I woke up because of the cold water that was poured on me. I was still dizzy so my condition had not yet been registered in my mind. I tried to move my hand but I couldn’t do it. My hand is tied behind my back!

I tried to shout and it was too late when I found out that my mouth was gagged so all I could do was growl.

When the cold wind touched me I rolled my eyes. With the help of the full moonlight I was sure I was in an abandoned building. There were writings and drawings on the wall where I was. The smell of urine and rotting garbage mixed around.

“Well, well, well.” A voice grabbed my attention along with its applause. The heel with each step of the person approaching my side grew louder and louder. At every step of it is the echoing of its heel in the place where I am.

This vibe is giving me shivers to my spine.

The person responsible for my abduction here was in front of me, I was not surprised how nostalgic it was.

“You’re an animal, Lele!” I shouted and was forced to break free from the shackles but I couldn’t do that. The bondage was too tight for me. Lele really made sure I couldn’t escape because my leg and waist were tied to the chair.

“Are you mad, Mina? You know what, you’re still an idiot until now? You’re still naïve so even someone like me who knows nothing but bad things and have a bad habit has still tricked you. How pathetic that you can get. ”

“Where’s Avery ?!”

“Oh? Acting like a good girl despite your situation? Gosh, you’re so pathetic! Well, my daughter is fine. What do you think? That I would kill my own child? Gosh! Don’t worry, okay? I just hit her to make her cry earlier ... ”

“You really are an animal, Lele! Are you going to do everything to bring me down so that even your child will be affected by your madness! ”

“What did you say?!”

“You’re crazy!” I shouted at her so she came to me and slapped me hard.

She was still not satisfied so she pulled me hard as if my scalp would be removed. She even slapped me repeatedly before releasing me. I thought she was done but I still received a strong kick from her causing the bench I was sitting on to get flat. I fell sideways to the floor. My elbow hit the cement so I screamed.

“That’s right, Mina! That’s it! Cry out in pain! Shout until you lose your strength! ” Her voice sounded like thunder. “I want you to suffer so that you can feel the pain I felt! You ruined my life!”

“I’m not doing anything wrong to you, Lele, and you know that!” I shouted. “You ruined your life, Lele, and not me! I didn’t do anything to make you suffer! You were just not satisfied with what you have! ”

I got a kick in my face so I shouted again.

“What did you say?! You’re too brave to answer me! Do you want me to kill you right now? ”

I did not speak. I don’t want to trigger her madness. I don’t want to die yet. I still have parents I need to take care of. I still have a child waiting for me.

I thought of Adrian. He’s my adopted child, but because of the opportunity that came to me it was Tricia who took care of him since Adrian has health problems. Adrian and Seth were my light during the times I was in the lowest part of my life.

I will fight to get out of here alive.

But the courage I had gathered suddenly disappeared when I heard the gunshot. I looked at Lele and with the help of the moonlight I saw in her eyes the madness. I intervened.

I thought of Seth. Why didn’t I even tell him I loved him? Is it all too late for the two of us?

“I want to shoot you in the head, but I don’t want to because quick death is not enough for you, Mina! You should be tortured first! ”

After she said that thing, she grabbed my hair and she dragged me so the pain drew on my skin with each rubbing of the rough cement on my skin. But I endured all that because what she was doing loosened the bonds in my body.

Until I heard the cracking of the broken wood and at the same time the continuous loosening of the rope in my hand. She didn’t notice that so I had a chance to untie myself. I grabbed hee hand holding my hair and pulled her hand hard causing her to lose balance.

I used that opportunity and wrestled with her. I twisted hee hand holding the gun so she immediately released it. I kicked the gun away and reached for her hair and punched her hard against the wall near us. She was caught in the forehead as she hit the wall so I had a chance to kick her in the abdomen.

At the same time as shee grunted, she fell on her knees.

I started running. The only thing on my mind was to get out of this place.

But what I did is a biggest mistake!

I stopped moving when a gunshot rang out along with the cold object that entered my body. I held my back. Another shot rang out and hit my left thigh causing me to fall.

“I won’t let you get away, Mina!” She shouted loudly and before I could stand myself up ahe held my hair again. She violently built me up. She pointed the gun at me so my tears flowed out of despair. “Did you know that I even practiced how to use a gun for a time like this? I was planning to visit you in California just to kill you but you are already here, eh, so less effort. ”

“W-why a-are you d-doing this to me, Lele?” my weak question. I feel like I have run out of courage because of the gun pointed at my head. Add to that the fact that my eyesight is spinning and I’m dizzy.

“You ruined my life! All the attention of the people I used to have was gone when you came into my life! Tito Yvo’s attention! Tranz’s attention! You don’t deserve their affection, Mina! ” she shouted as if she was going crazy. She face me to hse. One of her hand was holding my neck and hee other hand was holding a gun pointed at me.

“Why did you get the attention of the father and son so quickly, huh ?! I want you to die, Mina, so that I don’t have a rival for Tranz! ”

“I don’t love Tranz anymore, Lele, believe me. Seth is the one I love— ”I was shocked because at the entrance I saw Tranz but Lele didn’t seem to notice it because I had her attention. And she’s facing against Tranz’s side.

Tranz was stunned for a moment. Tranz motioned his hand as if to tell me not to reveal that I saw him.

“I don’t believe you, Mina! You’re flirty, eh! You are simply flirty! It’s just that all the guys are having their affection upon you! I don’t even know how you tame Tito Yvo so easily, when he wasn’t close to me then! But I got him big time, Mina. I got my revenge on him! ” Lele laughed so my body hair rose.

I was stunned by what she said. Even Tranz also stopped walking.

What does she mean?

“I have a secret to tell you. I will tell you because you are about to die and you will not be able to report any more. Do you know that I killed Tito Yvo? ” My eyes widened as I looked at her.

“ It was just an accident. My vision darkened because he was so inquisitive. If he hadn’t just come to our house the night Tranz and I argued, he would still be alive today. I cried out of pity for Daddy Yvo. The truth is he became my second father. He loved me as if he were my real father despite the state of life which I came from. My heart is aching for him. Daddy Yvo doesn’t deserve that kind of death.

When the moon shone and the cloud barrier disappeared I saw Tranz’s dark face. He is getting closer to us. He was only a few steps away from us so I caught Lele’s attention even more.

“D-does T-Tranz know what you did?”

Lele smiled. “No and he will never know that—”

“Now I know, Lele, so you will pay for everything you did! You and your mother! ” Tranz shouted loudly and quickly snatched the gun from Lele.

But Lele didn’t know the word defeat so she fought with Tranz. Despite Tranz’s strength, he was not able to snatch the gun from Lele immediately.

Two gunshots rang out around in conjunction with the police patrol siren.

Despite the weakness I am feeling, I approached Tranz. I was close to him when I fell and he immediately caught me.

“It’s okay, Love. You’re safe now ... ”he told me and laid me on his arm. I even looked at Lele’s lifeless body before we walked away from the girl’s body.

Despite my situation I was unable to close my eyes. What happened was too much for me to handle. I feel like I’m going crazy.

“H-how did you k-know t-that I’m here?”

“It’s Avery. She called me and said Lele was hurting her. And Seth called me. He was looking for you and there, I was nervous. I have traced your cell phone. I called Seth before coming here. He’s worried sick. ”

“I’m s-sorry for what happened t-to your father, Tranz ...”

My heart is aching for him. I can’t stop crying because I feel sorry for Tranz, because despite what Tranz did to me, I can’t deny that he helped us during times when we had nowhere to go.

“Mina!” voice echoed when we get out. It was Seth. “Thank you ...” Seth said to Tranz and tapped him on the shoulder.

“I think this is goodbye for us, Love ... I’m sorry f-for all the wrong things that I’ve done to you. Forever, I will regret not trusting you. Because of my negligence, I lost you. ”

Tranz’s voice was full of sadness and pain. I hugged him and kissed him on the lips before I lifted Seth.

I cried as Seth and I walked away from Tranz. I thought tonight’s catastrophy was over but I was wrong. Because except for the siren of the patrol car, three gunshots rang out.

“Tranz !!!” I shouted when I looked back where Tita Mercedes pointed her gun.
