Her lips curled into a smile. "What do you want me to believe?" she asked, speaking in a lower tone as she stared fixedly at him.

"I was only trying to get your undivided attention, and I guess I did a great job. Don't you think so?" He asked, kissing the tip of her nose and making her stomach flutter.

"You really did a great job," she mumbled.

Her eyes soften, and a warm smile spreads across their faces.

Sean finally let go of her, made his way to the nightstand, opened the second drawer, and brought out a white envelope before going back to her on the bed.

Sean cleared his throat slightly. "I was thinking I didn't get you any gifts after we got our marriage certificate, so I decided we should go on a trip to..."

Before he could round up his sentence, she snatched the envelope from his grip and tore it open, only to find photos of beautiful sights in Paris.

"You mean a trip to Paris?" she beamed sweetly as she raised her head to look at him.

Sean nodded. "Mhm. I looked up all these places online and learned that these are the top attractions. I hope you like it."

"Of course. I have always dreamt of going to Paris someday with my soulmate." She giggled happily, like a teenage girl talking to her crush.

"Then I guess it's more of a dream come true, you know, going to Paris with a good-looking and capable husband like me," Sean said with a smug look on his face.

Andrea rolled her eyes as she sighed silently. She had forgotten he was a narcissist and wouldn't stop at nothing to praise himself at the slightest opportunity.

"I want this trip to be extra special. I had always wanted to go to Paris with my other half someday, but I won't just be going with my other half but with our kids," she said, a smile forming on her lips at the thought of the trip.

Sean paused for a moment as realization dawned on him. It had slipped his mind that the kids were to come with them, which meant they had not just one company but two.

The thought of it began to make him regret his decision to travel, knowing he wouldn't be able to spend quality time with her as planned.

Andrea placed her head on his chest. "Mr. Wilson, it's going to be the kid's first trip. I want us to make memories out of it."

Sean nodded as he caressed her hair. "As you say, my queen, I need to round up my work at the company. I can't rely on that good-for-nothing, Sonny. Then we leave the day after tomorrow."

Andrea chuckled softly and remained silent for a while before saying, "Actually, after giving it much thought, I'm ready to meet your family, and I want to do it before we go on the trip." She said that and looked up at him to see his expression.

"Are you sure about this?" Sean asked, arching his brows at her. "I don't want you to feel any sort of pressure. We can meet them whenever you are ready."

Andrea nodded with her lips pursed. "I'm sure," she muttered.

"Then I'll inform them about our visit," he said, placing a kiss on her lips.

He walked to the balcony and made a phone call. "Hey Dad, how are you doing?" Sean said immediately the call got connected.

"Well, my health is stable. You don't have to worry about me. Instead, you should ask about your mother."

"What about her?"

"Ever since she found out about your kids and their mother, she has been nagging non-stop, plus you refused to pick up her calls."

"As long as you totally ignore her, she will keep shut, and if she doesn't, make her take her med. I don't want to be called when she ends up suffering from a panic attack," Sean said sternly.

Mr. Wilson couldn't help but burst into laughter. "I have the feeling you know her better than I do. Alright, I'll do just that, and I will also inform her about your coming, and don't worry, I will make sure she's on her best behavior.

"Great! I will hang up now."

Andrea stared at her watch impatiently while drumming her fingers on the table. "Oh, Jace, hurry up. How long will it take you to eat?" She couldn't help but mumble.

Sean had wanted to accompany her to the mall, but she refused the idea immediately. She didn't want to be seen in public with him, as that would only attract attention to them and spark all sorts of rumors about her. She didn't even dare to think about what might come next.

Jace, who was busy chatting on his phone, raised his head and looked at her. "Why the rush? Be patient!"

She rolled her eyes. "Why the rush? I have two infants to take care of; I need to pack for our trip, and I came here to shop for my in-laws and not to watch you eat leisurely."

Jace blinked rapidly and slowly nodded his head. "You're right! So have you decided what you want to get for his parents?"

Andrea let out a loud sigh. "Sean is so useless! I asked him what his parents were into, and he said he doesn't have any idea."

"Then it shouldn't matter. They should know their son is useless, so it's not your fault if they hate the gift at the end of the day," Jace said nonchalantly, lifting his shoulder in a half shrug.

Andrea placed her palm on her forehead. '' For your information, you are not helping matters. Just focus on your meal and be quiet," she said in a disturbed tone.

Jace remained silent, focusing his gaze back on his phone, making Andrea wonder who he was chatting with. "Why do you look so serious? Are you in a relationship?" She waggled her brows playfully at him.

He snorted loudly. "What do I need a girlfriend for? Ladies these days are nothing but gold diggers. I refuse to be a victim," he said nonchalantly.

Andrea snickered scornfully. "I will be here to see what happens next. By the way, how is college? Made any friends yet?"

Jace raised his brows in a casual manner. "Just a few guys hanging around me," he said boastfully.

Andrea clicked her tongue. " Narcissist! No wonder he never got along with Sean. They are the same thing after all," she thought to herself inwardly.

She rolled her eyes as she browsed through her phone. Her eyes lit up as an idea flashed through her mind. "Come on, let's go. I think I know what to get," she pulled him up from the seat.

Jace let out a loud sigh as he began to regret his decision to escort her to get gifts for her in-laws.
