Chapter 99: Chapter 99
Andrea opened her eyes and found herself in a warm embrace. She titled her head and realized she was lying on Sean's chest. A sharp pain shot through her head as a result of last night's hangover. "Close the windows," she grumbled as the rays of sunlight directly cascaded on her face.
"You shouldn't have lied to me. What if something bad had happened to you? Didn't you hear the rumors that ladies are being taken advantage of at that bar?"Sean picked up the glass of water and pill from the nightstand.
She slowly sat up and squinted her eyes, trying to adjust to the brightness of the room. She took the glass of water and pill from Sean, who had been extending his hands towards her. "What is this?"
"Hangover pill. You know, it's your choice if you want to have it or not. Who am I to decide for you?" he said, crossing his arm over his chest.
Andrea swallowed the pill and set the glass of water on the nightstand after taking a big gulp. She then smiled sweetly at him as she managed to get on her feet. "How did you find me last night?" After hesitating for a while, she decided to ask. She really had no idea how she got home from the bar last night after drinking to stupor.
"I guess you wanted to call the driver, but instead you called me, and that's how I managed to find my drunk wife," he responded sarcastically.
Recalling last night's event, her cheeks flushed in embarrassment. "I'm sorry about last night."
Ignoring her, Sean made his way into the walk-in closet while Andrea followed him. "Are you mad at me? I'm sorry I lied to you last night; you know if I didn't lie, you wouldn't have let me.
"I understand, and I apologize for interfering in your affairs," Sean retorted dryly.
Andrea tried to stifle her laughter, but to no avail, as she finally cracked up. "Come on, don't you think I should be forgiven? have already learned my lesson." She then pouted her lips at him and said, "Look, I'm suffering from migraines."
Sean pulled her closer and wrapped his arms around her waist. "Are you okay? Did you get drunk because of what Mom said about you last night?"
Andrea released herself from his embrace with a bright smile. She then wrapped her arms around his neck. "Do you think mom's words had any effect on me last night? You know none of what she said about me; it's true, and as long as you believe I'm nothing like she terms me to be, then no one else's opinion matters."
"Are you sure you aren't feeling bad? It's okay if you want to vent or take your revenge on her." His tone was laced with concern as he stared deeply into her green eyes, unsure if she was telling the truth.
"Cheer up, okay? I'm already fond of Mom's behavior. Hopefully one day her perspectives about me will change and we will all get along," she said, locking her lips with his in a passionate kiss.
Letting go of his lips to catch her breath, she gently placed her forehead on his, her heart swelling with joy. "I love you so much," she whispered softly on his lips.
"I love you more, Andrea; you are my everything. You are the most important person in my life; without you, life is incomplete," he whispered back, capturing her soft, rosy lips.
"Let's get you cleaned up," he said, lifting her in a bridal style as he walked towards the bathroom.
After an hour of making out in the bathroom, the couple got ready to start their day. They went downstairs hand in hand, and as they descended the stairs, Andrea suddenly thought about Linda.
"What about Lin and Alec? Did Lin go home in that condition last night?" She asked, remembering Linda had also gotten drunk.
"Alec and I rushed down to the bar when you called last night, and they had to spend the night here," Sean explained, sipping on his coffee.
"We should call them down for breakfast; they must be hungry." Andrea got up from her seat, and Sean quickly stopped her. "They already left early this morning," he replied nonchalantly.
"Did he get mad at Lin? You know, the drinking competition was actually my idea," Andrea said as she played with her fingers awkwardly.
Sean held her hand and gave them a light squeeze. "It's fine; they will sort things out. I just want you to do one thing for me, which is stay away from Linda; she's a lot, and even Alec doesn't know how to handle her most of the time."
Upon hearing this, Andrea was stunned at first, but decided against going further by asking any other questions. She shrugged her shoulders and focused her attention on her meal.
"I managed to talk to Jacob last night." Before Sean could round up his sentence, Andrea cut in, "Did he agree to meet me up?" She asked, her bright, emerald-green eyes gleaming with hope.
Watching him nod his head in response, Andrea heaved a sigh of relief. Thinking about how Jacob had treated her with care and respect ever since they became friends made her feel even more guilty for keeping her relationship with Sean from him.
Additionally, she has been barely there for him and even turned down his invitation to movie night, all because of her envious and possessive husband.
"I really owe Jacob a lot. Right now, I feel like the worst friend and sister in the whole world. As long as he is willing to give me a chance, I will make up for all these years we have been apart." Andrea let out a low sigh as she stuffed her mouth with pancakes.
The dining room suddenly fell silent, and the atmosphere abruptly turned scorching hot for Andrea. She raised her head from her pancakes and found Sean glaring daggers at her.
She scoffed loudly. " Really? Why are you being shameless? Don't tell me you are jealous of your brother-in-law." Andrea teased him in a mocking tone.
"A brother-in-law who has romantic feelings for his sister is worth avoiding, don't you think so? Besides, what about me?"
Andrea batted her lashes innocently at him. "What does this have to do with you?" She furrowed her brows in confusion.
"My dear darling wife, I can't hold it in my pants any longer; it seems as though you have totally forgotten about little Sean lately."
Her cheeks immediately flushed from embarrassment. "That's because I was doing my thing of the month. I will make it up to you tonight; now can you quit acting narrow-minded?"She rolled her eyeballs at him.
Sean leaned in and kissed her lips briefly. "You're right. It's best you talk to Jacob Jones on your own; if I come with you, he might not welcome my presence. Do you want me to drop you off?" He offered it blatantly.
Andrea was dumbfounded by his sudden change of attitude, and she began to feel for him; he must have missed every part of her badly. "Don't worry, I will manage. On your way home, get some condoms; without those, you won't be seeing me naked tonight," she warned him sternly before going upstairs to get dressed.
Getting pregnant again was the last thing she wanted, whereas Pearl and Ruby were barely even a year old.
...
Due to Jacob's busy schedule, Andrea decided to meet him up at a nearby cafe close to JJ Entertainment, the same one he had taken her to previously.
She sat down patiently, waiting for Jacob's arrival, while pondering how to break the news to him. The sudden presence of Jacob pulled her out of her thoughts. She raised her head and flashed him a smile.
"Hi, please sit," she said politely. Jacob settled down in the seat contradictory to hers. At the moment, he was maintaining a deadpan expression like a kid deprived of his favorite candy.
This was Andrea's first time encountering such a situation with him, and she was completely clueless on how to make her approach. She fiddled with her fingers nervously, saying, "Please order whatever you want; I called you out today, so it's my treat."
"I will be very silly to decline a kind gesture from the wife to a billionaire," he said, forcing a smile as his eyes roamed around the menu.
"Firstly, I really want to apologize to you for keeping my relationship with Sean a secret from you and for the fact that he is the twins father. I know I should have come clean to you ever since I found out, but I couldn't bring myself to say it."
"Is that the reason you wanted to meet up? You shouldn't have bothered; you really don't owe me any sort of explanation. I get it; it's your private life," he said casually, still maintaining his fake smile to convince both himself and Andrea that he was alright.
"Thank goodness you aren't mad about it. I guess I must have been worried for no reason."Andrea chuckled softly. "I'm afraid that's not the only reason I wanted us to meet." Her expression suddenly turned serious.
Jacob raised his eyebrows, and a look of confusion marred his face. "What are you talking about?"
Andrea let out a sour laugh. "Actually, recently, I found out that Lachlan and Christina, who I had thought to be my parents all my life, turned out to be unrelated to me."
"Oh, I'm sorry about that, Andrea. It must have been terrifying to find out after 24 whole years. So how about your biological parents?"
"I also got to find out about my biological parents from my aunt. She told me that I happen to be the missing daughter of the Jones family." Andrea finally dropped the bombshell, leaving Jacob choking on his water.
