Chapter 32: Chapter 32

I started writing a diary. Mainly because I feel the urge to and also because I would like my children… if I get any to read it and laugh at their ma.

Hmm, they would probably be too scared to laugh at me.

Today… well, tonight, I am going to do the unthinkable. I’ll find a way to contact my sister and also escape this hellhole-

Finally, I am getting out of here.

Today will be good to record in my books.

“Okay, my drawing just needs a few more ink. Yes, he looks more like the devil now,” I stroke the paper containing my dodo, softly.

“My beautiful creature.”

In this mission of mine- that is likely going to happen now- in the night- I didn’t tell a word to Gwendolyn, not a sound. I haven’t seen her since my change.

I pack my hair up tightly and stuff my diary in to my bag, I stole from here.

Inside are are few clothes and jewellery.

A part of me wants to shrink the whole room in to a box and take it with me, but I am not that greedy.

The hallway is as dim as it can get so I turn on my torch light and walk in to their room, after opening the door slowly and very softly.

A few months ago, seeing them laying together, under the sheets of the same bed irked me but now I have nothing to worry about, nothing to be angry about either.

I start checking in the drawers, on the nightstand and I see not even a glimpse of what I am searching for.

Not even in the shoe racks.

I begin to think of where he would hide it and then, I retort to check under the pillow.

What an usual spot to hide something.

“Bingo!!”

In response to my over-excited exclaim, Sebastian steers.

I totally forgot about the wolf king being extremely alert, even when asleep.

I point my torchlight downwards and move along with my senses.

I have found the enchanted mirror but it takes a few more minutes to find the bracelet, before I rush out of the room in silence.

The only secure place I can think of is my room, so I go there and find myself tapping the wild thing to work- I mean the enchanted item.

“Hello, hello?”

It blurs as it zooms in and out, making me raise it up in the air.

“Maybe it needs connections?”

A face suddenly appears in it and I end up jumping back like a scared cat.

It drops like a stone on the ground and I grimace.

“Hopefully, no one will wake up..” I mutter under my breath.

“Minerva?” I pick it up slowly and see my sister through the cracked screen, “Minerva, I have been trying to reach you through Sebastian for a while now.”

Sebastian once threaten to do very bad things to some people if I tell her, but… that was in the past, this is the future.

“The guy got a couple of loose screws.”

Her little cute face furrows at my choice of words as her mate joins in the mirror.

“What do you mean?”

“i have a few things to tell. It’s really nothing much,” I shrug, “That is, if I minus the part that Sebastian locked me up in jail with a silver on my ankle, he electrocutes me anytime I try to leave the castle. He mated with someone else and then marked the both of us through some strange way.”

I continue, “He made almost everyone here forget about me. He raped me and stupidly thinks I will agree to have his children after everything that has happen.”

Two pairs of eyes blink at me.

“What?” My sister shakes her head, “He raped you?”

“I believe that I said that very clearly,” I squint my eyes at the mirror.

“You also mentioned something about being electrocuted and having a mark in some sort of way?”

I want to roll my eyes as her mate finish his speech, “What’s your name again?”

“You can call him Cypru-”

I cut my sister off immediately I remember. I hold up the bracelet in one hand, “This little thing right here will make me leave this place without actually dying from being shocked and…”

I pull my collar to the side, revealing my neck, “This is the mark. He did some pretty weird things to me so when he marked the bitch, he also marked me too.”

“Are you sure that-”

“You are a fey,” It’s now Cyprus’s turn to cut my sister off as he stares at me with narrowed eyes, “Your glamour skills aren’t as strong as mine.”

“You mean my voodoo skills,” I muse.

“How are you a fey and a werewolf?” My sister appears as confused as her mate.

“I am a hybrid. Isn’t that cool?” I giggle all of a sudden, filled with shocking excitement.

They share a quick glance and then they are staring back at me.

“That’s impossible, unless you were made a fey by a fey, or the simple truth came from the nature of my parents because look at me,” I am sure she gestures to herself, “I am a fey. There was a thing when I questioned how we are related.”

When she is done running through the words, I stare blankly at her.

“I didn’t get a damn word you said. Just know that I’ll find a way to come to your place.”

I adjust the mirror on the bed, placing it on the pillow to face me as I stuff the remaining items in to my bag.

“We can’t. Sebastian- that sleaze- would have probably prepared for this outcome and he might have made sure that there is no way we can come in to his castle or pack with little ole magic, so we are riding over in a carriage,” She explains, “Don’t be surprised, but we are coming your way. We had helped from someone who told us that you are in trouble.”

I zip up the black bag and proceed to wear the chain, on my wrist.

“No one outside this castle, except Estella knows about this, but how could she be able to contact you.”

“It wasn’t this Estella you speak of,” She says, “It was Angel Writes.”

I freeze, “My brain just exploded in to million mini brains. How did you meet her, tell me!”

My eyes shift away from the mirror when I hear footsteps and my mind blanks, only for a second.

“Shush!”

With that being said, I quickly push the bag under my bed, place the mirror under my pillow and lay under the covers, pretending to sleep.

The footsteps stop in front of my door and it immediately opens, but I don’t move or do I try to open my eyes.

It’s him.

I can sense it, so I reach out to my magic softly and make my breath even, as if I am asleep.

He lingers on the spot, his eyes accessing me for a moment. They skim through my body hidden by the covers. I don’t know if he has the urge to lay with me but I almost breathe out in relief when he closes the door and walks away, his footsteps echo until he is gone.

“That was very unusual and cute. He came to check up on you,” My sister smiles when I pull out the mirror and I roll my eyes.

“Haven’t you been listening to a word I have been saying? The bastard raped me and threw me in to a cell. How is that cute!” I exclaim, “And how are you taking what I have been saying calmly?”

“Why do you take this with two percent of seriousness?” She asks instead and even though I don’t get what she said, I understand a bit and so I shrug.

“I don’t know.”

“We are feys, Minerva. The way we take in situations is a different pattern all together,” She explains, “I bet that wolf side is the one who brought out this part of you, just because it couldn’t handle what was going on.”

“I think you are correct, Lyn-”

She cuts me in before I can finish, “I go by Asteria now, remember?”

“And why is that?” I blink at her.

“Because… that is my real name. My parents- our parents gave me that name.”

“Okay, I am confused now. How did you possibly know that?” I squint my eyes at her.

“Angel Writes told me,” She replies cheerfully.

“Angel Writes told you,” I repeat her words with zero understanding and she sighs.

At a point, my eyes drift to her mate who is definitely listening to our conversation. I watch his lips turn upwards slowly but when he catches me staring, it’s gone faster than it came.

He immediately goes out of my sight, completely out of the view of the mirror.

“That doesn’t matter now. I’ll explain it later for now, find a way to get out of there before he finds out,” She says, “I will put a tracking spell on the mirror, it will be activated immediately this call is cut.”

“Why will the call be cut,” My mouth just blurts out, “Wait, is this called a call?”

She doesn’t reply to a question I ask.

“Stay safe and secured, and please don’t do anything stupid.”

The last thing I get is a warning look from her before the mirror thingy turns black.

“Oh that’s what she meant by ‘cut’.” I pout, putting the mirror in to the bag.

I make sure that the bracelet is safely situated on my wrist and then, I head out, just like a ninja.

My sixth senses are open on the psycho but when I don’t see him in the halls, I proceed with my running away plan.

All of a sudden, I stop.

The guilt fills me as I pause close to Gwen’s door and I almost groan.

“Why can’t I just be emotionless again.”

With a huff, I slowly open her door and walk in. She sleeps quietly with her wild red hair spread carelessly on her pillow.

“Aww!”

With a smile, I walk to her and make a silent spell before I slap her awake, rather very hardly.

“You don’t sleep like a princess.”

Immediately she opens her eyes, her mouth opens too as she screams… very silent screams.

She sits up and her eyes widen in panic as she holds her throat and I roll my eyes.

“Just don’t scream, I am trying to escape here.”

I snap my fingers and immediately, I hear her heavy pants.

“What is wro-”

I close her mouth with my palm and shush her before I pull away my hand, when I am sure she won’t talk loudly.

“You’re trying to escape?” She whispers, “But you can get killed by shocks. Do you really want to go down that wa-”

“I am with my bracelet, Gwen and right now, I am putting my life on it.”

“You’re putting your life on a little thing? Is it even working?”

I ignore her questions, “My sister is coming to get me. I just had contact with her a few minutes ago. I just wanted to inform you that I am leaving. You know, so you won’t wonder where I’ve gone to.”

“I am wondering where you are going to, right now,” she deadpans.

“You are not supposed to know,” I shake my head, “Just stay safe and secured, and please don’t do anything stupid,” I repeat my sister’s exact words.

“When have I ever done something stupid.”

I exhale heavily and cast her a brief smile, “Just stay safe, and don’t say a word about me. I was never here. The alpha command can’t work on you right?”

“No, it can’t,” She puts on a thoughtful expression, “is anything wrong?”

“Your brother won’t try to threaten you so we’re good,” I squint my eyes at her, “I think…”

“Why don’t you stay for today. We can still hide you, we ca-”

“Tell Greyson, Paul and Estella that I wish them good luck and when I am gone for over a month, help Greyson escape.”

“What about the mark on your neck. He can track you through that,” She worries.

“Don’t bother about that, I got it covered. Magic is on my side for this one,” I smile as she nods slowly.

“I’ll miss you.”

The smile remains on my face as I pull the door open but my mind tells me to stop and turn around.

“I’ll miss you too, Gwen.” She smiles back at me and I walk out; out of the room and I intend on also walking out of this place.

The security isn’t as tight as before, if anything, it is less than it has ever been.

Now that’s strange.

I pull back when I see two males walk past my spot, discussing something serious- as it looks.

When they are gone, I walk out of my hiding spot and that’s when I see the big gate, the place free from any security.

I take my leap, a crazy leap of faith.

Seriously, I push myself in to a sprint and when I get a tad closer to the gate, I push myself up with my magic.

It takes me over the top of the gates and I land outside, on my feet.

There is no scratch, neither are there shocks trying to kill me.

“It worked,” I jump and kiss the bracelet, before rushing over to the city. I have finally left the high walls behind.

The prison I once lived in fades behind me as I run away but even with this, I have no where to go.

The first person that pops in to my head is Estella.

So it is settled, I go to Estella’s home and truly find a way out of here.
