Damnit she have already made her mother worried because she haven't called her the whole day and she have never stayed this long outside before.
She could just imagine her mother sitting on the couch in the living room tapping her feet with a worried look on her face and that was exactly how she met her mother when she opened the door and entered inside the house.
Her mother was seated on a single couch in the living room tapping her feet with a worried look on her face.
" Mom" Chloe called as she dropped her bag on the floor and walked to sit on the armrest of the couch her mother was sitting on , she wrapped her arms around her mother's shoulder
" You made me so worried Chloe why didn't you call and when I did why didn't you pick? What happened?" Her mother turned to her checking to see if she was alright.
" Am really sorry Mom we are not allowed to pick call at work"
" So you got the job?" Her mother asked as her worried expression vanished after hearing the reason she came late.
" Yes I did and they pay really well I started today, you know that five star hotel is very far from here and most times there is no train so I had to wait for almost two hours at the metro station"
" Come on honey it's late already go to the kitchen and eat your food is there " Her mother began to walk to the kitchen and Chloe followed her.
" Okay Mom and Alex extends her greetings"
" Alex?" Her mother asked as she brought out Chloe's food and gave it to her
" Thanks" Chloe collected the food and walked to a stool in the kitchen and sat on it "Yeah mommy Alex your talking buddy she was the one who help me get the job you haven't forgotten her have you?"
" Of course not how is my dear friend" her mother smiled as she remembered the talkative white girl.
Chloe rolled her eyes " she is fine she said she will come visit you one of this days
" Oh tell her I will be looking forward to seeing her
" Good night Mom" she called as her mother began to move to her room
" Good night honey" her mother said as she entered her room and closed the door with a firm click
Chloe stood up and picked up her bag from where she dropped it on the floor earlier on and walked to the kitchen and picked up her food from the counter. She sat on the stool and began to eat after eating she drank a full cup of water and walked to her room feeling so tired .
When she got to her room she fell on the bed face up and staring at the ceiling as she recounted everything that happened today, from getting a job to serving Cort Mason to being chased by two men her day was really eventful .
Would he still come again tomorrow? With that thought on her mind she fell asleep fully clothed and without taking off her shoes or taking her bath.
She dreamt about a blond haired man who kept winking and smiling at her

The next day at Mason's Corp, Cort sat in his office typing away on his keyboard when the door flew open, his hands froze on the keyboard he lifted his head and saw Katherine Hannay one of the top models for his company's design and his child hood friend walking towards him
He stood up quickly and spread his arms wide open for her, she walked into his embrace and he wrapped his arms around her.
" How was your trip " he asked releasing her from the hug
" It was good and bad" she said in a sweet voice
" How?" he asked laughing
" Well the shoot was good we rounded up earlier than supposed but they stressed me a lot and nearly killed me I fainted once" she answered
" Sorry baby"
" Come it's lunch time don't tell me that you are still working let's have lunch together"
" I have so many things to do" he protested
" I don't care I just got back and I need a company for lunch so you are going with me I already made reservations at five star hotel". Katherine said pouting pitifully
He paused as he heard her mention five star hotel and the image of a black waitress appeared before him, will she be on duty today ? He asked himself. Well he won't be able to find out unless he went there himself
" Fine allow me to grab my Jacket" he said and smiled if only she knew why he was going with her
Katherine saw him pause when she mentioned five star hotel and didn't know why but she was happy when he agreed to go with her anyways
Most times she would pretend to cry before he agrees to join her for lunch but only the mention of five star hotel today made him quickly agree to follow her maybe all she have to do was mention five star hotel in the future and he will have lunch with her, she smiled and hooked her hand around his as they exited his office.
Many model who were doing shoots for his product and his worker around turned to look at them as they walked pass. Some where drooling on him while the rest where looking at her jealously
" That's right bitches he is mine " she thought and smiled to herself
Immediately his p.a Arnold saw the both of them walk out of Cort office he approached them
" Mr Mason where are you going to?" He asked
" We are going to have lunch together and please do not follow us" Katherine told Arnorld
The both of them never like each other, Arnold didn't like her because she was rude and saucy while she does not like him because she saw him as an hindrance due to the fact that he was always trying to stop her from getting close to the love of my life Cort.
Arnold ignored her like she didn't even say anything to him " Mr Mason?"he called again looking directly at Cort and ignoring Katherine's presence
" we are going to go have lunch together you can go have your own lunch now" Cort told him and Katherine smiled triumphantly
Cort knew the two of them never got along with each other and up until today he was yet to figure out why and that was the reason why he asked Arnold to stay he didn't want them fighting during lunch and he also told Arnold to go have lunch so that he won't hold a grudge.
The both of them walked out of the company to the parking lot with their bodyguards behind them for protection. Since Katherine was a top model and Cort was an important person if news got out that they were together they would be hounded by the paparazzi who will kill to get just a tiny information about them.
"Where to sir?" Cort driver asked
"Five star hotel" Katherine answered, it was one of our bad habit to answer questions that were not thrown at her.
He held the car door open for her to get in first then got in after her and the driver drove off with the both of them bodyguards in the two cars following the car they were in.
The car came to a halt in front of five star hotel and a bodyguard quickly opened the door for the both of them to step down. Cort stepped down first before Katherine who after coming down wrapped her arm around his and the two of them worked into the hotel.
Everyone began to murmur upon seeing them, some people were literally bursting with excitement well it's not everyday you see a celebrity especially if the celebrity was Katherine the best model in the country and a very powerful man.
People were taking pictures of them and Katherine put on the billion dollar smile that has made her face really popular. Many fans wanted to get close to them but were stopped by their bodyguards. Even though the people who frequented five star hotel where rich they were not up to Katherine and Cort's status.
The hotels maitre'd respectfully approached them, greeted them and show them to the table reserved for them at the VIP lounge.
The maitre'd didn't even have to ask if they made reservation or not because he was the one that answered the phone when someone called to say the popular model and city sweetheart Katherine Hannay wanted to make reservation and had nearly dropped the phone in surprise but looking at her now made his body tremble in excitement and he fought so hard to maintain his professionalism.
"Welcome to five star hotel today Juliana and Chloe will be your server" they were important personalities that was why he wanted them to be served by two people.
" This place is nice and the food is good" Katherine said trying to start a conversation with him to draw his attention to her because she noticed that he was looking around like he was looking for someone or something ever since they walked inside
He only groaned in reply still looking around and searching for something she didn't know of.
"I met Elliot during the shoot at Hawaii and he asked of you" she deliberately mentioned his old friend's name to draw his attention she never met him during the shoot and even if she did he would never ask her about Cort because just like Arnold, Elliot disliked her she didn't care neither did she like him too.
