CLAIRE WAS restless. She’s been thinking too much about the man in a cap and she even dreamt of him! Today, she decided that it would be better if she would inform Blaire about it.
But Blaire was surely in JBC Corporation headquarters at this time. She was about to look for Nana Amy when she heard some voices from the family room.
She decided to go there. She saw Nana Amy, Zack, Rose and Maria so focused on the TV screen, so focused that they did not even notice her.
When she checked why they were so focused on the screen, she was surprised to see Blaire’s face on the TV screen!
Based on the screen it was a live coverage. The reporter was outside the JBC Corporation headquarters. And there were so many people in the background.
“JBC Corporation launches its first ever food fair festival and everything is free!” Said the reporter in an energetic tone.
The camera roamed around and showed different stalls with different kinds of food to offer in the said food fair festival.
“And of course we have here the ever handsome young CEO of JBC Corporation, Mr. John Blaire Castillejo II. Hello Mr. Castillejo.” The reporter introduced Blaire.
Then the camera focused on Blaire’s handsome face. Then Blaire flashed a smile that would make every woman die just to see that in person.
“Yeah a woman like you!” Said that small voice in her mind.
“Daddy!” Zack exclaimed.
“Why so handsome Sir Blaire?” Said Rose.
Nana Amy and Maria laughed. They were still not aware of her presence.
“Hello Steve and to all the viewers.” Blaire replied to the reporter.
The reporter asked so many questions to Blaire regarding the said food fair festival. And Claire was so focused on looking at his telegenic face on the TV screen. This was her chance to stare at his handsome face for a long time without being embarrassed, because Blaire cannot see her.
The camera once again roamed around the food fair and she shivered in fear when she saw again that man among the people there in the food fair. The man in a cap!
What was he doing there? Then she thought of Blaire. What if this man is up to something and she was not able to give Blaire a warning? Just thinking about it sends some chill to her body already.
She did not think twice, she immediately went out. She did not even bother to say a word from the people watching Blaire on the TV. She drove towards JBC Corporation headquarters. She needs to be there as soon as possible! She needs to inform Blaire right away!
If something will happen to Blaire, there’s no one to blame but her. She should have informed him about that man yesterday.
She was able to reach JBC Corporation headquarters and since there was an event going on, there’s a lot of people there.
She searched for Blaire but she had no luck finding him. As much as possible, she wants to be discreet. She does not have any idea how popular Blaire’s wife is to the media.
She decided to approach a passer-by. A lady more or less in her early 50s.
“Hi, did you happen to see the CEO of the JBC Corporation?” She asked.
“Oh! The handsome Blaire! You just missed him. I think he went inside his office already.” Said the lady with romantic excitement.
Even ladies in their 50s are not immune to the CEO’s syndrome!
“Thanks.” She uttered and was about to walk towards the lobby of the building when the lady stopped her.
“Oh! You look like his wife but no, you are far more beautiful. His wife is full of make-up whenever she appears on society pages. You are plain and simple. But being simple is better.” The lady said and smiled at her.
She smiled timidly and nodded her head gently before she turned her back from the lady.
“Hello, where is the office of Mr. Castillejo II?” She asked the receptionist when she reached the lobby of the building.
“Do you have an appointment ma’am?” The receptionist asked politely.
“I’m afraid, I don’t have any.” She said honestly.
“I’m sorry ma’am, but you need to get an appointment first.” The receptionist stated.
Yes of course, she’s already expecting that. And how frustrating this can be? She is the so-called wife of the CEO, who technically owns this whole building but she doesn't even know what floor his office is located on and worst, she doesn't even have his personal mobile number!
Great! So much for his so-called wife.
“Can you at least try to call him and tell him my name please. This is just really important.” She pleaded.
“Ma’am, I hate to say this but all the people who wants to talk to Mr. Castillejo is saying the same thing. I am so sorry.” The receptionist was still polite while saying that.
She can’t blame her. Of course, this is their protocol, after all she was not asking for an ordinary employee, she was asking for the CEO!
She tried to look around the lobby hoping that Blaire would just pop up there any moment but after a few minutes there was no sign of him.
She was about to go back to the front desk and talk again to the receptionist, when someone shouted.
“Look! The wife of Mr. John Blaire Castillejo II!” Shouted a man with a camera and pointed his finger to her.
And just like that. She was surrounded by lots of reporters with their cameras flashing and all of them were throwing her different questions.
“Mrs. Castillejo, how are you? You’ve been missing in the society pages these past few days.”
“Mrs. Castillejo, why do you suddenly have this simple look?”
“Is it true that you were grounded by the CEO, your husband to be exact?”
“Are you trying to hide now?”
“Is it true that you want to run away from your husband?”
Oh! Gracious heaven! She does not have any idea that Blaire’s wife was so famous to the reporters.
She does not really know what to say and she was really surprised by this kind of attention from the media. She was getting dizzy because of these people surrounding her and trying to get some answers from her.
She’s not used to this kind of world. She actually hates public attention. And when she’s about to faint she heard that very familiar masculine voice and from then she knew that her knight in shining armour came.
“Who gave you permission to harass my wife?!”
