Sam left and called a cab, he told him Vienna's address then the driver drove him there although curious about what is wrong with him but he decide to mind his own business and keep quiet.
The car soon pull up in front of Vienna's apartment and he struggled to walk to the door and knock on the door, he waited for her to open the door but there wasn’t anyone opening it so he bent down to take a breath and calm down
Vienna walk towards her apartment and saw Sam on the floor near the door, she hurried over and tap him gently surprised to see him in her house
“Are you okay?” she asked and helped him up then she noticed his body is hot and he looks red and uncomfortable.
She quickly opened the door and helped him in then lead him to sit on a chair but he decline and whispered to her to help him with some water
Vienna rushed to get him some cold water from the refrigerator and gave it to him it didn’t get better so she thought of something else and dash to the bathroom. She quickly prepare some cold water in the bathtub and went back inside the living room to help him get in.
She carefully lead him into the bathroom and after instructing him to use the water inside, she turned and close the door then waited for him outside. Vienna was still waiting after five minutes when she heard the doorbell ring and stood up to check who is it
Vienna get to the door to open it but Alan already input the password and entered the house, she was a bit taken aback to see him and knowing how much he dislike Sam, he will surely get mad if he knows he’s with her
“Why did you ring the bell?” she asked but noticed her bag in his hand before he could reply and remembered she had left it outside in an hurry to help Sam inside
“Your bag was outside so I thought you might be with someone” he told her and entered inside the house fully then take a seat and pull her closer then rest his head on her chest and closed his eyes
Vienna placed her hands on him and hugged him tightly and kissed him in the hair
“How is work?” she asked but he just nodded silently still closing his eyes. After they argued for the first time the other day, they haven't spoken much and he must have come to meet her despite his busy schedule to make things up and she really don’t want to get him angry again
Vienna was still thinking of a way to tell him that Sam is here and explain things clearly but before she could do that, they heard the footstep of someone approaching and Vienna sprang up to her feet in a panic alerting Alan who turned to question her attitude
“What…” he was about to say something when he was an half-naked Sam approach them with hos towel around his body, he stare at the image in front of him in disbelief and became furious then he saw the look of shock in Vienna's face and turn her face away from him to himself
Sam was feeling a little better after staying in the water for a while and decide to come out but he had wore his clothes to take the bath and has nothing to change into, he took off his wet clothes and saw two towels in the bathroom, seeing they are both pink he took one and came out to ask Vienna to help with something to wear but didn’t except to see Alan with her.
Vienna held her breath in fear of what will happen and sure enough, Alan moved away from her and took a few steps towards Sam . she wanted to pull him back to stop him but she fears to infuriate him the more
Sam stepped back from him and couldn’t think of how to get out of the situation, this is a perfect scene for him to get in between them but for some reasons it looks like a bad idea, Alan looks like a lion that just spot his long time enemy and prey and about to devour him. Not knowing what to say or do he called out Vienna's name lowly and that seems to infuriate Alan more
Alan suddenly close in on him and threw a punch in his face, he held him and landed another hit on him and Sam stumbled and went to the ground
Vienna turned back her face when she heard the sound and saw Alan hitting him, she rushed to them but didn’t know what to say or do so she just stood restlessly and finally found the right word after another hit landed on his face
“Is not what you think” she said not knowing if her word wont make the situation worse then she pull Alan away from him forcefully but her strength couldn’t match up with his
“He wasn’t feeling too well and I met him at the door so I helped him inside and he had to take…” she explained in anxiety when Alan turned to her angrily, she was silent and waited for him to say something but he just walk out of the room and left
Vienna looked on in disbelieve and stood unable to react until she heard the sound of his car driving away. Sam who was still writhing in pain on the floor called out to Vienna to help him up and she turned to him abruptly
“get your clothes and get out of here before I get back, also take that towel with you” she instruct and took her bag that is laying on the table and bolted out of the house.
