Chapter 33: Chapter 33

I gave him my best puppy dog face to extinguish his anger. Huh! He was neither angry nor sad. He was just worried about me. That's all but he shows his any kind of affection in the form of anger whether it be love, guilt, or sad, that I learned on another day when we were trapped inside that wrecked buildings where he carried me in his arms just because I was so weak to walk by myself.

"It will not work." He sounds unsure. Hahaha... it affected him.

"Please... please... please.." I pouted my lips making my face more innocent than it ever would be.

"Reil. I know you are very passionate about your work but what about your health. Did you forget you have a broken leg?" He then eyed my legs which were not broken, just injured because of his careless mistake.

"And whose fault it is?" I narrowed my eyes at him even though that is not necessary but he is controlling my everything like I was a one-year-old kid who needs her full guide from her dad.

Not even in my life, my dad treated me like this... Hugh... Maybe he would but I was too young to remember that. At that time I was not a young girl, rather, I was a cute little pup.

He bit his bottom lips as he was recalling my cruel words despite the fact that my words can't be considered as cruelty as I just told him the fact.

"Why don't you go after one week? I'm sure you can able to walk a least by yourself. And---" I looked at him as to know whether he was serious or trying to crack a joke to ease my mood. But damn! He was serious.

One week!!

Seven days!!

It's not possible. I can't stay here knowing a bloody Heil attacked one of my colleagues.

"And--- I'm serious. I want you to take rest at least for a month but because of your inability friend, I let you go after a week." What? One month!! Thirty days!

"Now eat." He zipped my open mouth which I have no idea how far I was looking at him with open mouth.

"What if I say no?" I glanced at him.

"I dare you." He growled. He clenched his jaw as where his hand formed in a firm grip as he is going to punch someone's pretty face. The one who has a pretty face was me, except this handsome. And according to my knowledge, no one harms their own pretty face. So he is going to punch me?

"What?!" He kneeled in an instant when he saw my glossy eyes to check whether I was hurt but he doesn't know how badly he hurt my heart.

"It's--- it's not hurting." I shoved his hand as gentle as I could ever handle.

"Then why are you crying?" The frustrated look on his face was replaced by a pure concern.

"I thought you were rude to other people. I thought you see me differently. I thought you care for me. I thought you--" I wiped my tears and looked into his intense worry-filled gaze.

"I thought you changed for good. Yet, you treat me like others." I swallowed the lumps deep into my throat as it felt a heavy dragger stuck inside my flesh.

"Whatever you say, I care for you." He kissed both my eyes before bringing his forehead to mine. His hot breath caressed every part of my face. Somehow, it made me forget the cold moment we had a second ago.

"Okay--" He inhaled deeply before letting out a defeated sigh. "I will take you there." Wow! I didn't think it would be easy for me to convince him. Forget about my poetry, I didn't mean them. He is always my caring husband.

"With one condition." Hohoo... What it would be. Leave it. I meant all the ill poetry I described him. Go to hell... I can't wait for a week.

"We will return once you see your friend." So cute. I shouldn't have to judge him with my poetry.

"Thank you, Blake." I wrapped my hand around his neck and kissed the tip of his nose.

-----

"Girl, what happened to you?" I shook my head disbelievingly. She has a high fever running in her whole body and here she is refusing to get treatment.

"You!" She pointed her forefinger towards me, her eyes shot me a murderous glare.

"You fooled me." If it had happened any other day where she was the same stupid friend of mine, it would have scared me but today, she has no strength to let her voice out, but again, she did it horribly. Her voice came out one of the cartoon characters in Phineas and Ferb.

Maybe Candace... Mom did you see what Phineas did! Mom did you see what Ferb did! It was a huge Saturn planet, mom!! They fooled you!!!

"Hmm... I don't think today is April 1st." Emiem who has no boundaries to make her life worst blurted out.

"Arghhh!!" Natasha shut her eyes for that her left hand came to visible which was hidden under the bedsheet as she rubbed her temple to calm her nerve.

"Whoa!! What happened there?! I asked pointing my finger at her giant bandage wrapped hand.

"Haven't you heard the matter?" She roared like a wounded animal. Well... She was literally in the state of a wounded animal.

"You mean Heil attacked you in your hand while you were sleeping?" I asked furrowing my brows. First I thought she was lying to get our attention. That's why I played as cool as cucumber.

"Huh?!" She let out a mixture of defeat and a frustrated sigh.

"Two weeks ago I was happened to overhear your conversation about the device, what you named, yeah! The pen." I and Emiem exchanged a knowing look but stayed quietly to hear her blabbering words.

"I stole the pen from Emiem when she and Rakesh were making out in the parking area--" Emiem's ears turned into a shade of red out of embarrassment. I shot her a murderous glare before turn my attention back to poor Natasha.

"So you thought you can catch Heil with this device and earn fame without us, huh?!" Emiem placed both her hands on her hips.

"Unfortunately your mind didn't work when you spotted the huge monster. This explains why you were severely injured. At least thanks to Heil, he didn't kill you." Huh!!! Why she is narrating her own story. It happened to us, except the climate has a bit change.

"Shut up!" A calm Natasha, who has no energy to let her voice out, screamed out of her lungs.

"I used the device and it even created an unpleasant sound before I spotted Heil. But do you know what happened then?" Her eyes became glossy as she was recalling the incidents.

This time Emiem stayed silent, me as well. Throwing us a disgusting glare towards our direction she started to narrate her tragedies experience with Heil.

"Before I could realize he snatched the device from my hand and crushed it in his hand." Her voice croaked at the end. Poor girl. I looked at her not knowing how to comfort her.

"With his sharp nail, he slit my hand--- fortunately when he was about to get my throat he stopped in the midst and ran towards the east direction like his life depends upon something there in East." Even in this situation, she didn't fail to mock him. This girl...

"And I realized you two played with my life. You two very well aware that I was there hearing your conversation. So you masked everything, aren't you?!" This girl has a gut to blame us.

"Who told you to eardrops our conversation, huh?!" Emiem threw her a hard glare. "We were playing a rehearsal for our upcoming drama." Which drama? Badly I wanted to ask about the drama.

"And don't ask me which drama? I won't tell you. It's none of your shitty business!!" She spat angrily.

I think, in her dictionary lies have no boundaries at all. She knows she is lying but her acting was someone really stole the full copy of her script. That someone must be Natasha in her lying world. I shook my head disapprovingly.

"Come on, Reil." She dragged me out of the room where I managed to take every step carefully.

"What for that?" I asked once we came out of the room.

"She simply blamed us, Reil!" She threw her hand in the air. "She deserves this." She muttered.

"Don't you think it's your fault?" I folded my hands against my chest. For that, she gave me a guilty look. Ahh! Greenlight flashed in her mind.

"If you were careful with the device, she wouldn't have in this situation." I pointed out.

"I know. I'm sorry." She mumbled. "But she shouldn't have---" I raised my hand to stop her.

"We know about her. So drop the blame." I said no room for argument. I don't want to hurt Natasha's feelings than she already was. It's her nature, I can't change it. At least Emiem would have careful over this. What if she had lost her life in this battle? Can we get the chance to blame her even after her death?

"Sorry!" Once again she apologized for nothing.

"Leave it." I sat on the bench and gestured her to take a seat.

"At what time it happened?" I asked the fiddling Emiem who has now seemed to realize her mistake.

"Around nine, I think. She came to the cottage at ten with a bloody hand." I nodded my head as a comprehension.

"You seem happy?" I raised both my brows. She has a personal rivalry with Natasha but she can't be happy over this matter. She is our friend whether she accepts or not.

"I'm extremely happy, Reil." Her face brightened up. Wow! She is beyond happy.

"Why?! Care to share your moments." I acted like I was begging.

"It's not like I'm not going to tell you. You are the only friend I have." She threw her hand around my weak frame to form a friendly hug.

"You know what?" She looked at me like an exciting kid.

"Not until you tell me." I shrugged my shoulders.

"Geez!! Girl. Don't be dramatic." She hit my shoulder playfully.

"Who? Me!" I faked an expression as I was alarmed by her poor compliment. "What is the reason behind your extreme happiness?" I wiggled my eyebrows.

Once again she grinned at me before revealing the most tendency news ever. "Rakesh was with me when Heil attacked her." My lips formed in a great grin which almost has beat Emiem's widened grin.

"So Rakesh is not Heil." We both said in unison, excitement and relief in our voice was evidence for the happiness we felt.

"Unless Rakesh has a Twin." She grinned at me.

"Yeah! And the twin was with you when Rakesh who we assumed as Heil went out to hunt Natasha." I winked at her while she huffed playfully.

"Tell me why you were with him when I asked you to stay away from him. What by 0.01 chances he is Heil, hmmp?" I asked, my tone turned serious.

"I love him, Reil. I can't hate him even he was Heil." She gulped down. There wouldn't be a quote for unknown reasons that 'Love has no eyes. Love is blind.'

"Shhhh! He is not Heil." I hugged her. I was relieved by the news that I forgot about the poor Natasha.

"Now go and check the remaining eighteen members who were under our care. Collect the details of their whereabouts and what they did exactly around at nine." She gave me a salute before storming out of the place.

As too much happiness overloaded with our minds, we failed to discuss one important issue. The last time the device worked and Heil was hesitant to move for a nanosecond but yesterday even in that horrible sounds, Heil showed up and again--- out of the blue ran towards the east direction. The sound didn't affect him a bit? How comes it possible?

"Reil?!" A happy Blake decided to show up out of his cage. "Shall we go?" I nodded my head unsure of myself. In a swift motion, he held me in his arms, my legs were hung in the air.

"What are you doing?" I asked in a husky tone. "Anyone will see us. Let me go!" I whispered, yelled.

"I won't. You are my wife. They will understand. If not I have no problem, do we?" He looked down at me. I shook my head in a surrendering act and allowed him to carry me.

The device saved him many times than I can count and I'm one of the witnesses too when the night he went out of the church to bring the medicine. Needless to say, it saved me and Emiem's life even Heil didn't react instantly to the sound.

He is playing around us. It didn't kill Blake for some reason and it acted like it was allergic to the sound for another reason. What does that mean? He was a cunning player. I badly wanted to punch his nose.

It attacked me two times but the second time I could able to read some unspoken emotions on that monster's face as it hurt me unintentionally despite the fact that the very first day it was ready to shred my body into million pieces. Damn! He even licked my...blood...

When the third time I met the Heil, Blake was there to save my life then he introduced the pen to me. And the next time the pen saved me even though it caused a small injury on my back.

Heil was acting weird when we were around, and for another time, he was back to his hunting mood and kill people whoever crosses his path, even Natasha was not an exception. He desperately let us go for his own reasons.

Has it chose-- my inner battles were interrupted when Blake settled me down just to start his bullet.

"You okay?" He asked worriedly when he saw my state. Nodding my head I climbed on the back seat and hugged him tightly.

If Heil was behind me, does it kill Blake?
