Chapter 13: Chapter 13

I nodded, "Yes, I can see that, so let's just avoid that topic for now."

"Alright." Sebastian muttered as he took in another deep breath and let it out.

He started the car again and we were back on the road. I knew that I had to keep our minds and our wolf's minds off of marking me, so I changed the topic, "So how many siblings do you have?"

He glanced at me briefly with a small smile touching his lips before looking back at the road, "Only one and you?"

Sebastian stopped the car just as I realized that we have arrived at my parents' home. "Three. We're here."

"Yes, we are." He confirmed, nodding as he opened his door.

I opened my door too and climbed out just as he did. We walked around the car and made our up the steps. I was about to ring the doorbell when he took my hand in his, making me turn to him. His lips tugged up into a smile as he interlaced our fingers, "I want to show your family that I really care about you."

I couldn't help, but smile at how sweet he was being, "Awe, that's so sweet of you, Sebastian."

He let out a chuckle in his deep voice, "I know, cupcake, your sweetness is already rubbing off on me."

I let out a small laugh and pressed the door bell. "That's good because I want to leave my mark on you."

He parted his lips to reply, but the door opened and mom appeared at the doorway. A look of surprise passed over her face as she looked between Sebastian and I, but smiled, "Hey, Kat and Kat's friend."

As she said the last part, her gaze trailed over to our joint hands before she looked back up to our faces. I grinned at her as I led Sebastian inside, "Hey, mom! This is my mate, Sebastian."

"Hello, Ma'am. It's a pleasure to meet you." Sebastian greeted her as he flashed her a charming smile.

She looked even more shocked, but she also looked pleased to see him as she closed the door, "Mate? What about Cameron? What happened?"

"Mom, Cameron has been cheating on Kat for two months now with Sierra. She broke up with him when she found out last night and then a few moments later, she met her mate." Vanessa muttered in a gloomy voice from behind us.

We turned to see her in the hallway, right outside the living room's door. I was about to reprimind her for telling mom when I specifically told her that I wanted them to hear it from me, but I was cut off by mom. She gasped as she pressed her hand against her chest, "How could this be?"

"What did you just say, Vanessa?" Dad said as he walked out of the living room.

I let out a sigh when I saw the anger and hurt look on his face mixed with shock. "Cameron cheated on me with Sierra and I found my mate just after catching them in the act."

Both dad and mom looked speechless as they tried to process what Vanessa and I just said while Sebastian looked like he didn't know what to say as he studied their reactions. So I gestured to him as I introduced him, "Dad, this is my mate, Sebastian Wolfe and he's also an Alpha."

I didn't have to tell him that he was an Alpha since they could already sense his Alpha aura, but I wanted to so that they would know that he was even better than Cameron who was also an Alpha. Dad seemed to come out of his shock as his lips stretched into a smile, "Do you Sebastian Wolfe, the owner and CEO of Wolfe Corp?"

"Yes." I replied, grinning as I nodded.

"Isn't that where you just started working today?" Mom asked as she looked between Sebastian and I.

Before I could answer her, Sebastian did, "Yes, Ma'am. Kat started working there just today."

Dad grinned and patted him on his back, "That's wonderful! I am so happy that Kat finally met her mate and left that good for nothing Cameron."

He moved on from Cameron faster than I expected. Sebastian smiled back at him, looking very pleased that my dad accepted him. Mom nodded as she stepped closer to Sebastian and enveloped him in a hug while he was still holding my hand, "Yes, we're so glad that she finally found her mate. We were so scared she might never find him."

Sebastian looked a bit uncomfortable as she hugged him, especially since he was tall and muscular while she was short and small. She pulled back as he replied while he continued grinning, "I'm so glad that you both like me, Sir and Ma'am because I'm already head over heels for your daughter."

They both grinned as they stood side by side. Mom looked so happy as she exclaimed, "Awe!"

"You don't have to be so formal, Sebastian. You can call us mom and dad, we're already connected now." Dad said to him as he looked so proud of me.

I nodded as I looked between my parents, "I'm so glad you guys are able to accept Sebastian and forget Cameron."

Dad shook his head as his brows furrowed, "Who said I'm forgetting Cameron? I'm driving to his house to beat him up for hurting you as soon as you two leave."

I wasn't surprised that day would say that, but I knew that I couldn't let him do that. "No, dad. Please don't, he'll think that we care about him that much that we would do that. Just let him be with Sierra."

"Yeah, you shouldn't do that, Mason. That would just make him think that he matters to us." Mom added as she wrapped her arms around his arm closest to her.

He glanced at her then looked over at me and Sebastian. He let out a sigh, "Fine, anyway, Sebastian, please come in and meet the rest of the family."

Sebastian gave him a polite smile as he nodded, "Sure, dad."

Dad looked pleased when he heard him call him dad. He and mom turned around and turned right to walk into the living room. I realized that Vanessa wasn't in the hallway anymore. She must be in the living room and I was right because I saw her as soon as Sebastian and I entered the room, still holding hands. She was sitting on the three seater couch with the twins, Polly and Penny.
