Chapter 73: Chapter 73

On the drive to the airport, Andrea kept stealing glances at Sean as all the memories of last night resurfaced in her mind.

Her lips quirked up into a smile and she lowered her gaze to the diamond ring on her finger. Last night, she had realized she had made the right decision in agreeing to marry Sean - he had truly proved himself to be worthy of her love and trust.

Back when she was still with Philip, he would remain silent and never take her side or make any attempt to defend her whenever she got compared to Lisa.

She turned to look at Sean again and this time, their eyes met accidentally. Andrea quickly averted her gaze and looked out the window, sighing silently.

Even though Sean had defended her last night, she believed a part of him deep down believed all that his mother had said about her, which made her self-conscious around him.

"Let's see how much longer you can keep ignoring me," Sean said inwardly.

Finally, the car screeched to a halt outside the airport. Andrea and Sean put on their masks before stepping out of the car while the driver offloaded their belongings from the trunk.

"Peach, turn around and give me a hug," a familiar voice rang out from behind Andrea.

She turned around and found Elena with her arms wide open, a huge grin on her face. Beside her was Ryan, who was standing with his hands jammed in his pockets.

"Oh my goodness, Lena!" Andrea exclaimed as she rushed over to her and gave her a hug.

"I've missed you so much. How have you been?" Elena muttered as she tightened her grip around Andrea.

Sean coughed awkwardly, and Andrea disengaged from the hug. "I missed you too. What the hell are you doing here? Why didn't you inform me?" Andrea demanded.

"Mr. Wilson invited us to come on a trip to Paris. I'm not to be blamed - I badly wanted to tell you, but Mr. Wilson prohibited me from saying anything to you," Elena chuckled as she linked her arm with Ryan's.

"You're also coming?" Andrea's eyes went wide in disbelief. She turned around and cast a glance at Sean. "You're too much. Why didn't you tell me?" she protested with her arms crossed over her chest.

"Would it still be a surprise if I had informed you?" Sean said with his daughters in his arms. Andrea attempted to take Pearl from his arm, but her reaction left her stunned as she grabbed onto Sean's shirt as if her life depended on it.

Andrea pouted. "Thank goodness I have another daughter who would never forsake me for her father."

She tried her luck with Ruby, and she got the same response. Andrea sneered, "Sean, what did you do to my daughters?"

"The answer is quite simple - they prefer their handsome dad rather than their lazy mom."

"Lazy!" she repeated, pointing her index finger at her chest. "It's fine, when they get hungry, they will come look for their lazy mother to come feed them," she said sarcastically before grabbing Elena's arm.

"Ryan, I need to borrow my Lena from you. I hope you don't mind?" Andrea inquired, carving her brows at him.

Ryan flashed a smile. "Please carry on. I don't mind at all."

Sean shook his head, a small smile forming on his lips. He was glad that Elena's presence had lifted Andrea's spirits. "Don't mind her, your mom is carried away," he whispered to the twins in his arms.

Minutes passed by, and the plane finally took off. Both girls kept talking non-stop. Just then, a female flight attendant walked over to them with a tray of fruit juice, placing it on their tables. "Thank you," Andrea beamed a sweet smile at her.

"So I noticed something different earlier," Elena said, giggling mischievously.

Andrea let out a faint smile as she reached forward to grab the glass of juice. Suddenly, Elena gasped loudly. "Holy Molly!" she couldn't help but exclaim out loud while staring at Andrea's finger.

Her sudden scream almost made Andrea spill her juice on herself, but she was able to steady herself quickly. "Lena, what is it?" she demanded, with her brows snapped together.

Elena noticed Sean and Ryan were both looking at them, so she pulled Andrea closely by the arm. "Your ring. Did Mr. Wilson propose to you?" she whispered this into her ear.

Andrea froze and cast a look at her, not knowing what to say. If Elena was this excited about her getting engaged, how would she react if she found out that she already had her marriage certificate? Those were the thoughts running through her mind at that moment.

"Actually, there's something I've been meaning to tell you."
