Vanessa ignore everyone’s stare at continue to her office taking the elevator wit h some other employee, immediately they all saw her everyone stopped talking and move away to one side

Vanessa entered and press the button to her floor then remove an earpiece from her bag and use it to prevent herself from hearing any of their words, as she was about to play a sound track she heard someone mentioned her name and stopped curious to hear what she will say

“Imagine how shameless she is! she even has the nerves to come to the company today” a coworker said and another one replies her

“Such things shouldn't surprise you, am sure she is a slut even her dress says it all about her behaviour”

“But how can she go for a man that is already taken? Much less the Boss” the first lady said and gave her a disgusting look.

Vanessa felt very angry and furious, she didn’t even do anything at all and this people are all judging her without any proof and how dare them call her a slut.

To even think about the word seducing sounds ridiculous and funny to her, she wants to confront them and tell them its their boss that is after her and has been calling her everyday but she held it in and kept her cool till the elevator stops at her floor and she got out still hearing whispers behind her as she leaves

She entered her office and Josephine was startled to see her, she jolt from her seat looking frightened but quickly changed the expression on her face and sat down ignoring her completely

Vanessa didn’t except to get that attitude from her also because she believes that Josephine knows better than everyone else that she did nothing but her attitude just now makes her feel disappointed

“Are you also believing in that rumor?” she asked her and stood in front of her table

“What rumor? I don’t understand what you are talking about” she lied but her facial expression betrayed her

“Maybe you should work better on yourself before lying, your expression just now says otherwise”

“Oh! About you and the boss” she said like she just remembered what she is talking about

“Am sure it must be some misunderstanding on the part of someone to start the rumor, why don’t you go back for today and come back when the rumor has died down a little” she told her faking a smile

“Really? I heard the rumor as been going on from early this morning, how come you didn’t know about it and ask me to come over for some work?” she questioned her full of doubts

“I said that, maybe its because I just heard about the rumors after I called” she answered

“So the work you called me for has been taken care of? That’s why you want me to go back” she questioned further knowing that she’s lying and probably called her here on purpose

“Yes, I took care of it already, you should leave now” she answered looking down

“I don’t know when you had the power in you to send a an employee home but am not leaving, I need to see Nisan” she said sarcastically and turned towards Nisan's office but Josephine stood up hurriedly and block her way to disallow her from getting into his office

“You cant go inside!” she raised her hand to block her more. If Vanessa goes inside now then she might get to know the truth from Nisan and get to know this is her doing

Vanessa pushed her out of the way angrily and forced her way into Nisan's office in annoyance, Nisan was sitting at his desk attending to some work but the her noisily entry disturbed him and he was surprised to see Vanessa come into his office willingly but he also noticed the anger on her face clearly

Josephine also entered after her and tried to push her out of the office, the both of them struggled with each other until Nisan yelled at them to stop and they both release each other

“Sir, she..” Josephine wanted to explain to him but he cut her off and send her out

“leave” he said and stood up from his desk, he walk towards Vanessa slowly as Josephine reluctantly leave them alone

“Why are you here? What happened…” Nisan questioned as he stood up in front of her and Vanessa slapped his face.

Nisan was taken aback by the slap and held his face painfully, he looked at her questionably but she just continue to stare back at him with anger

Vanessa stood in front of excepting an answer from him but none was forthcoming, she remembered the words of the ladies in the elevator earlier and Josephine attitude to her,. everyone is looking at her as a slut who is seducing her boss and causing a dispute in his relationship while he’s just sitting there acting like nothing has happened

“What is the need for this? Did I do something wrong” he queried taking a step closer to her but still held his face in fear that she might launch another slap on his face

“you! You…” she said not knowing how exactly to confront him

“what about me?” he asked again putting his hands down then his mind went to the only reason that can make her to be that angry with him

“Is it because of that?” he queried referring to his engagement with Jennie but Vanessa thought he meant the rumors about her

“That? You are referring to the whole situation as that?” she yelled at him

“Ah, I didn’t mean to but its just a fake news, I will do everything to stop it” he assured her

“when are you doing to do something? After everyone has heard about it” she snapped getting pissed off by his nonchalant behaviour

“Why are you so worked up about it? You’ve been acting like you don’t care since I came back” he retorted

“Why wouldn't I care when this is all about me, am the one getting all the criticism from this and you are asking why am getting worked up” she yelled more

“what! I don’t understand what you are saying at all”

“you wont, I understand that you’ve gotten yourself a girl from a rich family and wants to settle down with her but you trying to get rid of me in this way is just low and despicable”

“who is getting rid of who?” he asked her confused

“If you think am going to resign and leave the company then you are wrong, I will only leave here in your dreams” she told him and opened the door then slam it in his face and left angrily

Nisan was flabbergasted at her behaviour and words, after she left he called Josephine in to ask if anything happened in the company that he doesn't know of but Josephine told him nothing and he dismissed her

Nisan sat at his desk thinking on what else he could have done to make her so angry an recall that she has a friend who also works here, he called and asked for Carolina to be sent to his office.

Carolina soon arrive and met with Josephine before going to his office, the both of them exchanged pleasantries and she went in, Josephine panicked seeing that Nisan might get to know the truth quicker than they except and quickly text Jennie to inform her….
