“ANGEL!” Mark shouted as he released my hand and ran fast to where Angel was.

The guy next to him seemed annoyed seeing Mark.

“Hey, Mark!” Angel also released the guy's hand and hugged Mark.

Something inside me feels different. I saw how happy Mark was when he talked to her. They both laugh when Angel acknowledges my presence. Mark follows where she finds and finds me. He said something and they all went to meet me.

“Angel, I would like you to meet my mate, Wendy,” Mark said.

Angel stared at me for a moment before smiling. She seems to imprint my scent on her memories.

“Finally, the Moon Goddess grants my plea.” She said. “But I didn’t expect her to resemble me in some angles.” Her tone didn’t mean to offend me, but I felt little in her presence.

“What do you mean, Love? I don’t see any resemblance.” The guy next to her asked.

“Then you have an eye problem. By the way, this is my husband, Gabriel. The Alpha of the Moon Crescent Pack,” Angel said.

I can feel the power radiating from both Gabriel and Mark and it suffocates me. Angel seemed to feel my problem and she hit her husband and pinched Mark’s arm.

“You both still acting like a child. Your Alpha powers are radiating all over the place. Some wolves will go to their knees because of what you two are doing,” Angel said.

They both look guilty and Mark turns to me when he realizes that it also affects his mate.

“I’m sorry Wendy. Are you okay?” Mark asked.

“I’m fine, just feel a little bit of a headache,” I said.

Angel reached over and touched my hand. I feel something warm flowing into it and I feel better after that.

“Are you okay now?” She asked.

“Did you heal me?” I asked.

“I just let my powers flow on you to take the aftereffect of their Alpha powers. But I can feel you’re strong, some of the wolves who encounter their ego battle breakdown and fall on their knees.” She explained.

“‘Maybe because I come from the beta bloodline.”

“That may be the reason. By the way, we will have dinner at Crisis. Would you like to join us?” Angel invited.

Mark looked at me.

“It’s getting late. If we stay for dinner. We might stay the night at one of the hotels here.” Mark explained.

“Don’t worry about that, Mark. Our pack is just a few minutes away. You two can stay the night and return tomorrow,” Angel said.

Mark seemed puzzled. I knew he was waiting for my answer and I did not make him wait any longer.

I smiled at him and nodded.

“Okay then,” Mark said.

I feel like Gabriel hates the idea, but he doesn’t stop Angel.

Once we are settled, a girl with a curvy body approaches us and takes our orders. Angel and I are not stupid and blind not to notice how flirtatious she is with our mates.

Angel smirks at me.

‘Want me to kill her?’

‘Oh my gosh! Angel is that you? H-How can you contact me through our pack link when you are not part of it.’ I was shocked when I heard her voice inside my head.

‘Don’t be too surprised. Mark can do it too, and also teleportation. But don’t let him do it. It takes a lot of his energy when he does that.’ Angel said, giving me information that not all people know.

‘Thank you for letting me know.’ I replied.

‘Don’t mention it. Mark is like a father at the same time as a brother to me. He helps me a lot and I’m happy to know that the Moon Goddess finally gave him what he deserves the most. I saw him in his weakest state and I tell you this, his love for you will be no boundaries and sometimes makes you suffocate, but I hope you understand him all throughout. He’s possessive as he loses most important people in his life.’ Angel said. I can feel the sincerity in his voice. She’s beautiful and kind, no wonder why Kayden fell for her even though she’s not his true mate.

I wonder what Allie will say if she meets her in person. Knowing my friend, she would not make Kayden talk to Angel. She’s really beautiful. Her eyes are very transparent. Her skin, her body, and the way she carries herself are remarkable. Angel suits her very well.

‘Don’t worry about it. I will make sure to understand him and give him time to realize that I will not leave him. I know the feeling of being left/rejected.’

‘I was rejected by my mate too, but look where we are right now.’ Angel touched Gabriel’s arm and he reciprocated and kissed her forehead.

The waitress arrived with our orders. As she places the food on our table, she keeps glancing at Gabriel and Mark side to side. She reeks of perfume. Poor girl, I think she poured half of the bottle.

We were just about to ignore her when she suddenly grabbed Mark's hand and put in a piece of paper.

‘This girl is getting out of hand. How dare she touch my mate.’ I said to Angel. She rolled her eyes at me, like saying… What’s next?.

‘Want me to kill her now?’ She asked and it shook me a bit. I can feel that she’s annoyed, but her aura is different. It seems calm yet dangerous.

‘Let me handle this.’ I said. I don’t want her to kill someone for me, because the girl is human.

‘Okay. Give me something worth watching.’

“Are you done eye-raping, my boyfriend?” I asked.

“Boyfriend? I’m sorry, I thought you were just his companion. You don’t seem to suit him.” The waitress said.

“I don’t know what you are up to, but stop touching my man. He is not interested in you.” I said, trying to let her leave on her own before I did it myself.

“ Compared to you, I look much better.” The waitress said, then she turned to Gabriel.

“Hands-off bi*ch! That guy is mine.” Angel said before the waitress lay his fingers on Gabriel. “And don’t even try to tell you again that you look better than us. I wonder if you have a mirror at home. Our face” she pointed to my face and hers “are far better than that layered make-up sh!t you have.” Angel said, making the woman turn white.

Gabriel and Mark start laughing, which makes the waitress hurriedly leave us.

“Thank you,” I said.

“Don’t ever let someone touch what’s yours. She may be a human and a pitiful one, but yours is yours,” Angel reminded her.

“I will.” Then I turned to see Mark smiling at me.

We continued to eat and chatted until we both decided to go back home.

However, Kayden called Mark and told him to come back as soon as possible due to an emergency which he didn’t let me know. We said goodbye and invited them to my birthday on Friday.

In the car…

“Angel is kind and fierce,” I said.

“You got it right. She wasn’t like that before.”

“Really? Why?”

Mark told me their history, how he met Angel and how Angel accepted Gabriel again.

“I’m happy that I decided to let her go there. The Moon Goddess shows me in my dreams and tells me to do it. I hate it at first because I hate the Moon Goddess, but there’s always a good reason for everything.”

“Maybe she is just molding us to be a better and stronger child of hers.”

“Maybe, but giving me a mate like you is the best decision she made in my life,” Mark said, making me blush.

“I think eating ice cream today makes you extra sweet.”

“You think so? Then why don’t you taste me?” He said, then winked at me.

“Mark!” I shouted inside the car. I feel embarrassed after realizing what he meant by his words.

He just laughed as we continued our way home.
