After that everyone clap and cheers to them then the party begin again. Vienna and Alan sat down as people came to toast to them and wish them well, Benita also came and hug her with a radiant smile. Even though their engagement is a threat to their plan but she still felt happy now and Karen will also drop every stupid thoughts about her. Vanessa and Nisan came to join them and wish them well, Vienna hug Nisan smiling at him then Alan put her to himself.

“you are Nisan right? I think we’ve met before” he said.

“yes at the restaurant” Nisan replied a hint of fear in his answer.

“i don’t think that’s it, we have before that haven't we? Guess you don’t want them to…”

“Mr Alan congratulations but Vanessa and I have to go now we’ll leave you guys alone” he cut in and drag Vanessa away with him despite her resistance.

“what was that about? Do you know each other somewhere before?” Vienna asked curiously.

“and why is he always everywhere is not like he’s your family is he?” he also asked and held her hand.

“and you also seems to like my hand a lot, you keep holding it”

“don’t be delusional, I just need to make everyone believe this” he replied and Vienna snatch her hand away from him.

“I want to go see my sister off and I also have something to discuss with someone who isn't a family” she said sarcastically and left with Alan’s voice trailing behind her not to go but she ignore him. She met them at the entrance about to leave and stop them.

“I thought you wouldn't come to see us off and will be busy with your fiance” Vanessa said immediately she saw her.

“cant you talk normally with me? Why do you look so irritated tonight? Do you have a fight before coming?” Vienna asked.

“what nonsense are you saying why on earth will I fight with him? The only person I’ve ever fought with is you” she looks like she was caught doing something bad.

“and also don’t change the topic. Have you gotten an explanation from him yet you always say that it will be the first thing you will ask him when next you see him” Vienna sighed not knowing how to answer her then Karen came to join them.

“your sister is needed inside” he said to Vanessa with a gentle smile and Vanessa seeing his aura reluctantly bade her bye and they left.

“what are you doing here?” she asked and start to walk back in.

“you don’t seems to have a answer to your sister’s question so I just thought to help you out”

“i don’t need your help and I did not ask for it so you can leave now”

“he really didn’t explain anything to you after he did that to your family and you just get engaged to him without getting an apology or explanation. I see your love for him is still strong like before if it was anybody else they wouldn't forgive so easily”

“that’s non of your business, whether I’ve forgiven him or not is my own problem and also everyone says you are very close, why are you not speaking up for him instead of finding fault in him?”

“no need to put it that way, I don’t mean any harm at all just surprised at the kind of love you have for him. So you eventually get your wish fulfilled after all these years” he said then pick two glass of wine from a waiter and offer her one. Vienna turn to him but not taking the glass from his hand.

“do you think I did something to the drink or have any plan? Come on everyone is here and looking at us and besides, I just took the drinks from the waiter in your presence there is no way I can do anything to it” he said and Vienna collect it from him and took a sip.

“am sure you remember that you promised to grant me one wish back in school then, can I use that wish now? Can you accompany me for thirty minutes” he asked gently.

“what on earth are you trying to do now? This is a very important occasion you wont want to show everyone your true self will you?”

“you already see me as someone evil just for a little mistake but you don’t think of anything about what Alan did to you”

“don’t compare the two together and what you did is not a little mistake” she replied.

“okay fine I wont and am so sorry for what I did back then and at the lunch, I was just under some pressure and lost my mind but I really don’t mean any harm today. Its my birthday today my real birthday” he said and Vienna remembered.

“you promised to always spend at least thirty minutes with me on my real birthday that’s why and since after today, we might not be able to talk to each other like this”

“thirty minutes you say but you already spent about ten minutes so you have twenty minutes left” she finally agreed.

“thank you so lets go I prepared a cake for us” he said and turn to go.

“don’t think about anything am not taking you to a private place or anything. There are quite a number of people there and also I choose it because I don’t want anybody to get to know about it” he explained and they both walk to another part of the hall with few people sitting around and talking.
