Chapter 7: Chapter 7
We walked into the reception hall and my eyes widened at the decor. I know I chose most of it but I definitely didn't think it would look this good. Thiago and I walked past all the guests who were already seated and once again clapped as we entered.
We took our seats at the front, just as Matteo stood up to make a speech, he did it in English so I understood what he said.
"I'm going to keep this short because Thiago knows how it is. Ever since I was born Thiago has been there for me, throughout our childhood and now adulthood. Whenever I've needed him, even if I knew it or not, he was there. He's the best older brother that anyone could ask for, and I want to thank him for that. I hope you're happy in your marriage Thiago and if you ever need me I'll be here for you, although I'm sure Sophie will be too, in other ways." He smirked at Thiago causing him to chuckle next to me and a few other laughs could be heard, however I just frowned at his comment. "Congratulations bro, I love you." Thiago stood up to give his brother a hug, whispering somethings to him in Italian quietly. For the next half an hour there were more speeches, some in Italian and some in English. Eventually after dinner most people had began to leave and it was mainly just Thiago's family and close friends left with me, Grace and Riley.
"You don't seem happy." I looked up to see Grace standing next to me. She took the seat next to me where Thiago was sitting before he went over to sit with Angelo and Matteo. He didn't really speak to me all night, apart from I do, he didn't say anything else to me.
"I'm fine Grace. I just...I wish mom and dad were here." I looked down at my hands trying not to spoil my make up. I wanted to get through the day without crying and feeling sorry for myself. "I know. But they're not, it is however your wedding Sophie." I sighed and shook my head as I looked around at all the people dancing and drinking champagne enjoying the evening. "It doesn't feel like it, it feels like one of those weddings where you don't know anyone but you're forced to go anyway."
Grace was silent for a moment before she stood up and held out her hand for me. "Come on, let's dance." I shook my head at her but she just grabbed my hand and pulled me up out of my seat. "Hurry up." I sighed and followed her to the dance floor. "Everyone's staring Grace stop it." She laughed at this and carried on walking. "Let them stare, you're gorgeous that's why."
We got to the edge of the dance floor when I managed to yank my hand out of Grace's grip. "Grace you're so annoying. Go and dance with someone else." She smirked at me and nodded her head causing me to frown, she turned away just as someone tapped my shoulder. I sighed in frustration and turned around to see Thiago.
"Give me your hand." My frown increased but I gave him my hand anyway. As soon as I did I regretted it when he pulled me onto the dance floor. "Thiago stop it I don't want to dance." He gave me a smirk and pulled me closer, wrapping his arms around my waist, knowing everyone had stopped their conversations to watch us dance.
"You're shy, it's cute." I shook my head whilst placing my hands on his shoulders and I hid my face in his chest. Thiago leaned down and whispered in my ear. "You look absolutely beautiful by the way...Mrs De Mancuso." I felt a shiver run down my spine at the sound of Thiago's deep husky voice.
"Stop it Thiago." I felt his chest vibrate as he laughed. "Fine." We danced for a bit longer, Thiago did a few fancy moves causing me to glare at him every time. I hate dancing, and the dress I was wearing was just making matters worse. Eventually more and more left and the hall became mostly empty.
I left Grace and Riley who were still busy drinking champagne like they'd never had it before and made my way over to Thiago who was once again sitting with Matteo and Angelo who both seemed to be slightly drunk.
"Thiago let's go I'm tired." Thiago nodded and Matteo let out a drunken laugh. "Sophie can't wait to get home, can you? The little puttana.." (whore)
He glared at me as he took another sip of his drink, both Angelo and Thiago chuckled at his comment. I frowned knowing exactly what he just said to me.
"Fuck you." He just laughed whilst drinking from his glass.
I finally let myself cry when I had to say goodbye to Grace and Riley knowing I wouldn't see them for a long time. For this reason I was grateful I didn't have to say goodbye to them in London because I know I would have just ended up telling them the truth and Thiago probably would have killed my whole family. He's a bit temperamental like that.
Thiago and I got into the limo which was going to take us back to his house, Mia said she'll get all my stuff from the hotel room and drop it off to his house tomorrow. We sat in a tense silence, neither one of us saying a word. I was absolutely furious that he laughed at what Matteo said, both times; during his best man speech and just now.
When we got back to the house I got out the limo and went straight upstairs to our bedroom to get out of the stupid wedding dress. I took all my make up off first before unpinning my hair. I attempted to undo the back of my dress with no success at all, so I had to call Thiago. Seconds later he was in the doorway of our bedroom. He had taken off his tie and suit jacket by now.
"Can you help me with my dress please?" He nodded and came
up behind me. One by one I felt
him undo the buttons, his fingers making contact with my skin here and there. He stopped just above the waistline of my panties, I felt his hands running over the skin of my bare back towards my shoulders where he gently slipped my dress off. I let the dress fall slightly and held it just so that it covered my chest, I didn't have any plans to let him see anything tonight. Thiago had other plans though, he stepped closer to me so that he was pressed against me, he gently pried my dress out of my grip causing it to fall to the floor leaving me only wearing my white lace panties, I stepped away from my dress that had pooled around my feet.
He looked at my chest from over my shoulder as his hands went to my waist. "Bellissima" (Beautiful)
I bit my lip as he started kissing my neck whilst pulling me flush against him. "Thiago.." I turned around in his arms to look him in the eye. "Stop." He frowned at me, his grip on my waist tightening ever so slightly. "Why?" I shook my head and placed my hands on his chest. "I don't want you to do this tonight and go back to being cold and distant tomorrow. I won't forgive you for it. Ever." I looked him straight in the eye as I warned him.
Instead of saying anything he just leaned down and placed his lips on mine. His warm lips moved in sync with mine, our kiss became more and more heated as Thiago started walking towards the bed, keeping his hands on my waist. He pushed me down on the bed before getting on top of me, his eyes hungrily taking in my body.
We managed to go a few rounds that night before we were both completely drained.
Sophie's POV ~
I let the hot water of the shower soothe the pain in my body from last night. Almost everywhere was aching after the number of rounds Thiago and I did last night. I washed the soap off my body before turning off the shower. I dried off and got dressed into my shorts and tshirt in the bathroom since Thiago showered before me and was already awake.
I combed and dried my long brown hair before going into the bedroom. Thiago was dressed in his suit which is what he usually wears when he goes to 'work'. He was looking at something on his phone when I walked in, but he didn't look up at me.
"Are you going to be gone all day?" I started taking off the dirty bedsheets from last night to replace them with clean ones. Thiago didn't respond to my question and I looked at him to see he was still on his phone. "Thiago." I dropped the bedsheets and walked over to him when he finally looked at me for the first time.
"What's your problem?" He rolled his eyes and started walking to the door. "Shut up Sophie." I scoffed at this. "I'm sorry, what?" He shook his head and turned back towards me. "Fuck off." I stared at my 'husband' in shock, the way he spoke was so cold and angry like I was someone he hated.
"Thiago what the hell-" Before I could finish my sentence he groaned in frustration and cut me off. "What do you not fucking understand? I don't want to see you, I don't want to speak to you, I don't want to be near you. Fuck off puttana." ( Whore.)
I felt anger, hurt and regret hit me hard all in one go as his words registered with me. Without even thinking my hand went flying, making contact with his cheek hard.
His eyes lit up with anger, more than I had ever seen before. He started breathing heavily as I took steps away from him but he just followed me. Every time I took a step backwards he took one towards me, I felt myself fall backwards on to the bed and I tried to scramble away from Thiago but he grabbed me and pulled me towards him. I felt tears burn my eyes as he roughly ripped off my top and pulled off my shorts leaving me in my underwear. Every time I tried to push him away he pulled me back towards him roughly.
Just as his hands went to my panties his phone started ringing causing him to stop. He kept his glare on me, my fearful eyes staring back at his enraged ones. Eventually he took his phone out and answered in Italian, his eyes never leaving mine as he spoke. He ended the call and rubbed his hand over his cheek where I slapped him.
"I should have killed you when I had the chance." I glared at him feeling the fear leave and being replaced with anger. "Why didn't you? Why don't you just kill me now Thiago. I'd rather be dead than be your wife anyway." He clenched his jaw whilst we glared at each other before he suddenly turned around and left the room without another word.
Hours and hours had passed since I slapped Thiago this morning. I don't even want to think about what he would have done if his phone didn't go off at the perfect time. I kept myself busy during the day by cleaning the house and going food shopping using one of Thiago's cars which he said I should do if I ever needed to go anywhere.
"Sophie!" I jumped at the sound of my husband's voice echoing through the house. I didn't respond but eventually he found me in our room anyway folding some of the laundry on the bed. I was a proper little housewife. And I hated every second of it.
"What?" He sat down on the bed next to me. "We're going on our honeymoon. Tonight." I rose an eyebrow at him in surprise, okay I didn't expect to get that for slapping him. "Sorry what? A honeymoon? With you? No thanks." I carried on folding some of my pyjamas when he cursed under his breath in Italian.
"Why do you have to be so fucking difficult? Just do what I say." I scoffed and glared at him. "Or what Thiago? Are you going to rape me?" His eyes instantly went cold, the anger from earlier returning at my question. "I wasn't going to rape you." I let out a sarcastic laugh and nodded. "Of course you weren't." Thiago stood up and stepped towards me threateningly but this time I held my ground, I wasn't going to let him intimidate me twice in one day."Why would I want to rape you? You're my wife Sophie, if I wanted you I would get you, just like last night. And trust me, don't get carried away with the idea that I would have raped you, you've got nothing that special that would make me want to do that, you weren't that good." I looked into his amused eyes as he smirked down at me. I tried to hide the hurt that his words had caused but I'm pretty sure he knew exactly how he made me feel. "Pack your stuff, we're leaving in an hour."

I felt the plane touch the ground just as my eyes fluttered open. They took a moment to adjust to the soft light that was steaming in through the windows, I looked over at Thiago who was already getting off the plane, I quickly grabbed my handbag and followed him. He walked over to a glossy black Aston Martin taking the keys from someone who was putting our bags in the car.
I got in the car and leaned back in the comfortable leather seat looking out the window admiring the scenery as Thiago drove through the roads. There were palm trees everywhere and hills in the distance, the sun was rising behind them which was beautiful.
"Where are we Thiago?" I refused to look at him as I spoke, I probably would end up hitting him with something whilst he was driving and end up killing us both.
"Koh Samui, Thailand." I nodded whilst looking at the sea that we were driving past. Eventually we pulled up to a hotel, but Thiago didn't go to the main entrance. He drove to a separate one where some of the concierge welcomed us.
Thiago checked us into our room and we silently followed behind the guy who showed us to our room. My eyes widened when he stopped at a huge villa outside the hotel, this is probably why Thiago went to a different entrance. We entered through the front door and walked around the villa admiring it, there was a living room, massive bathroom and also our own private pool. I stopped in the bedroom and my eyes were captivated by the view. It was amazing.
I felt Thiago come up behind me and wrap his arms around my waist from behind causing me to tense up. "I'm sorry tesoro." He rested his chin on my shoulder and closed my eyes, all I wanted was a hug from someone, dealing with all this emotion wasn't something I was coping with on my own, but I was still angry at him.
I shook my head and stepped away from him, I turned to look at him trying to put my best poker face on. "I told you I would never forgive you Thiago and what you did the next morning just made it worse. I don't want to be here, I don't want to be around you." He sighed in frustration. "Please Sophie, I'm just trying to fucking make you happy." I scoffed and glared at him. "Oh shut up Thiago. You only care about yourself." His face was emotionless when I said this, I didn't know what he was thinking at all. He clenched his jaw as we stared into each other's eyes, neither of us backing down. A throat clearing in the background caused us to turn in that direction.
"Your luggage sir." Thiago nodded at the man who brought our bags in and put them in the dressing room. "Enjoy your stay." He left quietly probably sensing the tension between us. I put my handbag down and took off my adidas superstars whilst Thiago just watched my movements.
"Can I help you with something? I don't think you understood when I said I don't want to be around you. You're still here." He cracked a small smile at my comment but I definitely didn't find it amusing. "It's our honeymoon, we're meant to spend it together." I scoffed and shook my head as I sat down on the bed glaring at Thiago. "Don't say that word, I hate it."
Thiago rolled his eyes and came over to the bed sitting next to me. "You can't spend a week being angry at me." I gave him a fake smile at this. "Do you want a bet?" Thiago let out a tired groan at my comment. "Come on Sophie. Just don't hate me for one week, then when we get back to Italy you can carry on, even though I doubt you will after this holiday." He gave me a smirk and I knew exactly what he meant. "If you think I'm going to fall for you again and have sex with you then you're wrong. You'll be using your hand for the rest of our marriage if I have anything to do with it."
He laughed quietly before getting off the bed, he kneeled down in front of me between my legs and smiled a heart stopping smile at me, he probably knew I wouldn't be able to stay mad at him after that. "Please tesoro." I glared at him whilst he grinned at me. "Fine. But this doesn't mean I forgive you. I still hate you." He smiled at and stood up, he grabbed my hand and pulled me up off the bed. "I know."
