Chapter 76: Chapter 76
Chapter 76? Getting Rid Of The Witch
PAMELA'S POV
For the next couple of days, I kept a close eye on Maia. I was keen on proving to Lucius that she was a witch and maybe she was the one who cursed him
When I saw Lucius back to his normal self again after just 5 days, I was shocked.
'How did that happen? Something smells fishy,' I said to Ella.
'I told you. She is a witch,' she replied.
I left my room and was about to go to Lucius' office when I saw Maia carrying a food tray.
"Is that where you put the potions? You mix it in his food so that he will think that you are his mate?" I spat.
She looked at me as if I was some alien and then rolled her eyes.
'How dare she! She had the guts to roll her fucking eyes on me?' I exclaimed in my head.
'Let's just end her right now. Then we'll tell Lucius that it was self defense. No one will ever know. This is our chance, Pamela. It's now or never,' Ella suggested.
'Ella, are you listening to yourself right now? If she is really a witch, do you think we can just easily kill her? Are you trying to get us killed?' I yelled at her.
She kept quiet after realizing that what I said was right.
Just as when Maia was about to exit the elevator, I warned her.
"Make sure to watch your back because I am going to uncover all your secrets and prove to Lucius that you are not his mate. Your days are counted, Maia."
She simply looked at me and then left.
That bitch really had the nerve to just ignore me! Ugh!
I went straight to the library and searched for books about witches. I need to find out how to weaken a witch so I can easily kill her.
I spent the entire afternoon reading about witches, their gifts, their weaknesses, and their potential strengths.
"Bingo!" I said to myself.
'Did you find something?' Ella asked.
'I found the key component to her weakness. Something so simple and easy to find - iron,' I replied.
'What will it do to her?' Ella asked.
'If a witch touches iron, that part of the witch's body burns. Just like how vampires burn under the sun. If a witch is tied with iron or surrounded by iron, they won't be able to use their magic. Hence, can't cast any spell,' I explained.
'That is brilliant. All we need is to get her into a room full of iron and her head will be ours,' Ella replied.
'Easy there, Ella. We need to watch her first and wait for the perfect timing. For now, we must prepare my room with as much iron as possible,' I said.
I busied myself with getting as much iron as possible without Neal or Lucius finding out about it.
A week has passed, and I barely saw Lucius or Maia. So, I went to Lucius' office to check it out myself.
"I am sorry, Lady Pamela. The King Alpha is busy as of the moment. Please come back later in the afternoon," the guard said, stopping me from entering.
"In a meeting? With who? I doubt he is even at a meeting right now. Either you are lying or a certain someone is in there and I will find out about it one way or another. If any of you dare to touch me, I will see to it that you will spend the rest of your days in a cell," I threatened them before pushing my way to the door.
The moment I opened the door, two pairs of eyes were staring at me like a deer caught in the middle of the road.
"A meeting, huh? Is this what you call a meeting now, Lucius? Flirting with a witch?" I asked, glaring at Maia.
"What are you doing here, Pamela? And who are you calling a witch?" Lucius asked.?
"Well, I have been looking for you for the past 2 weeks. I wanted to check on how you were doing after your shift, but a certain someone was keeping me away from you," I replied.
"Thank you for your concern, but I am okay. I was very well taken care of," he said, looking at that witch with a smile on his face.
It took all my willpower not to claw at that bitch right there and then.
"You did not answer my question, though. Who are you calling the witch?" He asked, staring at me.
"Can I talk to you in private, Lucius?" I asked.
"Whatever you would like to talk to me about, you can tell me. I trust Maia," he said with that annoying, stupid smile on his face again.
I looked at him with a confused look. I couldn't believe he just said that.
"So, what did you want to talk about?" He asked, pulling me out of my trance.
"Actually, it's not that important. I can take care of it," I replied.
I spun around and left before he could see the tears forming in my eyes. I hurried off to the elevator and waited until I was already inside before letting out the breath that I did not know I was holding.
As soon as I was inside my room, my tears fell almost instantly.
'I need to prove that she is a witch before it gets too out of hand. I won't let her take what is mine!' I exclaimed in my head.
'If you have only allowed me to rip her into pieces in the elevator, you wouldn't be having this problem right now,' Ella scoffed.
``We will not have blood on our hands, Ella. No matter how much we hate her. We can't,' I said.
I stayed up all night thinking of a plan on how to get rid of Maia as soon as possible.

THIRD PERSON'S POV
"How long do we have to wait?" The man asked.
"Patience, dear. Everything will work out in the perfect timing," the woman replied.
