Chapter 59: Chapter 59
Chapter 58
Elena Claw Wolfs ~
Am I truly the cause of Alessia’s pain?
The longer I stay here debating on how to get to the supernatural world, the longer her pain persists just because Cassius is using her as a pawn in his evil scheme to get to me. He probably can’t come to this world so he wants me to come to him instead.
“Don’t worry yourself too much. She’ll be fine. If we make careless and not well thought of plans, we’ll end up putting your life and even hers in a far greater risk with Cassius.” Gar assured placing his hands on my shoulder as he stood behind me.
His touch is so comforting.
“He’s right. Alessia is far stronger than Cassius knows. It’ll take more than just glass blades to break her. She loves you more than I can say and will be willing to endure it all just for you to be safe from Cassius’ claws.” Sofia confirmed with a smile.
“It’s getting very late don’t you think we should…”
“I need you guys to let me know that I can trust you both concerning everything supernatural that has happened in the past few hours. Gar and Charlie. I understand you both have your different lives with different families that care about you so if you don’t…”
“Elena, you can trust me. I’m not leaving because of anything ever again. I’ll be loyal to you for as long as you need me to. I’ll talk to my mom. I know she won’t mind me spending the winter break out of town. I have questions and I won’t find answers to them here. Until then, I can’t stay here. I’ll just be constituting danger to everyone I know.” Gar said cutting me off.
“I too. I may be human El’ but I want to help you in anyway I can. I won’t forgive myself if I abandon you at a time like this. Telling everyone back home about this would be insanely difficult without them thinking me mad but I will, if I have to. I’ll stand by you. Best-friends stick together.” Charlie said with a smile extending his hands out.
I am glad that I have friends such as these two in my lives willing to go unbelievable miles for me. They both agreed to any length, help me fulfil my destiny even if it costs them their lives in the process.
“You have great friends!” Sofia remarked with a smile. “You guys are too young for a task such as this but I guess the goddess wouldn’t have it any other way. Why else would she send you into Elena’s life?”
“What now? We have about an hour and thirty minutes to get to Cassius’ castle. Don’t think I’m going to let you face that monster alone because I’m not.” Gar pressed.
“Now, you boys have to go home and get things straight with your parents. You don’t want them thinking you’ve been kidnapped. Judging by the sirens coming from somewhere not too far off, I’ll say the police are on their way here and we don’t want to be here when they arrive.”
“Go home, have a bath, Change into something more fit for adventure. A pirate costume and a worn-out lycan costume wouldn’t do for the journey that lies ahead in the supernatural world. You’ll need proper clothing.”
My mom told me a spell to get rid of all the blood on Gar and as I casted it, all the signs of it faded like magic.
“I and Elena would go around and hopefully, with her magic, we’ll be able to locate a vampyre blood dealing base and a portal that can take us to the other world. Our home.” Sofia said scanning the piles of deceased lycans with her eyes.
“Anything wrong?” Charlie asked clearly, he too noticed her preying eyes.
“The lycans, they don’t have Ryan. Not here at least.” She answered with a hint of worry in her words. “Maybe they left him back at the house.”
“We better get going.” Charlie said when the police cars became visible heading straight for the warehouse with their flashing lights and wild sirens. “Elena… now that feels weird. Would you mind doing the honour’s?” I said Charlie say reaching his hands out to me.
I took the hint.
Charlie wants me to teleport him home. I smiled when I remember his initial mind-set towards all this at the beginning. I guess he now has a change of heart towards all he thought were my mother’s fabricated lies. I’ll have to teleport the four of us out because thanks to Gar and Charlie who barricaded the doors with piles of wood, we can’t use the logical exits.
I took Charlie’s hands in mine and thought about his front yard, picturing it as clear as it is. In a moment, we were there and I waved him off as he got in.
“Between me and you, I’ll say I’m having the most thrilling Halloween ever.” I heard him say before pushing the doorbell.
I teleported myself back and did same for Gar.
“Get ready, with Charlie. With any luck, I’ll be back let’s say in twenty minutes to take you both to another world.” I said trying my best to give Gar a dashing smile.
“I can’t wait.” That was all he said before heading with backward steps to the door returning the smile all the way.
I got myself to school and took his car back to the garage. I knew Mr. West would be furious is Gar didn’t bring it home and like I expected, when I got it back, his dad was about scolding him concerning it. I peeked through the window in his living room and saw everything. The scold was pretty much about Gar’s appearance and then, the car.
I looked at him one more time before I left and hurried back to the warehouse to meet my mother trying her best to keep herself hidden from the swarm of police cops who were using a battering ram to get the doors opened.
“Ready??” I asked Sofia extending my arms for a hug.
“I’m the one who should be asking you that considering the fact that you only began teleportation not up to an hour ago but now you’re doing it with so much ease almost like you’ve mastered the magic of space-jumping already.” Sofia said pulling me in a hug making me feel proud teleporting us both to our home.
“No way!! Why would they do such a thing?”
