Chapter 64: Chapter 64

Chapter 63

Sofia Xanders ~

"Open the barriers!" Samuel ordered with a loud voice when we had walked and are now a few paces from the statue of liberty. "Welcome, your majesty, to Blood Bank Number 20, 896.B."

The magical barrier keeping the blood bank under a cloak came down and we continued walking towards the statue.

"I heard from a very reliable source that before you brought the trybrid child into this world, you had never set foot in it." Samuel pointed out. "If not for the reason of how urgent your mission back home is, I would have loved to show you all around the coven."

"Hey, Red's mom, we have to hurry things up some more." Charlie said giving me a gentle tap on the shoulder. "We have no more than forty minutes."

"Commander, I acknowledge you generous offer but however, we really need to get to the portal so if you don't mind, skip the whole introduction and just take us to it." I said with a soft tone but at the same time, made him know that we were in a great hurry.

"Very well then, follow me!" Sam directed.

We kept on walking to the foot of the statue and we walked through it coming out through the doorway beneath it. We were in. The NewYork blood bank. For a building under the statue of liberty, this coven really looks big. I'm guessing that's owed to the witches.

As we walked along the hallway, all the individuals there suddenly turned and stared at me in a creepy-curious kind of way. As I walked, all the vampyres around stopped what they were doing and went down for a bow.

"All hail the queen! At long last, she has returned!" came a random voice from the crowd of vampyres dressed in black.

"Hail!" "All hail the queen!!" "Hail!!"

It has been so long sice I had someone bow to me so I didn't have the best feeling about it even though I'm their Queen.

"That's quite enough!" I said a little bit too harsh. "Get back to work!"

The undeniable scent of human blood filled the air. They must be preparing for a delivery to the head blood bank in the other world.

"Tell your men to..."

"My apologies, my queen but you don't need to request for a convoy. It will be an honour for I and my men to escort you on whatever mission lies ahead. Although, I do have a lot of questions. For one, what happened to the trybrid child? Why isn't she you know... conscious and who are they??" asked Sam as he walked.

"Save your questions for another time. For now, gather your best men for the mission." I stopped Sam from asking any more questions about Elena, Gar and Gar but most especially, Elena.

"What's the mission exactly? What's so urgent you are taking the risk of transporting the trybrid child in such a feeble state to the same world where Cassius recides. You don't seem like you are going back on a note of making her known to the entire world." "Your Majesty," Sam inquired still leading us with his hands behind his back.

"She's fine." "For this mission, I need your strongest and well trained vampyres. To sum the whole story up, Cassius has Alessia prisoner in his castle and threatens to put an end to her life. The only saving grace she's going to get is Elena showig up on time." I explained with a low tone.

"You aren't really intending to take her to that demon, are you?" I heard Sam ask atopping before a door.

The commander stopped right in front of a big door and placed his hand on the handle. On both sides of the door, it was guarded by two brawny vampyres in their natural form with swords in their hands possessing daring eyes.

"Your Majesty!" They both bowed.

"At ease!" I instructed making them return to their position.

"This is it!" the commander announced hand still on the handle. "This door is one of the thousands of portals to the supernatural world. The Grandwitches enchanted this one with the clux that only by my hand as the general overseer of the affiars of this blood bank can the portal open and when I remove my hand, the time range for the portal to close isn't up to a second." Sam said with an informing tone.

The portal works exactly as Frederick had told me. The aim of the whole 'contact spell' was to protect the portal from the wrong hands. Sam must have activated the mind-link after his last words because proceeding them, Vampyres, shifted to their inner nature, came marching our way. Some had a bow in hand and a casement of arrows behind their backs, some others handling silver blades and some with bow staffs.

Samuel opened the door and a bright light emanated from within. From where I stood, I could feel the magic flowing through it supplied by the world on the other side. The soldiers marched in their numbers one after the other through the portal in agreement to Sam's orders. At the very least, those vampyres should be thirty in number. For this sort of a mission, that amount should be enough.

When they had all gone through the portal, Sam turned to I and the boys giving us both a 'go-ahead' nod.

"This is it boys." "With a few steps, all that I've told you both this night concerning the supernatural would become your reality. It'll be a part of your future." I started turning to Gr and Charlie.

"There's no need for a pep talk Mrs. A. I knew what I was signing up for when I agreed to be with Elena. I need to be sure she'll always be safe." Gar emphasized. "Your Majesty, I'll see you on the other side." he added.

Gar took a deep breath, closed his eyes and walked through the portal with Elena on his arms.

"I may be human but that's not going to stop me from being there for Red... Elena. NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF THE COMMON MAN. Red has been my best friend for as long as I can remember. I'm not leaving her in a time she really needs me." "This must be what magic feels like? I can feel the tingly sensation at my fingertips. The blowing air makes everything look different. This would make for a great story." Charlie commented with the portal in front of him.

"Your turn, your Majesty." The commander reminded.

Sam's irises went vampyre blue and his physique became more built.

"Are you going to go in or do I have to go in first?" Ryan stormed still in the cup in my hands.

I walked into the portal with my eyes closed. A rush of power flowed through me as I emerged at the other end.

in the review section as it keeps me motivated and a direction to improve.

Lots of love, Ulric.
