Chapter 98: Chapter 98

Andrea was stunned at first, but deep down she knew they couldn't keep their marriage a secret forever, and one day she would get fed up with living a double life.

The smile on Sean's face as he stared at her from up on the stage was so contagious that she couldn't help but smile back at him as she braced herself and rose to her feet.

The media attention immediately averted to her, and as they ran in her direction, Sean's bodyguards quickly restrained them from coming closer to Andrea as she carefully got up on stage.

Sean wrapped his arms around her waist, firmly reassuring her that everything was under control. He brought his lips closer to her ear and whispered, "Just say thank you."

She turned and faced him with a big smile on her face. Taking the microphone from him, she looked down at everyone present those who looked happy, confused, and the ones who couldn't conceal their anger as they glared at her.

"I would like to say thank you all for coming to support Sean and our family tonight and also to Sean, who has been my solid rock and has been there for me through thick and thin."

Everyone present applauded her as she returned the mic to Sean before coming down from the stage. As Sean continued to speak, Andrea left to use the restroom. She found it hard to believe that everyone knew her identity now, and by tomorrow, the news would have gone viral.

As she washed her hand while looking at herself in the mirror, a lady in a black cocktail dress approached her with a smile. "Who do we have here if not Sean's chosen one?"

Looking at her through the mirror, Andrea became alarmed. She swiftly turned around, and the lady in front of her was flashing a smile at her. "Sorry, who are you?" Andrea asked.

"Oh, I'm Melissa Morrison; I'm a friend of your husband," she said, extending her hand forward for a handshake.

Andrea looked at her one more time before shaking hands with her. "I'm Andrea, like Sean earlier introduced."

" Wow! I'm still finding everything hard to digest. I'm just glad Sean didn't end up with Carmen Wallner. How long have you two been married for? How did you meet Sean? Gosh! There must be something special about you that caught Mr. Wilson's attention." Melissa, who looked extremely excited, bombarded Andrea with tons of questions.

Andrea could only stare at her speechlessly. At first, she thought she was one of those delusional ladies who think they stand a chance with Sean, and now she was asking her personal questions like they had known one another for decades.

Her phone began to ring, and Andrea picked it up only to hear Sean's tensed voice on the line, "My love, where are you?"

"In the restroom, I'm coming," Andrea said and hung up. She forced a smile at Melisa, saying, "Excuse me," before walking out.

As she went back into the party, someone tapped her from behind. Turning around, she found Sean with a smile plastered on his face. "Looking for me?" he leaned in and kissed her lips.

"Come, I want you to meet my brother and his wife," he said, holding her hand and leading her in another direction.

She found a good-looking guy in a gray suit. He was talking to a lady, whom she assumed to be his wife. He had jet black hair that was tied in a low ponytail, those ocean blue eyes, thick brows, and plump pink lips.

" Alec!" Sean called out to him, and he instantly diverted his attention to them. The lady who had her back facing in their direction also turned around; she had dark brown, wavy hair like the color of her eyeballs and pouty lips. She gave a warm smile as she looked at Andrea and Sean, who were standing next to each other.

"Alec, Linda, meet Andrea, my wife, the one that I have been talking about. Darling, this is my cousin brother, and sister-in-law," he said, kissing Andrea's hand.

"It's nice finally meeting you, sister-in-law." Alec gave her a small smile, and it appeared to Andrea that he was just like Sean, who isn't good with people or words.

Linda surprisingly pulled her in for a brief hug before pulling away. "I'm so happy to meet my sister-in-law; trust me, we will be best friends in no time," she giggled softly.

Andrea was stunned at first; she didn't expect Linda to be this down to earth towards her after all; the lady in front of her is damn gorgeous and hot at the same time. "I'd like that." Andrea smiled, sweetly fixing her hair.

"We will leave you two to talk; we don't want to get our ears stuffed with boring business talks," Linda said with a mocking smile on her face, and Andrea couldn't help but chuckle softly.

"Come on, Andrea." Linda kissed Alec on the cheek before leaving with Andrea. As they walked to the side, Linda told her more about herself and what it was like to stay in London.

As they were speaking, Andrea spotted Mrs. Wilson and her friends discussing, and they kept looking in her direction, intentionally stealing glances at her.

They move in her direction while they speak, and she can clearly hear them from their standing point. "Yes, the one in the purple dress; she's pretty," one of the ladies commented.

Mrs. Wilson snorted loudly. "Pretty? Okay, let's assume she's pretty, like you claimed. What's the use of all that when she's just an illegitimate and inauspicious girl? I was told her family used to be rich, but when she came around, they went bankrupt. I just hope she will spare my naive son.

"Looking at her, I can tell she's just a vixen who's good at using her looks and body to seduce rich men. Danica, are you sure those kids are Sean's? What if she brought in another man's child?

"I also thought about those possibilities at first, but when I laid my eyes on those kids, I was certain they were my granddaughters. Thank goodness they look nothing like their vixen mother.

Linda, who was fed up with listening to the disgusting words that they were all spouting about Andrea, held her by the wrist and pulled her away. "Where are you taking me to?" Andrea demanded, pausing in her tracks.

"Would you stay here and listen to their nonsense, or would you rather come with me for some fun?"

Andrea looked into the crowd, where she found Sean busy talking to the guests while introducing them to Alec, his cousin. She sighs deeply; she knew he wouldn't even have time for her tonight. She looked back at Linda, who was staring at her with puppy eyes.

She shrugged her shoulders. "I'm in for some fun tonight," she chuckled softly. Both ladies left the mall and stood outside, calling for a cab driver.

"Where do you ladies think you are going in the middle of the event?"

Linda and Andrea turned around and, surprisingly, found Sean and Alec standing in front of them.

"How did you... I thought you two were," Andrea trailed off.

"Oh, you thought I wouldn't see you when you left? Trust me, no matter how busy I am, I'm always watching your every move." Sean wrapped his arms around her, making her heart flutter.

"Where are you two heading?" Alec rolled his eyes at Sean and decided to ask the main question that they had been wondering about.

"I'm taking Andrea home since Sean is busy tonight; she's having serious cramps," Linda said, her tone laced with worry.

"Is that true?" Sean looked down at her with worried-filled eyes as he caressed her cheeks.

Andrea smirked inwardly and nodded her head with pouty lips. "Yes, Linda is right. Ouch!" She winced in pain, placing a hand on her stomach.

"You should have told me this earlier. You should go home and get some rest. I will be back by 12 a.m. sharp."

Sean brought out his phone and called the driver; the next five minutes, a white Bentley pulled over in front of them. "The driver is here; you two should go; we will join you in a bit," Alec said, kissing Linda's lips.

"Take care of yourself for me," Sean whispered gently before kissing her passionately. As they broke the kiss, Andrea gave him a smile. She turned her head in another direction, and her gaze immediately met Jacob's, leaving her dumbfounded.

He had a dissappointing and confused look on his face as he stared at Andrea, who was wrapped in Sean's arms, before walking into the event with his assistant, Simon, beside him.

Andrea looked up at Sean with a nefarious gaze.

"It's time you let him out of the dark. It's gross seeing an older brother crushing on his little sister," Sean said nonchalantly.

"You know he has a crush on me?" Andrea widened her eyes in surprise. Sean nodded in response. "You should get some rest while I invite Jacob to our place tomorrow, where you can tell him everything."

She waved at Sean as she joined Linda in the back seat. On their way home, Linda asked the driver to take them to a bar instead, not too far from where Andrea lives, so they could manage on their own in case they ended up drunk.

"Linda, I don't think it's a good idea to get drunk; our husbands will get mad at us."

"Why do we have to let them dictate our lives? Moreover, it's just harmless fun," she said, sticking out her tongue cutely.

Andrea sighed in defeat and leaned into the seat, realizing she needed the drink more than anyone else. Firstly, Mrs. Wilson is in there ruining her image, and Jacob finally caught her with Sean making out.

They went into the bar and settled down by the counter. Linda ordered shots, which were brought to them. " Cheers!" Andrea exclaimed, raising her glass before downing the content.
