Chapter 21: Chapter 21

Iris suddenly had terrible thoughts about Jonathan. He couldn't have stolen the phone to keep an eye on her from afar, could he? Her mouth laughed uncertainly and awkwardly. She then typed a message for him.

She had a bit of a nosy intent now. And this she learned from a colleague when she worked part-time at a coffee shop. She bit her thumb a little intensely before sending the message to him.

'I'll keep it. What name do you want me to write your contact on my phone? Dear? My darling? XD.'

“Iris! Come on!" Suddenly Shane called out.

Iris immediately stood up and realized that she had been busy in her world since earlier. Luckily Shane called her. Otherwise, goodbye, Hawaii.

"Wait for me!" She shouted as she half-ran after them all. Jack was already in the front row, and the others were like playgroup boys for following him.

When entering the plane, Iris didn't forget to turn on airplane mode on her phone. But when she saw the incoming message from Jonathan, her smile immediately broke out like a flower blooming in spring. Her eyes were looking here and there, afraid that someone would see her stupid expression.

'Are you tired of living?'

“Pfft!” Iris hastily covered her mouth. Eva turned her head when she heard Iris giggling next to her.

'I'm sorry I had to postpone our dinner again.'

Iris sent the message to Jonathan, and unfortunately, she felt the man was angry because he canceled dinner appointments again. She felt clumsy either because Jonathan seemed bored and didn't care about the promise anymore.

Her eyes stared at the phone screen before she smiled sadly. Jonathan couldn't possibly reply to her messages again. Iris regretted that she had not been able to keep her promise.

After a few minutes of waiting, the plane finally took off for Hawaii.

Throughout the journey, Eva, who was sitting next to Iris, was silently watching her. Iris tied her hair in a ponytail. There wasn't a scar-like them near her ear.

Her eyes blinked a few times as she watched how Iris interacted. She is a woman who can be said to be quite cheerful, just like girls in general who fall in love when they stare at their phone screen.

Even seen from the end of the straw, Iris looks precisely like an average human. Eva was confused, then who was Hairesh? Or maybe someone James saw while reading Iris' future? Eva doesn't know anymore. She is getting dizzy now.

Iris turned her head when she felt Eva think about something heavy.  She sighs, and also, she massages her forehead a little firmly.

"Are you okay? I can share a vomit bag if you want.” Shane seemed to laugh and deliberately threw a packet of candy into her lap.

“Eva isn't that weak, Iris. She can still walk above ten thousand feet while skydiving.”

Iris's mouth opened slightly after hearing that. She was shocked and couldn't believe that Eva could do that. And that's right! Walking when falling from a height requires high skill.

"What on earth! Are you serious?  That's crazy. I've never skydived before." Iris touched her chin thoughtfully.

Eva immediately pinched Shane's thigh. But what she heard was a moan that Shane deliberately let out. Jack even got up from his chair to see who the crazy people were.

“Don't make a fuss, Shane. Your voice sounds terrible," said Jack, immediately ruffling Shane's short hair.

“I know you want to hear it again, Jack. Don't make excuses like that." Said Shane, whose confidence level could already knock on the sky's door. Jack immediately got goosebumps and sat back down in his chair.

“Ridiculous! Get out of here, Shane!” Shane suddenly stood up from her chair. She was approaching Jack, who was immediately hysterical when he saw Shane swap seats with Tommy.

"Kid, switch places with me," Shane said, and immediately Jack was made even more panicked.

"Hey, Tommy! Don't you dare- Hey!" Tommy chuckled and motioned for Shane to sit in his chair. Iris rolled her eyes lazily after hearing Jack's voice.

"Please have a seat, doctor. Check his psyche, please." Tommy's words made Martin chuckle. His hands immediately restrained Jack from running from his chair.

"Of course, Kid. I'll check his ass as well." Shane said, which made the other plane passengers misunderstand.

"Hey!  Tommy! You are an unfaithful friend! Stop Shane! Oh, God!”

Iris finally covered her mouth and chose to pretend not to know them. Their insanity is genuinely shameful. Eva turned to Tommy and shook hands with her.

"Thank you. Thanks to you, they were able to regroup with the species.” Tommy chuckled in agreement with Eva.

"You're welcome." Iris shook her head.

Her not-so-smart brain was trying to understand the behavior of all her co-workers, who were almost 80 percent insane.

The three of them sat in the same row and did busy activities to kill time on the plane. Eva is in the mood for reading novels, while Tommy listens intently to music from his earphones.

Then Iris stared out the window, thinking about Jonathan. That cold, expressionless man doesn't seem to miss her if he leaves? Her expression turned annoyed, and her mouth cursed him at the thought of his 'unconcerned face'.

'Tsk! Be thankful you were born handsome, Nathan.'

Iris then closed her eyes and fell asleep. Hopefully, when she wakes up, the plane will land in Hawaii.

"Do you know the name Hairesh?" Iris suddenly opened her eyes again when Eva suddenly asked. Her eyes were staring awkward at her.

Iris struggled to swallow her saliva of nervousness. Eva even had time to hear it, too, and only now did she ask about it. And also, she didn't know who Haires was, even though it was a strong guess that Hairesh was Jonathan's real name.

"Too bad, I don't know. I thought you didn't hear it." Eva's index finger seemed to scratch the cover of her novel.

"Why haven't your scars dried since the last year we met?"

Iris directly touched the scar on her chest. She can't understand why Eva could know about her scar. But her mind immediately fell on Shane. Of course, that scientist will say anything to her.

“The scar is still itching since the demon sliced it. So I'm always scratching it, and it's hard to dry."
