Chapter 69: Chapter 69
Chapter 69: How can I let you go?
Hannah was at loss for words as she found herself being handcuffed and pulled away. "I didn't do it; please let me go." She finally found her voice and cried out until the echo of her voice vanished into the air.
All the people who were present couldn't help but whisper among themselves. Soon, the news of Hannah's alleged murder of Kylie spread like wildfire in no time, along with videos of her getting arrested in JJ Entertainment, which surfaced online.
.........
"Ma'am, it smells so nice. I'm sure Sir will like it." The head chef couldn't stop praising her skills. He had only explained to her how to make the dish, but the result left him amazed. It not only looked good but tasted incomparable than the ones he had been making for the past few years.
Andrea laughed. "Stop teasing me like this. You don't have to make me feel good," she said with an evident grin as she took off the apron. She had made this dish especially for Sean to apologize to him for meeting up with Jacob without informing him.
She could hear Sean's voice speaking to the housekeeper. She emerged from the kitchen and proceeded into the sitting room, where she found him playing with Pearl and Ruby.
Andrew smiled sweetly as she plopped down on the couch beside him. "You're back," she said, turning her head to look at him.
"Mhm," Sean uttered casually.
"Is everything okay?" She arched her brows, questioning him.
"Everything is fine with me," he said as he handed the kids to her before going upstairs.
Andrea's brows snapped together as she pursed her lips. She left the kids with Agnes and quietly trailed behind him upstairs till they arrived at the room. "Can you tell me what's wrong? You don't look okay to me," she said as she moved closer to him.
Sean ignored her and yanked his tie from his neck. He unbuttoned his shirt in frustration and removed it roughly, exposing his toned chest and well-built abs. Andrea couldn't help but stare, as the sight of his physique was mesmerizing.
Her cheeks flushed with embarrassment, but she couldn't resist the urge to move closer to him. She wrapped her arms around his chest from behind and asked in a curious tone, "What's wrong?"
Sean paused momentarily, taking her hands away from his body, and turned around, crossing his arms over his chest. "Why do you care? It's not as if you ever listen to me anyway," he retorted, his tone laced with frustration.
Andrea's heart sank as she realized Sean had found out about her meeting with Jacob at the cafe. She pressed her lips together, staring straight at him, seeing the evident anger in his eyes.
"You found out?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. "I was going to tell you anyway. I didn't know you were going to find out before I got the chance to tell you myself."
"Andrea, what's going on?" Sean asked, his voice rising with frustration. "Do you know why I'm mad at you right now? It's because you don't trust me."
Andrea looked confused. "Huh? You're not mad that I met up with Jacob?"
Sean let out a deep breath. "It's not about Jacob," he said. "It's about trust. You could have told me instead of keeping it from me. It made me feel like a horrible person who's trying to limit your freedom. You can see anyone you like, but you must always inform me before you see Jacob."
Andrea's emerald eyes brightened with understanding. "I'm really sorry for not telling you," she said, hugging him tightly. Sean did not push her away this time. He felt his body relax and his expression soften.
"I'm just upset that I had to find out from someone else," Sean muttered under his breath as he stroked Andrea's hair gingerly.
" Who told you? " she asked raising her head to look at him.
Sean paused briefly, wondering what to say to her. " Someone unimportant,'
She gently cupped his cheeks with her small hand before kissing his lips. "Don't get mad at me. I even made you dinner myself," she whispered, her lips pressing gently against his.
Watching her long, curly lashes flutter like butterfly wings as he stared down at her made his throat immediately run dry.
He raised her chin slightly and captured her lips in a fiery kiss; it was rough yet passionate, while his hands ran around her body. Andrea could sense that things were progressing to the next step; she knew it would never just remain with a kiss forever.
As she snapped out of her thoughts, she realized she was lying on the bed with Sean on top of her. His hands traveled to the zipper of her dress, pulling it down completely. She tilted her head to avoid looking into his eyes. Sean placed wet kisses on the nape of her neck, making a moan escape her lips.
Deep inside of her, she didn't want to get intimate with him yet. She wanted their first time as a couple to be special and memorable. She could have pushed him off, ending the whole thing, but she couldn't bear to refuse him with the thought that he might misunderstand her reasons for depriving him of his rights.
She shut her eyes tightly, letting him have his way. Sean was quite amazed at how her body was responding to his every touch. He couldn't help but smile as he felt proud of himself.
Just then, the loud sound of someone knocking on the door interrupted the moment. "Sis, come and control your daughter. Her noise is disturbing my sleep," Jace yelled furiously from the outside while hitting the door.
Andrea came back to her senses instantly and looked at Sean with glossy eyes for a second before pushing him off. She hurriedly rushed over to the door and unlocked it. 'I'm so sorry,' she apologized in a low tone.
"Just do it quickly," Jace said in an irritated tone before strolling back to his room.
Andrea heaved a sigh of relief before she could turn around. She felt an arm snake around her waist. "That little rascal; thinks he owns the house now," Sean muttered, nibbling on her earlobe.
Her heartbeat accelerated faster as her breath turned rapid at once. "Sean, I should go check up on what the kids are up to," she said quietly.
He pulled up the zipper of her dress. "I will go take a shower and come down for dinner after all; you made it specially for me," he said calmly. She only turned around when she heard his footsteps further away. "Thank goodness!" She mumbled before leaving the room.
It was already the middle of the night when she returned to the room tiredly. Her eyelids were so heavy that she could barely keep her eyes open. She yawned as she climbed on her side of the bed and covered herself in the sheets beside Sean.
"Aren't you asleep yet? It's so late," she said to Sean in a drowsy voice.
"I wanted to speak to you, but it seems we will talk some other time," he said before switching off the lamp light on the nightstand and closing his eyes.
"Mhm-hm" was the last word she could utter before drifting off to sleep.
*******
It was a Sunday morning, and there was nothing to do at the company. Sean decided to spend the entire day at home with Andrea and the kids. He was quite glad he would get to see her face all day.
Sean came into the room holding a glass of water. " Here," he passed it to Andrea while stylishly peeking at her phone.
"Aren't you going to the office today?" She asked, her gaze still glued to her phone.
"No. Why are you so interested in this case?" His forehead puckered as he sat beside her on the bed.
Andrea chuckled softly. "Not any longer, because the real culprit has finally been caught. The lady, Hannah, is so vile; how could she murder her childhood friend who helped her when she was in despair?" a sigh escaped her lips.
She remained silient for a moment before saying, "I heard the big shot, Kylie never kept anything from her best friend, who is also her assistant, including the fact that she was untouched. I believe no one should die the way Kylie did. Do you know she was raped by men and was suffocated to death afterwards? What a poor thing!"
"Hey, has anyone ever told you that you talk way too much like a chatterbox? You should have water quickly; your throat must be dry from that speech you just delivered," he said with a mischievous smile on his lips.
Andrea hissed and pouted her lips. She attempted to leave, but Sean managed to pin her down quickly. "Are you mad at me just because I decided to be truthful to you? Mhm," he said, pulling her nose, and Andrea scrunched up her face, the strands of her hair covering her eyes.
She stylishly picked up the pillow and swiftly hit him on the head, resulting in Sean letting go of her. "How dare you call me a chatterbox? From now on, I won't speak to you, and you will be the one to beg me to," she said while crossing her arm over her chest.
A smirk settled on his lips. "Yes, you should do that. I will really appreciate it."
Andrea's pupil's dilated. She made to leave the room again, and Sean pressed her down on the bed, giving her no chance but to succumb to him.
"Let me go!" She struggled to break free from his hold.
"How can I let you go? If I do, you will take my light with you, leaving me in complete darkness and despair," he said, staring into her emerald eyes tenderly. His hand slowly went down to hers, caressing it gently. His gaze not leaving her face, he held up her hand and placed a light kiss on it. "I love you just the way you are wifey," he leaned in and whispered this into her ear.
