Chapter 32: Chapter 32

"I know whatever you told me on that day was a complete lie. I don't want to push your buttons but remember one thing that I'm here to listen to your heart." Blake's sudden outburst caused my heartbeat to accelerate fast.

Even though I was shivering inside I masked my face with a fake smile and said, "You must have misunderstood me." I didn't meet his gaze as I felt he was looking in my direction, his intense stare drilled a hole in the back of my head when I turned around to put my phone in the charger.

Seconds later I heard the cracking sound of a chair that gave me a clue that he has left his work whatever he was doing on his laptop just to approach my direction. "Look at me." He grabbed my hand and made me turn towards him.

"Why are you crying?" His stern voice softened as he wiped my tears. I leaned on his touch but didn't utter any words as I wanted to shut the chapter but understood that things not in my hand when I heard his next words.

"You are not acting normal for these days. Tell me, Reil. What's bothering you." He stroked my cheeks gently. Meanwhile, I tried my best not to tear in front of him but when he called my name, once again I busted into tears and sat on the floor unable to stand by any second.

"Hey! Hey! You okay?" He asked, his eyes filled with concern. His whole features softened like a baby as he was trying his best to not scaring me.

"I'm not okay, Blake. I'm not okay!!" I screamed clutching my hair out of frustrations. "I wanted to end my life." I cried. I can't kill Rakesh if he was a bloody Heil, at the same time I can't give up on Heil knowing he is a bloody monster who sucked lots of innocent blood.

"Then what about me." His baby features turned more plain as he has no idea of the situation. I literally broke his heart. "I didn't mean it." I wrapped my hands around his neck and sobbed like a kid. He stayed silent until I became sober. No words were spoken between that time period.

Sometimes silence is better medicine than violence.

He offered me a glass of water which I gladly drank with my whole heart. He took my hands and guided me to sit on the couch.

"It's okay. You don't need to tell." He stroked my hair which comforted my throbbing cells. I placed my head on his chest and enjoyed the rhythm of his steady heartbeat.

"I think Rakesh is Heil." I whispered, my voice felt strange when I said those words as I don't want to spill those bitter words to anyone but I have to in order to let out my frustrations.

His body tensed a bit but he didn't utter any words as to give me a cue to continue. I narrated to him everything as to how I injected the liquid in his chest and how I get the syringe back from Emiem.

Long story in two lines like "Tirukkural."

"You sure?" He asked. Meanwhile, he clenched and unclenched his jaw as he's controlling his emotions.

"I wish I'm wrong." I wiped my tears with my hands.

"Don't need to worry over a thing which hasn't been proved yet. Stay strong. He maybe got the syringe from the bush." He tried to point out but I shook my head abruptly and said, "Emiem saw the pink scar on his chest which would have happened by the liquid. I'm damn sure over this matter." I looked at his eyes through my blurry vision.

What was that?

I shook my head several times like a madwoman and blinked my eyes until I got a clear vision. "What's now?" He furrowed his brows.

"There were grey eyes." I pointed at his eyes but which was back to his normal pitch black.

"You must be tired. See! Now you are started to imagine for nothing." I nodded my head thoughtfully. For these days I didn't get a good sleep.

Sighing in defeat, I laid on his left side of the bed, both our hands were interlinked. It became my habit of falling asleep by holding his hands.

I snuggled deep into the crook of his neck and put my left hand over his chest but a deep frown appeared on my forehead as I jolted from my place and looked down at him. He has shut his eyes very tightly, his heartbeat was running like a motorbike whereas his body is burning like a volcano.

"Blake! Are you okay?" I shook his shoulders. He too jolted from his sleep but his features relaxed when he saw me looking down at him.

He even has red shoot eyes!

"I'm okay, Reil. Come sleep with me." He almost roared like controlling his inner beast stretching both his hands ready to take me in his open arms. Without having another thought I fell into his arms, my head landed on his chest for which he smiled and asked me to go sleep.

"But you are still burning." I can't help but ask.

"Just hold me tightly." He replied his eyes were still closed.

"Good night." I muttered before drifted off into the darkness as I was tired as hell to keep my eyes open for another second.

----

"Blake?" My hand voluntarily searched for him but he was nowhere. Even though it's very hard to open my eyes I forced my eyelashes to obey my order but met complete darkness. I switched on the light and found the place where my husband laid down has empty.

Then I looked at the clock. It read past nine. I have almost slept only for five minutes, this explains why my eyes are still burning.

"Blake?" I called his name but no response. "Blake, where are you?" I peeled the bedsheet off me before placing my feet on the cold tiles but felt the piercing pain under my feet like a sharp needle entered into my skin in one shot that made me stumble back and I fell down with my butt.

There I saw red liquid is running everywhere from my feet just ahead of the broken glass which was stained with my blood. Damn!! No wonder why I have piercing pain!

But... Broken glass?

Where did he go? What happened to him? Different types of ugly scenarios started to occupy my brain as Heil came here and hunt my man. Needless to say, the glass has broken when the cruel Heil shoved my man against the nightstand.

No... No.. No!!!! I started to panic, my burning body felt cold as ice. "Blake!" I screamed out of agony. For a second I didn't realize that I had been overreacted until I heard his voice.

If Heil killed my man, definitely it would shred my body into pieces, not that it was a saint to leave me alone while I was sleeping like a baby.  Because it has so many personal rivalries with me. Needless to say, I pierced his chest with the 6' syringe. But it was just a small tap on his chest. He was so huge. Next time I may try a 60' syringe.

"Reil... are you okay?" Running footsteps approached me. In a blink of eyes, Blake kneeled beside me and cursed loudly. He then scooped me in his arms and gently placed my limp body on the bed.

"Where did you go?" With my trembling hand, I touched his jaw that had the same burning sensation before we headed to sleep.

"I just went to the upper hall." He gritted his teeth. If I was not injured nor he hadn't been missing for a while, I would have mocked him by telling don't name that room a hall which barely have four walls.

'Why did you go there at this time?' I wanted to ask but he didn't give me time to frame the sentence.

He went to the closest and brought the first aid box. He then started to nurse my injured feet and muttered something like "I must be careful next time." But I'm not in the mind to ask.

Carefully, he applied the ointment to my injured feet. Without my knowledge a painful yelp escaped from my throat, my eyes shut automatically as it sensed the heavy pain. "Shh!! The pain will go away." He blew the small air not enough to hurt the wound.

When I open my eyes I saw his painful face which was nothing compared to mine. For a second it made me think that did he get hurt anywhere. "I'm sorry." He muttered and took me in his warm embrace.

"I shouldn't have gone there?" He kissed my hair. 'Where?' Ohh! Your upper hall! By the way, what are you doing there? Don't tell me you went there to say 'Hi' to Heil. Sighing inwardly I blocked all my inner thoughts and looked at his face.

"It's okay! Next time be careful." I eyed the bloody floor and the scattered pieces of glass. At least I'm happy that the broken piece didn't hurt him. But how in the earth the glass got to break. By chance did he break it? But he was not angry over a matter!! He acted cool as a cucumber except for the part of his body emitted heat like a volcano.

"I will." His sincerity filled words snatched me from my own thoughts. "Come. Let's sleep." He put the first aid kit aside and looked at me thoughtfully.

"I'm sleepy." I mumbled before threw my head on the soft comfy pillow.

My eyelids felt heavy as my eyes were pleading me to take a good nap. "Don't go anywhere?" I clutched his white t-shirt. Wait... hasn't he wore green pyjamas matching with mine?

"I won't." His voice held promises that made me switch to sleep.

----

"Good morning." Black orbs greeted my sore eyes which immediately ignited my decaying inner soul blossom with happiness.

"Did you sleep well?" He asked giving his best smile ever.

I nodded my head somehow I felt an itching pain on my legs which made me cringe internally. Shitt! I have a broken leg...

"Does it hurt?" He made a baby face. I gestured him to come closer to me and kissed his forehead. "I'm okay." But we both knew I'm lying.

"Sit here. I will bring the breakfast." He entered the kitchen.

A few seconds later, my phone flashed indicating someone is calling me. I attended the call without sparing the glance at the screen and said a brief Hello. But whoever on the other end has no patience as I heard loud noises from the background.

After glancing at the screen, I put the phone on loudspeaker and waited patiently for what seemed to be a complete two minutes. She may forget that she was in line, with the important person.

"Reil. Come fast. Natasha got severely injured." Emiem yelled through the phone. If she hadn't, I couldn't able to catch her voice.

"What happened to her?" I yelled back though that doesn't need from my side.

"Geez!!! Don't scream girl." She scolded but something strange things ignited from her voice that seems she is happy.

"Okay! Okay! Now tell me what happened?" I asked casually as I have no problem with her injury. She really played into my life and Karma is paying back, I thought.

"Heil attacked her, yesterday." The phone slipped out of my hand which landed on the floor with a heavy thud that got Blake's attention who just came out of the kitchen.

Shitt!! My costly phone!!

He raised his eyebrows as his gaze fell on my legs. "You okay?!" He placed the tray on the bed and collected the scattered pieces of my phone.

Thank God! It didn't break.

"Heil attacked her." I said solemnly. I don't know whether to be happy nor sad. She deserves pain but doesn't it seem too much?

I expected him to ask 'who' but see, who we are talking about. He is an unpredictable steel metal and a rod head.

"And you are not going anywhere." He zipped my mouth looking at my injured legs.

Double shit!!!
