Chapter 11: Chapter 11
"Relax, I'm pretty self-aware if I ask for something." He said as if he had no sin in his entire life. Iris rolled her eyes in annoyance.
She feels the burden of her life is increasing when Jonathan again asks for payment for all the information she asked for. But the devil has no compassion, she tried to understand it.
"I already have the status of your slave. If there is a status lower than that, I most likely have no self-respect anymore." Her words made him smile slightly. It was so thin that Iris herself was instantly glued to it.
Do all demons have a charm like Jonathan? Of all the artists she likes, none has a smile as attractive as him. But it would be a pity if this man in front of her was a demon.
"Are you willing to let me ask you a question? My question may be too sensitive for you." Iris said while tucking her hair behind her ear.
Jonathan fell silent. And that silence made Iris think all kinds of things. Maybe she'd gone too far or her words had offended the man? She glanced at him a few times.
"I have one offer for you, Ana," Jonathan said so calmly.
He got up from the bed and walked to a chair and sat on it. His eyes stared straight at her. Iris seems desperate as she tries to read Jonathan's character, which is too mysterious.
"I'll listen to it first." She said, waiting for him to speak again.
Some things she knew about Jonathan. First, he's a hot guy. She wouldn't argue about it again. Second, he didn't move and starting with his cool glance, which made her awkward. And third, he is a quiet man and avoids physical contact with humans.
Well, Iris forgot that Jonathan had touched her stomach and chest yesterday.
"I'll give you all the information regarding the demons. Everything. The gathering place, who are the remaining ones and what their strengths and weaknesses are," He said while crossing his legs.
Iris furrowed her brows in thought. Actually, what did Jonathan want? His offer to her was such a big thing. All the information about the devil? Seriously!
She has had bad experiences in her life. Of course, she would be much more careful now. Especially the devil full of deceit like Jonathan.
"I want to ask you one thing, Nathan. What's your real aim? You couldn't have offered me if it weren't for something." Iris said deliberately, showing a displeased face.
Could he lie to her and instead use her to destroy the organization, right? Everything about him was also too mysterious. The silence in the room made her a little uncomfortable. She also saw his forehead wrinkle like he was thinking hard.
"Let's just say I have the same mission as you."
Iris, who heard the words of the male demon in front of her, only frustrated her even more.
"Suppose? You want me to think so?" She asked to which Jonathan nodded his head.
"Don't you believe in that reasoning?"
"Of course not! You've tricked me once." Iris subconsciously raised her voice.
Jonathan, who doesn't like loud noises, immediately puts one index finger in front of his lips to warn her. Iris rolled her eyes in emotion.
"I'm not forcing you to take my offer. The choice is yours. If you don't accept it, I also have nothing to lose and if you accept it I'm also willing to cooperate with you."
Iris bit her lip slightly exasperated. She didn't realize that Jonathan wasn't looking at her eyes anymore. But on those tormented lips.
"What are the risks if I accept your offer?" She asked again.
"I'll slice your scar like yesterday. Once a week regularly." Iris, who heard that, became a little uncomfortable. This Jonathan has a strange fetish or what?
"Just that?"
"Yes, that's all."
She feels dizzy right now, so she grabbed a pillow and lay down on her bed. Once a week he would cut her skin. He may want her to die slowly from the infection.
But in retrospect, the offer was very tempting. She rose from her position and sat facing him.
"If I accept your offer, will you answer all my questions?"
Jonathan rolled his eyes in annoyance. While she had not agreed to his offer, she had asked too many questions.
"I'll answer it if it's about demons." He said with a heavy heart.
Iris nodded a few times before she stood up and approached him.
"Deal." She held out her hand for a handshake and they shook hands. As a sign that the agreement has been agreed and will start into force.
"Tell me what you know about us." Jonathan moved towards the bed and started a discussion to exchange information with her.
"You have unlimited power and various talents. You can imitate humans so that it is easier for you to change identities and can also move quickly." Iris tried to explain what she knew from Shane. Jonathan nodded several times.
"To be precise, those strengths and talents can be honed. And it also depends on the bloodline. But almost all demons can use the duplicating technique. In a day, they can change identities hundreds of times to evade your organization." Iris didn't know what kind of expression to make at this moment.
A day can be hundreds of times to change the face and appearance? Seriously?
"Then what other talents do your people have?" Jonathan tugged at the ends of Iris' hair that was hanging near her neck.
"Don't touch us carelessly, Ana. You can be controlled by us like this."
Iris suddenly felt her body stiffen. She couldn't even move her eyes to look at him. And unconsciously her body moved on its own. She got up and stood up and faced Jonathan.
'Can you move an inch of your body, Ana?'
'Oh, God! How could this happen? Uh? Wait, how come your voice is in my head?'
Iris didn't know what Jonathan was doing to her body. He was sitting right in front of her as he spoke. But what makes it strange is that he just sits there. His mouth didn't even move.
'I can't move! How could this happen? Ugh!'
And suddenly Iris felt like something was being pulled from her body. She fell to the floor with her whole body limp and gasping for breath.
"Telepathic abilities and body control. And it just so happens that I can do that." Jonathan said deliberately doing that to her.
Iris immediately chuckled and tried to get up to sit on the bed again.
"So all this time you can read my mind?" She asked and Jonathan nodded once. "Then you know I used to curse you in my mind?" Jonathan nodded again.
Iris laughed. It was useless, she cursed in her heart so as not to be heard by him. But in fact, he could read her mind. So sad.
"What else can you do, Nathan?"
Her breathing had calmed down and Jonathan continued to stare at her. The power of telepathy meant he could tell someone's mood?
'What is he thinking now? Is he trying to read whether I'm lying or not?' Iris said to herself with narrowed eyes.
"I was thinking of the easiest way to explain it to you. All these powers we have are sometimes difficult for the human mind to accept."
