Karen pull a chair for her she sat down then went to get the cake and drink. Vienna quickly turn on her phone recorder immediately he left to be safe. Karen came back and they cut the cake together then Vienna took a bite, Karen open a bottle of wine and offer her a glass.
“am not interested in drinking” she said and push the glass away from her. Karen smiled and agreed without pestering her at all. She really thinks she is smart and can actually escape him then she shouldn't have taken the first drink he offered her earlier. She could forgive Alan after everything he did and dump her but she cant with him, what exactly does she sees in Alan that she doesn't care whatever he does but continue to love him? He already did everything she wants him to and he’s almost like Alan but is just her spoiling things again and also this surprise engagement? He wont allow it he will have to do something to make her realize that she cant be with anyone else but him and him only. He engage her in small talks and wait for the drug to take an effect on her but after ten minutes, there is nothing. He wonder what was going and wanted to call the waiter he sent but he doesn't know him well because the plan was rushed and sudden he just picked a random waiter to use for the job but even though he has failed him, his plan will still go ahead. He just have to make everyone see them together and believe they are having an affair and cause her engagement to be broken once again. Ever though its will also affect him but he cant let her be with another man for long especially not Alan. He took his phone and sent a message to someone.
“you look anxious, is there something wrong? If you have to go then I will also…”
“no is not that just need to reply a message” he said and continue talking to her while Vienna keep nodding her head uninterested.
Benita pay the waiter off and also collect the other man who is working for Karen’s phone. The waiter left after dropping the drugged drink.
“you’ve done a great job, don’t worry I will take care of everything from here” she said and also dismissed him to leave. Benita look at the message Karen sent to him angrily. When he left after hearing about the engagement, she thought he was worried about them and went to plan something about it but he was actually angry because of Vienna. He even went as far as trying to ruin things for them by taking such a foolish step. Her eyes became wet and she quickly stop herself from crying and close her eyes briefly then put on a big smile and went to meet everyone at the table.
“grandfather, Mr Clinton, Mrs Clinton and Alan I have something I want you all to see and its very important and urgent” she said to them. Everyone look at her and wondering what she is up to but still decide to believe and followed her with Kellie helping Alan, she took them to where Karen and Vienna are sitting.
Vienna keep checking the time and there are less than five minutes before the time is up then Karen suddenly hug her intimately and tightly so she wont be able to run away. Vienna was taken aback and when she regain her senses she tried hard to pull back from him but couldn’t and just then Benita entered together with everyone.
Karen was surprised as to why his man and the reporters are not with them then in the state of his confusion he loose his hand on Vienna and she quickly break free from his arm then stood up.
“grandfather, Alan I can explain” he said. Whatever it is that has gone wrong, he was still bent on using it to achieve his aim. Everyone of them were shocked and confused wondering what is happening and why Vienna is with Karen except Alan who cant see what’s going on but judging by the way everyone is silent, something must be wrong Kellie lean in to him and explain the situation to him.
“what do you need to explain? Actually grandfather I’ve keeping this to myself and don’t want to tell anybody because I don’t want to cause any problem in the family but Vienna has gone too far this time. Ever since she came back she has always been trying to hit on Karen and seduce him but I cant believe she is so shameless to do this even on her engagement” Benita said almost in tears like someone who has just been cheated. Vienna opened her mouth surprised, so these was their plan for her to make everyone see her as a bad woman.
“Benita what rubbish are you spitting from your mouth? You are lying and this is a great misunderstanding”
“yes grandfather, its not like that actually, Vienna and I have something going on but we…”
“have you gone mad? We don’t have anything going on at all” Vienna screamed all tensed.
“then how do you explain you hugging him here with no one around?” Benita asked angrily. Vienna look around and found that those who were with them in the room are all gone and there is no one around except them, she turn back to her and didn’t know how to reply. This is obviously their plan to ruin her and make grandfather and Alan discard her but she wont give them the chance this time.
