Chapter 56: Chapter 56

Aviena's POV

We stopped to just buy some fast food. After that, we will go straight to Baguio.

When River is in front of Camillia, he is always smiling but when his eyes are on mine, he is always glaring at me, he is ready to throw a pit. I can’t avoid shaking my head there.

We were on a trip when Levi called me asking for some revisions of our project. Well, I told him to call me if there's a problem with our project because we really only have a few staff there. I also want our project to be good.

“How's your flight. Does Camillia enjoying your stay in the Philippines now?” Levi asked me when we are already done talking about our project. It seems like it was also his break.

"She is," I said with a smile.

“Godfather Levi is asking about you, Camillia. Say hi,” I said to Camillia who immediately greeted her godfather. Instead of her godfather asking for a gift, she's the one who's asking for one. I was just laughing there. Levi was really nice. That one really loved the child because he often volunteered at orphanages in Amsterdam.

After the talk, I dropped the call. Soon after that, Camillia also fell asleep on me. She's also very tired of talking.

“What are you doing, Aviena?” River asked. I turned to him as I stroked Camillia's hair. He's tightening his grip on the handwheel now. He still looked angry as he looked at the road as if the road did something to harm him.

"Hmm, combing my daughter's hair?" I ask so his forehead furrowed even more.

“Are you joking with me?” he asked in a soft but strong voice. He seems like he doesn't want Camillia to wake up because of his irritation.

"What did I do?" I asked, frowning at him.

"Are you really asking that?" he asked.

"And what will I ask when you're getting mad at me when I haven't done anything?" I asked, raising an eyebrow at him. I could see him glaring at me.

“You’re married and already have a child… a family… And here you are talking with someone else? Who are you dating?” he asked, looking even more resentful.

“What are you talking about? I'm not dating anyone here. ” I don't know if I'll ever get used to him. What's wrong with this idiot? How can I date someone when my main focus is our child. He didn't speak so I just shook my head while looking outside in silence. Fortunately, we arrived in Baguio so we left immediately. Camillia woke up after that.

Marieta, who was also brought here by Ocean yesterday, greeted me excitedly.

"I already give a brief information to Grandma and Auntie but expect to hear some earful sermon from them." Marieta smiled at me so I couldn't help but pouted.

That's what we thought.

When they saw Camillia, they immediately went to her. They didn't even give me a sermon because of my son. Well, Camillia is Grandma’s first great-granddaughter. My other cousins still don't have a niece so they were immediately happy to have another child here at home.

“Holy cow! We have someone who has blue eyes in our family!” Aunt Puschia said excitedly as she looked at Camillia now. When I look at Ruby, she's also smiling while looking at my daughter. I know how she's feeling again. She probably misses her daughter now. I couldn’t help feeling sad for her but when she saw me looking at her, a smile immediately spread on her lips before she approached me and hugged me.

"Finally, you won't bear it on your own now, Big Sister!" She smilingly said at me.

“Was it really Big Sister? We are the ones who have a hard time hiding here!” Marieta frowned as she approached us. I laughed there because it's also true that they really have a hard time hiding that fact here at home.

"Congratulations to both of you," I said before giving my gift to them.

It's just money for them to start. They will be leaving an independent life now. That’s also what they want.

"Thank you, Big Sister…" they said while hugging me. I just laughed and messed up their hair.

I just thought I wouldn't be scolded but when everyone was tired, Auntie and Grandma immediately scolded me. While River was just eating beside me, there was still a trace of a smirk on his face as if he was glad I was being scolded today. I couldn't help but sigh as I listened to the endless sermon. Their treatment of me was really cold.

“You are the same as your sister. I don't know where that one is. She is not even coming home yet!” Grandma angrily said to me. I stopped drinking water because of that. It was as if I was being magnetized in my seat when they mentioned Big Sister. Yes, I never really told them anything about my sister and I don't really know where she is right now. I can feel my nervousness now. It seems that what happened then is coming back to my memories.

“Are you listening, Aviena? I know you're all old but you know we're still here for you, huh? You always remember that,” Grandma said.

"Yes, Grandma…" Ruby and Marieta just laughed while I was just nervous.

Even when we left Baguio to go to Cebu, I still felt anxious. We just use a chopper.

I became even quieter while riding there.

“What's wrong, Mama? Are you not feeling well?” Camillia asked me. I smiled at her before messing up her hair.

“Mama’s fine. I'm just enjoying myself with the view,” I said, smiling at her. She smiled at me and nodded as well.

When we finally got to the place I couldn’t help but flashback with the memories while just staring at the view. I just smiled to myself because we used to date in different places when we had time.

"It's pretty!" Camillia was about to jump in joy so I couldn't help but laugh as I looked at her.

"How long are we going to stay here, Papa?" Camillia asked her father who also turned to her with a smile.

"Hmm, how long do you want?" River asked so I couldn't help but look at him. I know how busy he is. He doesn’t just have an entertainment company. He’s also rocking the food company now so I know how many works he had.

"Hmm, 10 days!" Camillia said, showing her fingers.

"We can't, my love… Papa also has work to do," I said to Camillia so I could see River's frown.

"I'm on leave," he said as if he doesn't really care about his company because he wouldn't really run out of money. I couldn’t help but shake my head just before sighing.

"We also don't have any clothes with us," I told him.

"We can buy in the mall today," he said. That's what we really did. I don't even know how we ended up in the arcade instead of the clothes store. We also ended up in some water sports store.

"Do you like everything here?" River asked her. Camillia nodded and was excited to buy what she was going to buy but I think I know how things will work right now. I was not surprised when he bought the whole store.

Camillia was shocked and even looked at me. I just smiled at her and did nothing. I knew her father just really wanted to give her everything. And if I really can give everything to Camillia, I'll give it to her.

After we bought the equipment, we stayed at River's rest house in Cebu. He really has many rest houses so we don't have a problem with accommodation.

We also buy some food for ourselves because we're going to stay for that long. I'll just go home on Marieta and Ruby's graduation day if we'll really stay here for a while.

For our next day here in Cebu, River has already booked a Bohol countryside day tour. It's fine with me… I also want to relax my mind. It's been a while since I visited the countryside. Camillia and I were often in the city. If it's not a city, it's just on the beach.

“Are you going to order food or I'm just going to co—”

"Cook," he answered quickly so I looked at him. Is he running out of money now? I couldn’t help but smirk on my lips because of that.

I just shake my head before I started cooking. I just watched the father and daughter busy talking while solving a math puzzle there. That's a great bonding, I'm just looking at them and I'm dizzy. It's really good that our daughter inherited being brainy from him because if it's me, I just don't really know how she'll be able to live in the world.

When I was already done cooking, they immediately approached me as well. River helped me fix things. They're still talking about that puzzle they solved together so I just look back and forth at them. I'm glad Camillia already has someone to talk with about those things. Unlike when she asked me, I knew nothing to answer. I don't know why I wasn't blessed with such an IQ.

“How's school? Are you enjoying it?” River asked Camillia as we started eating.

“I’m enjoying it, Papa! I have a lot of friends and most of the time I receive some gifts from Mama's suitor,” Camillia said. I was a little shocked by what Camillia said.

"What suitor?" River asked with his eyes on me now. He's looking at me with a glare.

"I don't have a suitor, Camillia…" I said so Camillia shook her head.

“You have! You just don't entertain them but they like you. Even some of my parent's classmates like you. Some of my classmates are giving me food because they like you too. And of course, those teachers in higher grades want to date you too. They even give me chocolates to give you flowers when the valentines came, you just didn't want to take it, Mama. But I like it that way. I don't like any of them. I only have one father to begin with. And you only like him, right, Mama? ” I don’t know why my daughter is blabbering on now. Maybe, It was the effect of her father.

"Right, Mom?" Camillia asked me again when I didn't answer her question. When I looked at River, I could also see him raising an eyebrow at me. I met his blue eyes.

"Hmm, that's right… I only like you."
