Chapter 97: Chapter 97
Andrea stared at her reflection in the full-length mirror in awe. A smile formed on her lips as she thought about how Sean would react when he sees her tonight.
"Thank you so much, girls." Andrea genuinely expressed her gratitude towards them.
"We are more than happy to make you up. I'm sure Mr. Wilson won't be able to take his eyes off you tonight," one of the girls, Brittany, complimented with a smile, and the others nodded with her words.
Andrea felt her cheeks begin to heat up as she listened to them. A loud knock was heard at the door, and Drew came in and walked over to Andrea.
"Ms. Graham, the boss sent me to pick you up."
Andrea nodded knowingly and grabbed her purse from Sean's desk. "Bye ladies," she waved at them with a smile and trailed behind Drew as they left the premises.
Outside of the company was a black, luxurious limousine. Drew opened the door for her, and Andrea got in with a puzzled look on her face. She still couldn't fathom Sean's reasons for doing all of that; after all, it wasn't as if anyone knew her identity as his wife.
Bringing out her phone from her purse, she sent him a message saying, "You shouldn't have bothered sending a limousine; you know it will only attract unnecessary attention to me, which is the last thing I want tonight."
"Shush baby," Sean replied immediately, making her roll her eyeballs. She put down her phone and decided to enjoy the ride; after all, it was her first time riding in a limousine.
The car screeched to a halt outside the entrance of the mall. Drew opened the door, and Andrea stepped out, paying attention to the opulent building that stood out from other buildings in the location. "Serenity Center," she read inwardly.
Drew, who was talking on the phone earlier, placed it back in his pocket and led her away from the media, who were waiting at the main entrance.
They went through the back of the building, where they found a door. Taking the elevator, they arrived at the top floor, which was a well-furnished, empty, high-end restaurant with mind-blowing intricate paintings on the wall.
Drew smiled politely at her before walking out. Andrea's gaze went to Sean, who was seated by the window, taking in deep breaths. Staring at his side profile as he gazed out of the window made her feel those butterflies in her stomach.
The sounds of her heels hitting the ground as she took slow steps towards him didn't fail to steal Sean's attention as he turned around and cast a glance at her. At first, it seemed as though he almost didn't recognize her before a smile took over his face.
Rising to his feet, he stared at the breathtaking woman in front of him. The purple satin off-shoulder dress with a sweetheart cut and a slit at the side fit her figure perfectly, like it was specially made for her. Her shoulder-length, inky black hair was in curls that hung above her shoulders.
"Aren't you done checking me out?" Andrea's voice snapped him out of his thoughts; ignoring her question, he held her hand and gave it a kiss.
"The moment I set my eyes on you, it was as if you had taken my breath away, my dear wife."
At his words, Andrea blushed shyly and lowered her gaze slightly, fixing her hair behind her ear. He held her hand, stopping her movements. He took his hand and delicately moved her hair from her forehead.
" Shy? Won't you tell me how I look today?" He teased her while holding her slim waist.
"You always look handsome, but today there's indeed a special kind of glow. You look very happy, and I'm starting to get concerned. Do you mind telling me what's on your mind?"
"Not just yet. It's a secret," he responded, picking up the box on the table, and only at that moment did Andrea take note of it.
Staring at her with love and affection in his eyes, Sean opened the box, and Andrea was left dumbfounded to see its contents.
"Sean, this is the..." She trailed off, her voice barely above a whisper.
"I know I can't get rid of the incident from your memory, but I just want you to know you deserve this more than anyone else, my love." He stood behind her and put the necklace around her neck. She felt goosebumps as Sean's finger brushed against her bare back while retracting them.
Looking down at her chest, Andrea had mixed emotions of sadness and joy all at the same time. She found it hard to believe that Sean gifted her the master piece jewelry, the same one that she was framed for stealing a year ago.
Even in a million years, she never thought she would ever have gotten the privilege of putting on something so expensive, and the fact that she used to sit and admire this same necklace back in her office. The daimonds and white pearls on the jewelry were perfect with her heels and purse.
All the memories came flooding into her mind, and she couldn't help but feel grateful and happy at how far she and Sean had come to love and understand each other in the past year and months.
She looked up at him with misty eyes, and Sean pulled her into a hug. "It's fine. You don't have to say anything." He whispered softly and then added, "You don't want to ruin your makeup."
Andrea let out a chuckle and broke the hug. "Really? Is that what you are concerned about?" She demanded with a grin on her face.
"Of course not. I was just worried that you might ruin your makeup with your tears and end up looking like a panda instead."
Andrea burst out laughing. "Seriously, Mr. Wilson, what do you actually want? Make me emotional or laugh.
"Both baby. Do you like this place?" Sean suddenly asked.
Andrea nodded, beaming a bright smile on her face. "Of course it's so beautiful; by the way, where did you get the name idea 'Serenity Center' from?" She asked remarkably.
Before Sean could reply to her, his phone began to ring. After listening to the caller for a while, Sean hung up. He abruptly got up and smoothed down his suit jacket. "It's time already. Are you sure you don't want to come downstairs with me?" He demanded with his eyebrows raised with enthusiasm.
She nodded her head virtuously. "I'm sure; you go down first, and I will come join you." She gave him a reassuring smile.
He leaned in, trying to kiss her, and Andrea hurriedly placed her palm on his lips. "Don't ruin my makeup," she mumbled, slowly withdrawing her hand.
Sean placed as many kisses he could offer at the nape of her neck; only after he felt content with himself did he take his leave.
Immediately Sean descended the stairs, the media quickly surrounded him, holding up their microphones to his face. The bright flashes from the cameras centered on him as they all threw tons of questions at him.
With a wave of hand, his bodyguards quickly blocked their path from coming near him. Sean walked up to the stage and took the mic. Even in the crowd of people seated, his gaze never left that special face.
"Dear distinguished guest," as Sean gave his speech, his gaze never left Andrea's face, and soon the guests began to observe this, and some young ladies even gave Andrea a dirty look each time they turned around to glance at her.
"Once again, I would like to thank each and every one of you for being here tonight. Your presence has made this occasion even more special for us, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with you in the future."
"Some of you may be wondering how I came up with the name 'Serenity Center' The word serenity represents peace and tranquility, which are qualities that my relationship with Andrea embodies. Whenever I think of a name for this brand, all I can think of is my wife, and I'm sure you can understand why."
"Today, I'd like to introduce you to my wonderful wife and the mother of our beautiful daughters. Her name is Andrea, and she's the one who made all of this possible."
"Darling, please come up," Sean said as he held out his hand while holding the microphone.
