Karen and Benita sat down at the end of a small room with Martin and a few men with them. Everyone of them has a worried look and seems to be thinking about something. After they all remain silent for about ten minutes without saying anything, one of the men who seems to be their leader decide to break the silent.
“boss, what should we do now? Should we just find a way to escape now?” he asked and look from Benita to Karen.
“escape? Is that what you can think of right now? If you have nothing to say then keep quiet and don’t interrupt my thinking” Karen responded angrily and stood up furiously hitting the table in front of him
“you bastard!” he scream and charge towards Benita but stopped when he was an inch away from her.
“if you didn’t touch Vienna then all this wont happen and we will have gone through with our plan with no one knowing” he shouted at her.
“then you shouldn't have slapped me because of her. If you were not greed for her then I wouldn't have done anything, also you sounded confident with your plan to make Alan blind permanently but now look, you have failed in that also. We should have killed him instead”
“killed him? You think if we kill him then you and I will still be here breathing? We will be long dead. To keep all this going then we need to keep him alive”
“then why couldn’t we kill Vienna also? Is she also a threat or you are just keeping her for yourself” she yelled angrily.
“is that why you wanted so badly to kill her? Just because I love her?”
“you don’t love her at all, you just want something that belongs to Alan just like I want something that should be Vienna’s” she yelled yet again
“I don’t think the both of you should be arguing these things right now, we have more important things to do and also Alan already got Miner out of prison and is possible that he already got the evidence from him and find out everything not to mention that he already got Sanchez to his side and all of our men” Martin said getting irritated by their talk.
“that useless man, I should have gotten rid of him a long ago also and that’s your fault” Karen said facing Benita again
“you couldn’t get the evidence from him and that’s your fault, what will you gain from killing him? Have you forgotten that he’s Vienna’s father”
“and also your father. You claim to hate him but still don’t want us to get rid of him”
“okay you both should stop this nonsense and lets think up a solution” Martin suggested coming in between the both of them.
“what other plan should we start looking for now, if we make a move on the coal now, he will probably also get to know or maybe he already knows about it. That sly fellow, no wonder he didn’t do anything at all turns out he knows everything” Karen said and hissed in annoyance
“I don’t think so, if he really know everything then he will have made it known to everyone. Even till now there is no news about us and arrest warrant out for us and there are only two things it means” he said and both Karen and Benita turn their full attention to him.
“Its either he doesn't have a concrete evidence about our activies in the company and also on the coal or the other plan worked. He is really blind now and because of that they are being lenient and are still covering things up so we should use this to our advantage”
“I don’t get what you are saying?” Benita said confused
“what he means is that we should use public opinion to our advantage by making it known to everyone that Alan is blind and compel them to make me the new chairman and since they don’t want to reveal things yet because of Alan then they will have no choice also most of the board of director want Karen instead of the righteous Alan” Karen explained with a smile on his face.
“can we really put this through?” Benita asked doubting their plan
“that’s not for you to decide just go now and do the first step and also remember to be very careful and vigilant” Karen snapped at her and Benita left reluctantly. After he left Karen sat down again still feeling uncomfortable.
“I know what you are worried about but after we successfully make you the new chairman then we can get full control over the coal and then finish Alan off” Martin move closer and whisper to his ears.
“no I don’t think killing Alan will be necessary”
“trust me, if you want to get that girl then Alan must die and also Benita, she wouldn't let her live” he said again and Karen nodded in agreement to him then they came some instruction to their remaining men to find out Vienna and Alan’s location.
