Chapter 106: Chapter 106
Chapter 106 Blessings
MAIA'S POV
*5 months later*
"Are you okay, Queen Luna? Is there something wrong?" Emily asked, running over inside the bathroom.
She held my hair as I threw up the single bite of pancake that I had eaten.
"I don't know, Emily. All I had was a small bite of pancake. There is nothing else that I ate." I replied.
"Do you have any fever?" She asked while touching my forehead.
When I was sure I was done with emptying my guts, I headed over to the sink and rinsed my mouth.
I walked over to the table where my food was placed. As soon as I saw it, I felt bile rise to my throat.
"Please take this, Emily," I said, pushing the plate of pancakes away from me.
"But you barely touched your food, Queen Luna. Is there anything you would like to have instead? Eggs? Toast? Sandwich?" She asked.
"It's okay, Emily. I will just finish my tea." I replied.
"You have a long day today, Queen Luna. I would highly suggest you eat something before we head to the pack house." She insisted.
"Don't worry, Emily. I will be fine. I will grab some snacks on the way." I assured her.
She looked at me for a couple of seconds before taking the plate from the table. She took and packed them in case I would get hungry later.
After finishing my tea, I prepared for my meeting and inspection at the pack house.
As soon as we arrived at the pack house, Emily insisted that I should eat some fruits that she had packed for me.
"Seriously, Emily. You did not have to." I gushed, taking the container of cut fruits.
"Please, have a seat and eat these fruits before you start your inspection at the school." She said.
I looked at her and slightly shook my head. Ever since I met Emily, she had become close to me and deeply cared for me like a sister.
"Alright. I am going to eat these so you will stop worrying about me." I said.
She opened the containers and took out a fork from the picnic bag she had brought.
I sat down and started munching on the fruits while waiting for the teachers.

A couple of minutes later, the school teachers arrived.
"Good Morning, Queen Luna. We are sorry to keep you waiting." One of the teachers greeted as she apologized.
"No, you guys are not late. I arrived early. Please have a seat." I replied.
They all took a seat around the table while Emily took the empty container of fruits.
"So, how's the school? Is there anything that needs immediate attention? Are the kids learning well? Any kids showing any sort of trauma or depression?" I questioned them.
"The kids are doing well, Queen Luna. I think that they have all healed up from all the traumas from the war. The happiness and the energy within them have returned. But they do have a special request, Queen Luna." The head teacher replied.
"I see. What is their request?" I asked.
"The kids are missing you, and they are requesting for you to visit whenever you are free." She explained.
"Oh, poor kids. Please tell them that I will visit as soon as I finish everything I have to do. Let them know that I also miss them." I said.
We spent the next 2 hours talking about the future plans for the school. It was my job as Queen Luna to ensure that the education of the young wolves was up to the standard.
When I was done, Emily and I headed to the hospital to check for the progress of the new children's ward that they were building.
"Hi, Doctor. How are things in the hospital? Any updates on the patients?" I asked.
"Queen Luna. Yes, I have some wonderful news about a couple of patients. Most of them are really doing well, and the improvement has been amazing. In a couple of days, I will be able to discharge two more patients." She replied.
"Really? That is really wonderful, Doctor." I said.
She suddenly stared at me as if she was doing some calculations.
"Is there something wrong, Doctor?" I asked.
"I should be asking you that, Queen Luna. Are you feeling alright? Is there something wrong with you? You look pale." She replied.
"Excuse me, Doctor, but Queen Luna has not been feeling really well the past couple of days. She had occasionally been vomiting, and she also did this morning after getting a bite of pancake." Emily interrupted.
"Oh... You are not food poisoned, right?" The doctor asked.
"I am fine. Maybe a little fatigue. You know how it is these days. We are all busy with a lot of paperwork." I answered.
"Please allow me to do a quick check-up on you, Queen Luna. I do not want to keep worrying that I might have missed something." The doctor suggested.
"Okay. If that will make everyone better and happy, then I will do it." I replied.
The doctor led me to an empty room, and a nurse came in a couple of seconds later. She came back with a needle and drew out some blood for a blood test.
Before we started on any medications, she ran some tests first on the blood she extracted. After half an hour of waiting, the doctor returned with the results.
"Queen Luna. I must congratulate you." The doctor said.
I looked at them and gave a questioning look. I had no idea why the doctor congratulated me.
"Congratulations for what? What are you trying to say?" I was puzzled.
"You are pregnant, Queen Luna. You are 6 weeks pregnant. Congratulations!" The doctor said, confirming my pregnancy.
I could not believe what I heard. I wanted to have a baby for a long time, and I wanted to become a mother.
Tears formed in my eyes as overflowing emotions filled my heart. Was it true? Am I really having a baby?
"Really? I am going to be a mother?" I shockingly asked, trying so hard not to cry.
"You are, Queen Luna. Your prayers have been finally answered. I am so happy for you and the King Alpha." Emily replied.
I could not contain my happiness anymore and hugged Emily.
"Oh, Emily! I am going to be a mother!" I exclaimed.

We went back to the palace earlier than expected to tell Lucius about the wonderful news―the news that I had been waiting for so long.
Without even putting much thought into it, I ran to his office and barged in.
"Maia, are you alright? Why are you crying?" He was surprised by my presence and ran over to my side.
Even Neal, who was sitting by the couch, stood up and was alarmed.
"I... I have... I have incredible news, Lucius!" I stuttered as I exclaimed.
"Alright. Please calm down. What is it?" He asked.
"Hmmm... You are going to be a father." I said.
It took him a couple of seconds before it dawned on him.
"Really? Am I going to be a father? You are pregnant?" He asked. He looked from my belly to my face, reassuring me that I was pregnant.
I nodded my head excitedly and smiled at him.
"Yes, love. I am pregnant." I reassured him.
