Chapter 34: Chapter 34

One week has passed since my so-called injured leg cured completely but Blake was so adamant to accept the fact. For him, the incidents happened just a while ago, as well the wound was fresh as a Kashmiri apple.

I even run around our room to let him know I'm completely alright but that rod head was not even convinced a bit. After explaining my involvement in the project, mainly in my stable state, he literally permitted me to go to the centre.

That's how I ended up in my cabin pacing back and forth while reading the book "The Hidden Secrets" for the nth time. The memory was so fresh when Rakesh gave me this book just to get a credit but, instead, he got a heavy hit on his head.

Blake was considered as my enemy who wanted my death from Heil until I realized he wants nothing from me when he injected the yellow liquid in my butt. He proved that he has a heart beneath his rock hard chest although no people would agree with the terms. He was indeed way too harsh towards them.

"Reil." A sharp voice cut my inner space and when I turned around I froze on the spot unable to move a bit. My body shivered while my heartbeats picked a heavy race, every thud was painful and hilarious. The piercing grey eyes are not helping the situation.

"So you knew the truth, aren't you?" A man who once upon a time I considered as an innocent soul took one step towards me that immediately withdrew my step back.

"Wh-- What--?" My eyes welled with tears. I thought Rakesh's chapter was closed but he reopened the chapter just to prove I was right all the time before I gave up and closed his file.

"Now I'm going to eat you!" In a swift movement, his hands find my throat and I screamed with all my stamina until I heard his panic voice which was far away from the tone he used a second ago.

"Girl! I'm just kidding. Don't scream. You broke my eardrums." Rakesh held his hands in the air while shaking his head dramatically.

"You scared me!!" I threw my clutch on his face but the fake Heil managed to duck the hit.

"I didn't expect this output from you." He met my same anticipating tone. "I thought you would pull the 6' syringe to my chest like how you did to Heil." Still, in the surrendering position, he let his panic voice out.

"This is the reason why—why you maintained a distance from me, aren't you?" He asked the amusement has overtaken his slang.

"Idiot. Where did you get the grey eyes?" Instead of answering his question, I charged towards him and kicked his leg but unexpectedly he fell on the floor with his butt off. "You can find it in the clinic." He defended himself. For that, he earned a good kick on his legs from me.

"Ouch!" He yelled and tried to sit up but I landed on his stomach and threw some random punch on his chest until he begged me to let him go.

"You really scared me." I whispered, comfortably sitting on his stomach like I was sitting on the couch, a hard one.

"What for that?" A familiar voice sent a chill down to my already icy spine. "Blake." I whined before ran to his arms. "This man really scared me." I looked at Rakesh who was now standing up.

"What he did to you?" A furrowing Blake looked between us. "Look at his eyes?" I pointed at his shitty grey eyes.

"Dude I just--" I cut him off in his mid-sentence. "He pretended like a bloody Heil just to send my life to hell." I snapped angrily.

"You still scared of him?!" Out of the blue, Blake asked taking me off completely guard.

"Of course I do!" I admit honestly. After I figured out Heil was playing with us, a strange sensation spotted in my heart which I may name as fear. He is after us. The thought made me even be closer to Blake.

"You don't need to--" He captured my lips for a passionate kiss. How I'm supposed to tell him that Heil is after us. "I will protect you." He said sincerely once we pulled apart. Here I'm trying to protect my man where he thinks he could protect me from Heil.

His intense stare on my lips made my legs go jelly. I cleared my thoughts just to form a sentence but my angelic voice turned out into a male's voice.

"Ahphh! If you don't mind can I leave this place?" Oops! Rakesh was here to witness our mini make-out session.

"Leave!" I roared at him, turned out it became a lame whisper as my throat felt dry from the passionate kiss. Letting out a hilarious laugh, a man who set his eyes as grey walked out without caring to close the door.

"Blake!" I called his name who was very busy staring at the open door.

"Hmm." He turned to look at me.

"How did you prepare the yellow liquid?" He gave me questioning looks not getting the point why I'm asking the yellow liquid.

"Her wound is getting worse day by day. I want that liquid." He nodded his head and replied, "I will give you by the end of the day." With his professional tone. Is that really necessary?

Whatever...

----

"Go to sleep. You must be tired." Blake stroked my cheeks lovingly. His eyes raked through my naked body.

"I love you." Instead of going back to sleep, I threw his shirt on my naked frame and worked on the button immediately.

"What are you doing?" He asked confusingly.

"I need coffee." I muttered while playing with my wedding ring.

He looked at the wall clock and furrowed his perfect brows. "I know it's 2.30 am but I want my coffee." I stood up and made my way upstairs.

"Wait for 5 minutes." I heard him say before he wore his short back and made his way to the kitchen.

As expected he came with the two cups of coffee and handed me my favourite espresso before planting a feather kiss on my forehead. I flashed him a huge grin and turned my gaze towards the window where I could see the outside view of our surroundings, mostly full of trees and green scrubs.

"You are very fond of this, aren't you?" He wrapped his left hand around my waist while his chin rested on the back of my shoulder.

I shivered when his warm hand caressed the valley of my bare stomach. When did he slip his hand under my shirt? I felt a tingle knot on my abdomen which made me shiver even more. "I have this effect still on you." He smirked, his hand roamed around my waist.

Ignoring his statement I sipped my coffee and moaned when the taste hit my taste bud. He really did awesome work. "Only I can make you moan like this." He kissed my neck where I turned like a tomato.

This man has no shame!!

"Come on! It's breezing." He lifted me in his hands in a bridal style. "But I wanted to stay here for a few more seconds." I pouted my lips.

"It's already 3:30." He kissed my pout, a sudden contact made both our hormones go crazy and things got heavy that ended up in our bed.

~~~
"Good morning!" A good aroma filled my nostrils that immediately ordered all my sleeping cells to wake up.
"Morning!" I mumbled and sat on the bed. I stretched both hands up but that was considered as really a bad move because when I turned my gaze towards him, I saw a freezing Blake whose stares were particularly on the spot on my shoulder blade.
Oops!!
I pulled the bedsheet over my body and smiled sheepishly. In an instant, he was on my side, his eyes hooded with love, lust, affection. "As much as I want us to spend our time here--" He then glanced at the bedside clock and muttered, "We can't." He planted a soft kiss in the corner of my lips and revealed, "We are late for the work."
"What?!" My eyes widened like a panda when the realisation hit me like a thunderstorm. We are too late! Emiem is going to kill me. Yesterday she was in a good mood far enough to accept my excuse.
But today...
Damn Blake!!
------
I feel guilty for not telling him the truth but he left me no choice. If I tell him I'm going to the Bangalow, definitely he would deny me or accompany me, both are not my comfort zone. That's why I lied to him that I was in the parlour to colour my hair when he called me and asked where I'm.
With a trembling hand, I turned the doorknob before pushed the door open. The hot air from the window hit my face aggressively that brought instant Goosebumps to my stomach.
I had been already here twice a time but today... Weird... If Blake found the book from here means I could get, at least, a small piece that would be useful. Last time I didn't check the entire room and it was my sole fault.
Okay.....
I entered inside the building and made my way to the upstairs, my focus was to reach the room where I found the baby's portrait, my Blake's portrait. And yeah! I successfully reached here...
The room was neat as clean water as someone cleaned the room just a while ago. Is that someone would be Heil?
Nah...
That someone would be Blake. This place belongs to his parents when they were alive...for some reason...the thought doesn't sit up well in my heart.
If his dad had taken care of his pregnant wife, Blake would have a perfect family but his dad ruined everything.
"Hey, little Blake!" I waved happily while the little baby inside the portrait shot me a dragger.
I masked my face the same as the 'Urr' baby and smiled sheepishly. Such a cute baby. Why don't I take the portrait with me and framed this in our room? Hmm... Let me ask Blake. It's his decision.
'You are here to get any hint, not to adore the baby.' My inner mind reminded me of why I am here in the first place.
I switched my mind to the searching alert and went through so many books, the document which was kept inside the locker, fortunately, which was open this time.
After the few exhausting hours of hunting through so many books, my eyes landed on the particular place where I spotted a book, which looked like a diary.
Cautiously, I turned the first page and four fancy block letters caught my soul that strengthened my sore body.
~~~~HEIL~~~~

"Finally!" I kissed the book and dived a fancy step inside my mind. Blake was right when he said Dr. Volts kept a document regarding Heil and his parent's details in this building. At first, I didn't believe him but now... He was fu*king true all the time.

I turned the next page and read the sentence. "Story of my unborn baby, Heil." That's it? It's his mom's diary. I was so lucky...

I read the next sentence that sent a chill to my core. "If you get the book then consider yourself lucky because you are not far away from my son. He let you read the article." My already pale face turned into a white sheet.

Lucky! My ass!!

I jumped out of fear when my phone rang, the ringtone felt a heavy blasting inside the silent room. Goshh! It was Blake.

"B- Blake?!" I asked unsure of myself.

"Stay there. I will pick you up." How did he know I'm here. He sounds cool..

"Reil, are you there?" He asked once he didn't receive my answer.

"Yeah!! Yeah!" I breathed out.

"I'm very keen to see your hair colour." He chuckled.

Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god! He thought I'm in the parlour.

"Blake! I almost finished. I'm on the way." I rushed my words.

"Ohh!" disappointment was evident in his tone. "See you then." He cut the call.

Without sparing any second, I shoved the book inside my handbag and ran back to my Scooty...

Darn... The book will wait
