might happen.

"Sorry, Miss, this servant doesn't know."

The servant specifically told this without knowing what Ray and Alexa's relationship really was, not because he was specifically asked by Ray. Seeing the closeness of the two, he felt that conveying this news might be a waste, but it turned out that Alexa really didn't know about this.

Because she didn't answer anything and seemed dazed, the servant said again, "This is just what I heard from another staff. You can confirm it again with Mr. Sanders."

Alexa came back to her senses. "Whatever. If he want to go, then go, it's none of my business."

The two servants were a bit irritated by Alexa's indifferent attitude. Getting the sweet attention of a rich businessman is everyone's dream. They thought the relationship between the two was quite good, but it turned out that this woman was too low.

They cursed Alexa in their hearts.

"Never mind, that's all, right? Go away quick."

With that, the two servants immediately left.

After entering and closing the door, she leaned against the door, gradually her body slumped down. And then laughed dryly.

'Want to go, yes, just go away! It's not my business!'

She laughed again, but not really relieved. Her heart was empty. Her mind was blank.
