Today’s training is very intense. Angel didn’t stop until I almost passed out.
But for the record, I can feel my muscles strengthen and I feel lighter than I can move easily.
“This is the last training I’ll be giving you today.”
She throws me a piece of cloth.
“What for?” I asked.
“Not all the time you can see your opponent. We need to strengthen our senses too. Like wolves, we have sensitive earrings and eyesight. Both of them help us to track and feel our surroundings, however, we never know when we lose them in a battle. The most common technique in fighting your opponent is making them blind if someone did that to you. You must not panic and trust your other senses.”
He put out a handkerchief and cover my eyes.
“What is it for?”
“This is your final training. I want you to fight using your human strength while blindfolded. There were fights where you might lose your wolf, you need to be prepared to fight hand-to-hand combat. I will attack you. You need to protect yourself at any cost. Don’t hesitate to hurt me, we will fight like we are going due.”
This is it. I know that Angel has been worried about me. She knows that many she-wolves want to take my spot. I need to protect myself and fight. I don't want to die and lost the chance to be with Mark.
“I’m ready.”
“Then let's start.”
My sense as a human being is not that strong when I got my wolf strength. But I need to do this alone.
Angel was right. I can not rely on my wolf all the time.
I tried to focus on the sound she makes. Angel told me that once I lost my eyesight, my other senses will enhance.
I can hear her breathing and her footsteps but I don't know where she will strike.
Finally, I heard fast footsteps coming on my left but I’m not that fast to dodge her attack. I fell back and she kicked me on the side.
“Stand up, Wendy. You have to focus on the wind. I can move faster and trick you because you are blind but the wind can not hide my movement. You have to move once you feel the change of the wind.” she instructed.
“That’s not easy.”
She hit my butt. “There’s no such thing as easy in this life,” Angel said.
We continue our training until I finally got it. I can dodge her attack and counterattack. She pinned me almost one hundred times but I managed to stand again and pinned her just once.
That's a big achievement if you will ask me.
“Wendy, this is my final lesson for you. Don’t hesitate to kill. A Luna should know when to take life. It’s not an easy task but it’s the only way to show your power.”
“I know and thank you for sharing your experience with me. This will be a big help when the time comes. I hope I can do something for you but I think anything.”
“You don’t have to repay me. I did it because I like you and Mark. He deserves to be happy. This tradition of Wolf Fang should be eliminated. This is old school.”
“You’re right. It’s like testing the Moon Goddess.”
“Don’t worry, Mark will protect you. I’ll be here when the time comes.”
“I heard that Gabriel was calling Mark every time you’re here.”
“That punk is getting on my nerves.”
“You can’t blame him. I can see how much he loves you.”
“Mark is like my brother, Kayden is my best friend, and you are my friend too. I don’t know why need to be jealous of all of you.”
“Even me?”
“YES!”
“Maybe he’s just worried. I heard what happened to you before. Mark told me how worried they are when you are taken.”
“They should stop worrying too much.”
“I can’t blame them. They fear that someone plots another skim to kidnap you. I heard that you are looking for a witch.”
“That witch knows how to hide. I’m looking for her and they keep thinking about what she wants from me but I can’t remember anything.”
“Being powerful is not easy. You have bigger responsibilities because of it.”
“I’m afraid that’s true but I need to find out soon before something happens to everyone.”
“Is that the reason why you don’t want to have a child?”
“Gabriel also told that to Mark?”
I scratched my head. I think I asked too much.
“Well, as you know, Mark is also asking me the same thing.”
“What did you answer to him?”
“I want one also but because of what’s happening right now, I can’t manage to get pregnant.”
“That’s what I’ve been telling Gabriel. Someone’s coming. I can feel it. I don’t want to get pregnant until I find that witch and find out what she’s looking for.”
“Those mates of ours don’t know when to stop asking.”
We both laughed until Mark arrived.
“Are you girls done?”
We both stand up and greet him.
“We are done and she’s ready. I’m sure of it.” Angel said then elbow my side.
“Ouch!” I complained.
“Oops, I forgot that I had hit you there badly.”
“It’s fine. It will heal soon.”
“Let me handle it.” Angel come closer and put her hands on my side which was badly injured.
I feel extraordinary energy that succumbs to my side. All of the sudden, the throbbing vanished.
‘I healed your wounds.’ Angel spoke in my head.
“Thank you.”
“I have to go now. We have a meeting in the pack in a few minutes. Gabriel will lecture me again if I'm late.”
“So that is the reason why he's been calling nonstop,” Mark said.
“I apologize for his behavior, Mark.”
“Don’t worry about it. I’m used to Gabriel now. You should go now, I think it is important.”
“Okay, goodbye,” she said before teleporting again.
“Now, it's the two of us. Let's get back to our room and watch something.”
“Are you also done working today?”
“Yes.”
“Then let's go watch Netflix.”
“Let’s go then.”
