Chapter 98: Chapter 98

Vienna rushed to the house but Alan wasn’t there so she held to his office and rushed in after being identified by the new secretary, she decide to knock on the door before going inside but there is no response from him

She waited for another minute before knocking again and decide to go in after another minute without hearing an answer from him, she walked in and saw him sitting in his seat with his back towards her

She embrace herself and move closer to him then dropped her bag on his table and move closer to face him

“Am sorry” she apologized

“I.. the thing is, he was at the door and was looking so sick and unwell I couldn’t just ignore him that’s why I had to let him in and…” she tried to explain but seeing that Alan is not listening to her she stopped

“Can you please say something or scream at me” she tried again but he continue to ignore her and turned his face away

Vienna walk to him and continue to explain and apologize but he wasn’t listening and stood up to leave which pissed Vienna off and she held him back from leaving

“Where are you going to? Am still talking to you” she said, Alan shook her hand off but she held on again

“Why exactly are you angry? I explained the situation to you already and also I didn’t nothing wrong so why are you giving me the silent treatment!” she yelled at him and Alan turned to her angrily

“You did nothing wrong?” he questioned in disbelieve and Vienna quickly become sober and apologize

“Am sorry, I didn’t mean to say that” Alan ignores her again and walk outside and Vienna followed him unable to catch up with him so she had to hasten her steps

“Why do you always get worked up when it Sam? I have other guy that we are friends and Sam is also one of them” she shouted after but he didn’t stop and get into the elevator while Vienna rush in with him

“I mean you should trust me that nothing is going on, that was just an unpleasant situation and I didn’t mean for that to open” she continued on and on till they got off from the elevator and staffs start to stare and gossip behind them

Everyone in the company knows little or nothing about their boss’s wife but they all know he is married. They don’t except that as reserve as their boss is, he will have a fight with his wife in the company vicinity

Vienna keep talking on and on don’t minding people’s stare and words, she yelled about Alan being petty and too jealous, Alan keep walking not wanting to reply her an create more scenes in the company but Vienna just keep talking and he was getting tired, he wants to cover her mouth and carry her out of the company but didn’t because of his anger and decide to rather leave

The both of them exit out of the company and Vienna followed him to the parking lot to get his car, just as he was about to reach where the car is parked Vienna jumped in front of the car and adamantly stayed despite Alan ignoring her and entered the car to drive off

Alan motioned for her to leave and even turned on the engine of the car to move but she didn’t leaving Alan no choice but to get out of the car and immediately he moved closer to her, Vienna start to cry

“Are you really going to run me over? I cant believe you are trying to kill your wife” she accused him and cried the more

Alan sighed frustrated and giving in to her, he pick her up from the floor and carried her into the car then he closed the door and joined her

“Are you still very angry with me?” Vienna asked

“Lets talk at home” he simply replied and drove off

They soon arrive home and the both of them got out of the car and entered the house, Alan held her hand and lead her to his study room then close the door after him and hand his phone to her

“Sam sent you this using my phone?” she asked in disbelieve and total shock, what she’s seeing looks unreal but its right in front of her…

Vanessa’s boyfriend drop her off at the company and she entered feeling happy from the treat she just had before coming here. As she walk in front the front desk, she notice everyone staring at her and react nonchalantly to it, she puts on a pink low back see through top with a black jean trousers and tied a jacket on her waist.

She had no plan on coming to the office today because she took a leave of absence to skip work because of her presentation at school but unfortunately the presentation was canceled and Josephine called to inform her that she is needed at the company so she had to forsake her date to be here

She continued inside after greeting the receptionist who responded coldly and even ignore her question about Carolina. She overlook her behaviour and proceed inside but as she walk, she noticed that every other person is staring and pointing at her while murmuring somethings to themselves and shaking their head. Some even eyed her and spit at her as she walked

Vanessa gets curious if they are acting that way because of her dressing or something else so she walk to Carolina's seat to ask her before going to her office but before she gets to her Carolina was already coming towards her and drag her out when she got to her

Carolina held Vanessa and lead her out to the outer part of her office floor where they can talk then let go of her hand looking at her worriedly

“You haven't heard the rumor right?” she questioned seeing that confused look on Vanessa's face

“The CEO and his fiancee’s official engagement ceremony is in three days” she informed her and Vanessa scoffed

“A big congrats to them, so how is that my business?” she said with sarcasm

“But then a rumor start to spread on the company’ group yesterday night that you are trying to come in between them by seducing the CEO” she explained

“seduce? Who on earth will believe that ridiculous rumor? Do I look like someone who needs to seduce a guy to get him? She replied not feeling concerned

“But everyone has believed it and just few minutes ago, the CEO had a fight with his fiancee and she left angrily after asking after you so everyone is assuming you are the cause of their fight” she explained further

“what nonsense!” Vanessa said pissed off and held her head thinking back on the way everyone was looking at her earlier

“what don’t you leave the company first and lets see how to clear your name later” Carolina suggested but Vanessa wasn’t having any of that

“Why should I leave? I did nothing wrong” she snapped and made to leave but Carolina held her back but knowing her stubborn nature she let go

“Just be careful” she told her before she left and also went back to her own office.
