Chapter 14: Chapter 14
When the twins saw me, they immediately jumped up from the couch and ran towards me as mom and dad went over to sit on the two seater couch. They both wrapped their little arms around my legs as they giggled, "Kitty Kat!"
I let go of his hand and bent down to hug them. "Hey, you two!"
They released my legs and moved back to look at me and the man beside me. A frown fell on their brows as they realized that he wasn't Cameron. Penny pointed at him as she asked, "Who's this?"
Polly nodded and asked, "Where's Cameron?"
Sebastian squatted down to their height as he flashed them a friendly smile, "Hey, girls. I'm Sebastian, your sister's mate."
Even though they were five years old, they knew what a mate was since our parents loved telling us the story of how they met as mates over and over again. They both grinned at him and enveloped him in a hug as they giggled, "Hi, Kat's mate!"
They pulled back and I noticed that he was grinning at them too with a pleased look on his face. He scooped both of them up and lifted them up in each of his muscular arms as he looked between them, "What are your names, babydolls?"
Polly shook her head, her dark hair that was tightened into a pony tail switched from side to side. "We're not dolls, silly."
Penny giggled at her sister and I smiled at seeing them warming up to Sebastian already. He raised his brows at Polly's reaction, "Okay, what are your names, baby, but not dolls."
The two erupted in more giggles and finally, Polly said, "I'm Polly and I think you're funny!"
Penny nodded in agreement to her twin, "I'm Penny, and I like you, Sebastan!"
"Nice to meet you, Polly and Penny, and I like both of you too. You can also call me Seb." Sebastian said to them, smiling. He must have said the last part because he realized that his name was a little difficult for them pronounce.
The two grinned at him as they replied, "Okay, Seb!"
Polly started pushing down on his arm that was holding her so that he would let her down and he did. She ran back to the couch and laid across Vanessa's lap. Penny also pushed down on his arm, "Let me down."
He let her down and she ran on her little legs to mom and dad's couch them laid down on a lap. He smiled at her and continued watching the Disney Channel that Vanessa was concerntrating so hard on instead of coming to meet Sebastian. I glanced at Sebastian who was now staring at me with a smile playing on his lips. "I'm glad they love you."
"I'm glad too, but it seems that someone is finding it hard to accept me." He replied, his gaze straying to Vanessa who refused to glance his way.
I let out a sigh, "Vanessa, why don't you come and meet my mate?"
She let out a huff and turned to us with a frown on her brows, "I already met him at the door."
Mom turned to her with a frown, "Vanessa Mason, is that how I raised you to be? Get off that couch and have a proper introduction with your sister's mate or so help me God."
"Alright, alright! No need for all that." Vanessa muttered as she moved Polly from her lap to the couch and stood up.
She walked up to us and glanced at Sebastian, "Hey, Sebastian Wolfe. I'm glad to meet you."
Even though she was being a downer, he flashed her a smile, "I'm glad to meet you too, Vanessa. Do you want tickets to the new R.L Stine, haunting hour marathon? You can go with your friends."
Her eyes widened in shock as she gasped, "What?! You have tickets to the movie? How many?"
He let out a chuckle in his deep voice and I smiled at how smoothly he has just won her over. "Yes, I have four."
He placed his hand into his jeans pocket and pulled the tickets out then stretched them to her. She took it from him as she jumped up in excitement, "Oh my God, you're the coolest! Thanks so much!"
She skipped over to the couch and grabbed her phone as she ran out of the room, "Hey, Jess. I have tickets to the haunting hour marathon that we've been wanting to see!"
"You've officially won her over." Dad stated as he looked at Sebastian, proudly.
"I'm so proud of you for that." I grinned at Sebastian as I took his hand and pulled him to the three seater couch where Polly was sitting on. As soon as we sat down, she leaned against his shoulder and he chuckled.
"I'm glad that I was able to win her over." He replied as he wrapped his arm around my shoulders and pulled me to him.
I raveled in how warm and nice his mucular body felt beside mine as I placed my head on his shoulder. "It wasn't easy for Cameron to win her over."
Mom glanced at us as she commented, "Yeah, it took him months to get her to warm up to him."
Dad nodded, "Vanessa is one tough nut to crack."
Sebastian looked pleased and proud at himself as he grinned, "It's great that I was able get to her on the first day."
"Yeah, especially since she's still mourning Cameron." I replied and dad nodded.
Mom turned to him as she asked, "So what about your mother, Sebastian? When can we meet her and your pack?"
Sebastian looked a bit uncomfortable when she mentioned his pack, but he kept his smile. "I'm taking Kat to meet her after leaving here, so we can talk to her about meeting you two. As for my pack, it's a very private one. I will introduce you to them after I initiate Kat into it later on."
"Alright." Mom replied with a large smile while Dad looked excited as he nodded, "Can't wait to meet them since we've never been in a pack before. It has always been just our family."
Sebastian looked glad that they were excited, "Well, you're going to love it because we are a very warm pack. They love having new members and I'm sure that they'll love having you all, especially since you're my mate's family."
"Sebastian, maybe we should get going to your mom's since it's getting pretty late." I said to him as I glanced out the window at the setting sun before looking back at him.
