Chapter 73: Chapter 73
Beta Adam led them towards the hallway that led to the dining room while Sebastian sat back down beside me. My mate gestured towards Connor's previous empty seat beside Jared, "Take a seat."
Leo stepped towards the two sitter and sat down beside Jared who was watching him along with all of us. We knew what Sebastian wanted to talk to him about and I wasn't sure if he would take it well. I didn't take it well when Sebastian told me, but then, it was my mate that was in the Mafia and the Mafia Boss. For Leo and his pack, they were being initiated in.
I was someone very innocent and they have been exposed to more than I have, so they would probably react better than me. Leo looked at Sebastian, nervously, "What is this about?"
Sebastian looked at him with a stern look on his face and he looked so intimidating, especially with his tattoos displaying on his muscular arms up to the back of his hands and moving up to his neck. His gorgeous dark eyes added to the mix, "Well, you need to know a very important detail about our pack. It is something that many would find difficult to accept and we need to know if you're in or not before it's too late."
Leo looked a bit scared and nervous. He closed his hands into fists on his lap out of anxiety as he breathed out, "Okay, what is it?"
Sebastian straightened up and crossed his arms against his chest. He glanced at all of us before moving his gaze back to him, "We're not only a pack, but we're also a Mafia group. We don't do illegal stuffs, barely, but we fight other gangs and live our lives on the edge. There are other packs like that, some are under me as the Alpha Mafia Boss while others rebel. So are you and your pack members still willing to be part of this pack? If you're not, we can hook you up with other packs that aren't in the Mafia."
As the information sank into Leo, his face turned pale as fear showed on his face, but then hope also made an appearance. He let out a breath and ran a hand through his hair. He let his hand drop back down to his lap as he moved his gaze back to Sebastian, "I- I don't even know what to say. You have been more than generous to us and without getting anything in return.
"It's hard to believe that you're some evil Mafia Boss, so you can't be so bad. We want to stay with you and we want to join the gang. That way, we can become stronger since we lost many to attacks in the forest."
Sebastian looked pleased at his decision and nodded as a hint of a smile touched his lips, "You've made a good decision. Connor, Jared and Tucker will train you and-"
As he was saying that, shots rang through the room as bullets pierced the door and the opened windows. Sebastian took a hold of my arm and pulled me down on the floor as he squatted. He looked over me as if checking if I was alright, "Are you alright, cupcake?"
I nodded at him with a small reassuring smile despite the shots being fired at us, "Yeah, I'm fine."
"It's a good thing that we left the windows open, if not, they would have shattered the glass windows again." Oscar muttered with a sigh, knowing that he would have been among those that would clean up the mess if it had occured.
"That's not what we should be worrying about right now, Oscar!" Lisa said to him in a panicked voice as she hugged her baby to her chest who has started weeping from the sound of the gun shots.
Connor also looked panicked as he covered his daughter's ears, "Yeah, we need to start shooting back right now begore it gets worse."
Sebastian moved his hand to the side of his pants and pulled up his shirt to reveal a gun holster before swiftly pulling out the two guns. They were both glocks and he looked so hot by just holding them. He glanced at Connor and Lisa as he replied to them, "You're right and that's what we're going to be doing now."
He glanced at me as he added, "Kat, you stay low with Lisa and Leo while the rest of us shoot back."
"Yes, Alpha!" They all answered and all of them raised up to start shooting as they pulled out guns from either their boots or jeans. Sebastian started raising up, but I stopped him.
A frown fell on my brows at his words and I shook my head, starting to protest, "But I can shoot too."
Sebastian's lips twitched up into a tiny smile as amusement shown on his face, "We only started practicing yesterday, you're not ready. We don't want you accidentally shooting one of us, so stay here and be safe, okay, cupcake?"
I let out a sigh, knowing the he was right, "Okay, be safe too, all of you."
He nodded and leaned his head closer to brush his lips against my forehead. As he pulled back, a banging started on the door as if they were trying to get in as they fired more shots through the window. Sebastian turned around and swiftly stood up, raising both of his guns to shoot. He shot several times, cartridges dropping out of the gun and to the floor as he did.
More shots were fired his way, but he moved from side to side, dodging the bullets. It was so s*xy to watch my bad boy CEO Alpha Mafia boss mate shooting like that. I moved my gaze to Leo to see his reaction to the attack and surprinsingly, he didn't look as scared as I thought that he would. He did look a bit scared, but also excited as his eyes darted nervously between all the ones shooting.
Katie's glock seemed to run out and she cursed, "Sh*t!"
She squatted back down between the couches where we were hiding and moved her hand under the couch to pull out several stash of guns. She picked up a rifle and glanced at me then Lisa and Leo, "You three doing good?"
Lisa nodded as she rocked a crying Hailey against her chest while I answered her, "Yeah."
Leo nodded as he muttered out an excited, "Yes."
"Awesome, just stay low and don't get shot." She added, looking directly at him since he was new to the pack.
He nodded, "Okay."
Katie raised back up and started shooting with her rifle through the window as she dodged a few shots. I wondered how they could see the shooters outside from being all the way in the middle of the living room when I remembered that we have enhanced werewolf sight. It allowed us to see very far ahead just like how werewolf hearing worked.
Jared and Connor both have AK 47 in their hands as they shot out the windows and the doors. Tucker, Oscar, Ross, Aaron and Selena all had rifles in their hands as they shot back. My gaze moved back to mate as his brows dipped in concerntration while he shot. Suddenly, the door was kicked down and fifteen people started marching in. Ten were men and five were women, all were dressed in dark jeans and dark toned tops as they held onto their small and big guns.
Sebastian marched towards them along with the others as they continued fighting and shooting. More gun shots fired through the window and it was only Connor shooting back whole the others fought head on with the intruders. Lisa looked worried and moved a now quiet Hailey to me as she sucked on her pacilfier, "Here, take her while I help Connor out."
"Okay." I replied to her as I watched her pick up two glocks from the gun stash that Katie pulled out from under the couch and raise up.
She started firing out the window as she went to stand beside her mate.I thought that the looked cool, but then my mate looked even cooler. My gaze drifted back to him and I felt worry mixed with heat pulse through me as I watched him. The man that he was fighting threw a punch towards hi head, but he dodged to the side and threw a kick towards his abdomen. That sent him barrelling to the floor as he held onto his abdomen, groaning in pain.
He swiftly raised up his gun and fired at Sebastian's head. My heart almost stopped as I held my breath, watching the scene unfold, but Sebastian was swifter and he ducked just before the bullet touched his forehead. As the bullet whizzed past the top of his head and into the wall, he raised back up and swiftly aimed his gun at the man's hand. His shot went through his wrist, making him scream out in pain.
Before my mate could react, another man fired a shot at him. Sebastian heard it before he saw it and he dodged to the side. The bullet missed him by a few inches as it whizzed past his shoulder. He turned to the person just as he barrelled towards him with his arm out, ready to punch him. Sebastian grabbed his wrist before his fist touched hus face and twisted it, making the man yelp in pain.
The man raised up his gun and pressed it against my mate's forehead as he growled out, "Do as I say or I f*****g blow your head up!"
A look of disbelief and anger showed on Sebastian's face at the audacity of this man. In a second, the man was lying flat on his back on the floor as blood rushed out from the bullet hole on his chest. Sebastian shot him using his Alpha power of quick speed and he had shot him in a vital place. Did he mean to kill him? Was this what he meant when he said that he was 'RUTHLESS'?
