Chapter 74: Chapter 74

My heart beat faster in fear and worry about what this could mean. My tummy twisted with anxiety as my eyes dropped down to the man gurgling on his own blood as it rushed out of his mouth and chest. That image reminded me of what he did to deserve that. No matter how scary the sight was, I knew that Sebastian had every right to shoot him because he was either going to kill him or enslave us all.

It was self defense and pack defense. I felt that I supported Sebastian's decision to shoot him as I raised my gaze up to him. I realized that he was already looking at me as his eyes met mine. His chest was heaving up and down as his alluring dark eyes stared into mine, looking pained and hopeful. He probably thought that the sight would scare me away and he was right, but I also knew my sense of right and wrong.

Our stare was cut short by a woman running at him as she yelled out, "For Luca!"

She jumped, throwing her foot in the air to kick him, but Sebastian was quick. He turned to her and grabbed her ankle right before it smashed his gorgeous face. He threw her onto the floor and she landed with a loud groan. She kicked out her foot to kick out his legs from under him, but he jumped and landed a few inches away. She transformed into her black and white wolf, seeing that she couldn't win in human form.

However, she also couldn't win in wolf form, but she didn't seem to think about that. As soon as she shifted, she ran at him, aiming for his throat with her sharp wolf teeth. Sebastian grabbed her throat in one of his strong arms while still in human form. He squeezed it as his dark eyes narrowed at her, making fear flash through her eyes and run through her body. He threw her into the far wall and her back hit it as she let out a yelp.

She looked wounded, but not dead as she laid there in pain. Sebastian turned to my direction, his eyes searching for me and he found me. Relief washed over his face and he turned back to the fight just as a man in his late thirties started towards him. The man has white hair, an average built and a more than average height, but my mate was still taller and bigger than him.

The man smirked as if he has won the fight already, "Just give up, Sebastian. You should be tired of all these attacks by now, join us and let me be your Alpha or let me kill you because we're never going to stop attacking you."

Sebastian scoffed at him as his hands balled into fists, ready for a fight, "You must be tripping, Alejandro. You think you can be my Alpha when I am the Alpha Mafia Boss? Or you think I'm scared of your little attacks? I can just kill you now and we'll see if you can keep attacking me without your head joined to your body."

As soon as he was done speaking, he didn't wait for Alejandro to answer him, he moved his other gun to his free hand and raised both, aiming at the Alpha of the attackers. Sebastian placed his fingers on each trigger of the gun as he narrowed his eyes at him. Alejandro let out a disbelieving laugh as he raised his rifle, "What a show off! Just because your father was Alpha too doesn't mean you're meant to rule us all. I should be the one and not you! I run a real Mafia pack with drug dealings and kills, not you! I-"

Sebastian didn't wait for him to continue with his rant and pressed the trigged on both of his guns. The two bullets whizzed towards Alejandro as cartridges dropped to the floor. One bulled went to his shoulder while the other went to his hand, making his drop the gun as he screamed in pain. He used his unharmed hand to press his shoulder then press the injured wrist to his shirt to stop the bleeding.

Anger shown on the man's face as he glared at Sebastian, "You f*****g shot me! You son of a b*tch!"

Sebastian narrowed his eyes further as he gripped his guns tighter, "And I will do it again if you don't leave us alone. The next time I shoot you, Alejandro, I will make sure that you can never take another breath again."

Alejandro looked scared, but also still angry as his jaw clenched tightly, "Fine! But you haven't won, Sebastian! I shall take my revenge!"

"Should I just end your life now to save us the trouble of you coming back here?" Sebastian asked, looking irritated as he pressed his fingers on the trigger of his guns even more.

More fear shown on Alejandro's face as he shook his head vigorously, "No! Don't shoot, please! We won't come back, everyone, retreat!"

He said the last part looking over at his pack members that were fighting and shooting our pack members. He didn't wait to see if they have retreated as he turned around and ran out of the house. The pack members started running after him too and I thought all of them were going to leave without causing more trouble when a woman with blonde hair ran at me while I was still cradling the baby.

"You don't deserve to be a Luna!" She shouted as she threw a punch at me.

I quickly passed the baby to Leo and threw my foot out to kick her legs from under her. She dropped on the floor and I stood up, holding my fists in front of me, ready for a fight. She quickly stood back up and threw her foot out to kick me, but I dodged to the side and threw a punch at her jaw. I didn't wait for her to recover as I jumped and threw a kick at her chest, sending her sprawling on the floor as she groaned in pain.

"Whoa! You look so hot fighting like that, cupcake. I had no idea that you knew how to fight." Sebastian's velvety, deep voice came from the side.

I turned to see him walking towards me with a proud look on his face and a blush rose on my cheeks. "I learnt Tae Kwando to make sure that my human strength matched up to my wolf's."

"That's impressive." He commented as he stopped in front of me.

I touched his face with both of my hands as I looked him over with worry in my eyes. There was blood on his top and hands, but he looked fine. Relief washed over me and I replied, "You were more impressive and I hope that you're not hurt."

His lips twitched up into a small smile and he looked amused at my worry as he placed his hands on top of mine on his cheeks, "I'm fine, cupcake. They can't hurt me, I'm invincible."

A frown fell on my brows at his last word while he took my hands away from his face and interlace our fingers together. "Invincible? What do you mean?"

His smile widened at my question, "I'll explain it later."

I was very curious to know what he meant, but I knew that Sebastian always stuck to what he says, so I nodded, letting out a sigh, "Okay."

"Okay, I'll go have another shower now."

"Okay, I'll see you after."

"Sure, cupcake." He replied to me and leaned closer to press a wet kiss on the corner of my lips, making my heart race.

When he pulled back, a smirk was on his lips as want showed in his eyes. I could tell that he wanted to tease me, especially since he wanted me to join him in the shower. But I was too shy to do that and that's why I told him to leave until after we mate tonight. Since I wouldn't feel as shy after we explore each other I'm every way possible tonight.

My teasing mate turned around and started towards the stairs. I turned back to the room and realized the girl that attacked me was no longer laying there. I had no idea who she was, but she hated the fact that I was Luna? Some people were just crazy, or should I say some wolves? My gaze moved to the spot that the guy gurgling on his blood laid and I realized that he wasn't there either which made me frown.

"If you're wondering where all the dead bodies and hurt wolves are, their pack members took them and we let them since Alpha has given them a chance to escape." Jared said with a sigh from beside me, drawing my attention to him.

"That's very generous of him, but what if they attack again even though they said the won't?"

"Then we fight them to the death. There won't be anymore mercy left for them." Adam said, taking my attention to him and I felt shocked that he was there.

My shock was evident on my face and in my voice, "How did you get here? I thought you were farther inside the house, showing the new members around."

He shook his head, "Yes, I was, but I came here as soon as I heard gun shots. As the Beta, I can't hide there and wait for them to leave."

I nodded, "Yeah, you're right."

"Luna, thanks so much for protecting Hailey." Lisa said to me in a grateful voice, pulling my attention to her as she came to stand beside me, cradling her quiet baby in her arms.

I smiled at her, "It's fine, I didn't do a great job since I handed her over to Leo."

She shook her head, "Yes, you did and handing her over to Leo was to protect her from that crazy girl's attack."

"I'm just glad that she's okay."

"Me too."

"Yeah, I'm going to go clean up too." I said, glancing at the people around me and they nodded. My mind thought back to Sebastian's invitation to shower together as I started towards the stairs.
