Chapter 65: Chapter 65
Chapter 64
Sofia Xanders ~
I may be human but that's not going to stop me from being there for Red... Elena. NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF THE COMMON MAN. Red has been my best friend for as long as I can remember. I'm not leaving her in a time she really needs me." "This must be what magic feels like? I can feel the tingly sensation at my fingertips. The blowing air makes everything look different. This would make for a great story." Charlie commented with the portal in front of him.
"Your turn, your Majesty." The commander reminded.
Sam's irises went vampyre blue and his physique became more built.
"Are you going to go in or do I have to go in first?" Ryan stormed still in the cup in my hands.
I walked into the portal with my eyes closed. A rush of power flowed through me as I emerged at the other end.
Sixteen years ago, I was forced by circumstances to leave my mate, my beloved home world and my people as well as everything I had there and now, here I am standing back on the same soil of my birth. I missed everything from the green grass o the ever blue sky.
I placed Ryan's cup on the grass.
"It must feel very wonderful to be back home after all these years." Gar said placing Elena softly on the grass. "Are you supposed to turn this young in age after walking through the portal or is that some kind of magical side effect?" Gar added when he noticed my altered appearance.
"It's a long explanation but to cut it short, that's supposed to happen because as a vampyre, I don't age the same way as humans. When I crossed over, I ceased to be a vampyre so I aged but now that I'm back, it's only normal that I take the form I had before I left." I explained looking all around.
"The mission??" asked the commander.
"You have no idea how much I missed this place. But now is not the time for sight-seeing. We are here now so your watch's time would be working only in human calculations. In order words, we have to get to the Royal Lycan castle." I replied the commander.
"What about Red?" Charlie asked.
I reached down to Elena and placed my hands on her chest. I conected to my inner witch and began casting a Sage Spell. Sage spells have the ability to draw out energy from nature and deposit into a vessel. In this case, I'm making Elena the vessel for the nature energy. It's an advanced and highly dangerous spell but right now, that's the only thing that can awaken Elena. The only catch is that if I don't focus the energy of the right amount in her consciousness, Elena's soul could get sucked into 'The Mirror Dimension.'
Being there is equivilant to being in coma.
I kept my focus on the spell and at the exact point in time when I was to, I removed my hand from Elena's chest and ended the spell.
"Wake up, Elena." I whispered holding her up.
As expected, she regained consciousness and opened her eyes.
"Mom?" she said slowly pulling herself off the ground in an attempt to sit up straight. "Are we..."
"We are! You did it! The vampyres brought us here. To our home." I praised helping her up but it didn't seem like she needed my help. "How do you feel?" I asked.
"I feel different. My entire body feels stronger than ever. What happened?" Elena asked dusting herself off the sand on her clothing.
"I spelled you. That's exactly how you're supposed to feel." I answered with a smile.
Elena nodded like she understood what I just said but deep down, I know she didn't get a word I just said.
"Your Highess!" All the guards bowed in my direction but this time, it wasn't to me.
It was to Elena.
"You're awake?" Commander Sam asked rhetorically shocked to see Elena as he appeared from the portal. "Good. We'll need you to be."
"So Sofia what's the plan?" Ryan asked making his way out of the cup.
"A plan? What should be your major concern should be becoming normal again. How can we help you, you know, get taller?" Charlie asked Ryan squatting to his level.
Surprisingly, Charlie could now hear Ryan's voice perfectly. If he can, them probably everyone else can as well. It's a sign that the spell casted on him is loosing strength.
"You're right. I can't fight Cassius with the body of an action figure. Killing me is one way to break whatever curse that lycan placed on me." Ryan noted looking at Charlie.
"Are you sure about doing something so insane?" Gar came into the conversation.
"I'm being serious kid. Don't be so afraid. I'm immortal."
"What exactly do we have to do?" Charlie asked with folded arms.
"A simple and quick enough death would do it. I need you to take a sword from one of the guards then with a single stroke, seperate my head from the rest of my body." Ryan instructed lying flat on the ground head upwards. "Hurry up so we can get back to rescuing Alessia."
"I shouldn't have asked." Charlie said regrettably.
"There's no need to feel bad about what he's asking you to do. Ryan isn't going to actually die." Commander Sam said giving Charlie a sword by the handle.
"Make it quick boy. We aren't in good terms with time." Ryan said getting more and more impatient.
"Well, since it's the only way."
Charlie took the sword and in a quick slice, he beheaded Ryan before our eyes.
"What now?" he asked putting down the sword irritably turning his face away from the sight of seeing Ryan's head out of his body.
"Now, you two give him some space. Regeneration flames are not so hot compared to the blaing flames of a pheonix but they have the power to make someone who doesn't undergo supernatural healing go blind by virtue of the high intensity of light they produce." Commander Sam warned picking up the sword and placing it back in its sheath.
In accordance to the commander's warning, Gar, Elena and Charlie distanced themselves from Ryan's corpse.
"Gar, Charlie, turn away, close and cover both your eyes and no matter what happens, don't turn or open them until I call it clear." I ordered when I noticed that Ryan's regeneration flames have begun rising with speed engolfing his body.
Charlie and Gar did as they were told and carefully walked backwards from Ryan. With Ryan restorted to full power, we can storm into the lycan castle, rescue Alessia and leave the castle unharmed by Cassius or his compelled lycans.
His control over the element of fire gives us the upper foot against the lycan guards. If we happen to encounter Cassius, I'll leave the commander and his skillful vampyre warriors to distract him long enough for us to get Alessia off his clutches. It's been sixteen years since I last got involved with Cassius. I know he must have gotten stronger and more heartless than before.
The flames burnt Ryan's body to ash and out of the ashes, Ryan was formed. With the same speed that the flames began regenerating Ryan, they parted till none was left. I meddled with the flames using my witch magic so Ryan could have some decent clothes one when he gets reborn.
"Perfect."
"I don't remember you being this tall." Commander Sam alleged.
"Finally. I'm big again. Thanks for the clothes Soph." Ryan said checking himself out. "Now that my powers are working fine, let's go rescue Alessia from that abomination."
"You can turn around now." Sam said to Gar and Charlie.
"Boys, you can open your eyes and turn around now. Ryan is back to normal." I added when Gar and Charlie hesistated.
"Wooaahh!!"
