Chapter 57: Chapter 57
Chapter 57: Aren't you ashamed?
Andrea stared at him as if trying to read his thoughts. Seeing this, Sean became nervous for fear that she might not believe his words.
His lips parted slightly, and before he could come up with his words, she leaned in and gave him a soft kiss on the lips. "Have you gotten your answer?" She whispered into his ear.
Her cheeks flushed red as she withdrew from him.
Sean's lips curled up into a smile. They stared at each other for a while longer before realising they had been sitting in the car.
"It's late; we should get home," Sean said as he cleared his throat slightly.
Andrea nodded and put on her baseball cap before getting out of the car. She turned to the passenger seat and opened the door, gesturing for Sean to come out.
He made his way out with a puzzled look. "What happened? Is something wrong with the car? I told that fool Drew to check it properly. I guess I will be deducting from his salary," Sean said furiously as he brought out his phone to arrange for a car.
"No, no, that's not it," she smiled as she handed the keys to him.
"I'm very tired. You should drive," she winked at him. She was about to get into the front passenger seat when Sean stopped her.
"Don't you think I should be rewarded first?" He leaned in and sucked on her lower lip slowly as his arm snaked around her waist.
Andrea pushed him away. "What if someone sees us here?" she smiled as she slapped him on the arm before getting into the car.
Sean's lips curled into a small smile as he also got in and drove away.
Carmen, who had been seeing everything unfold from a distance, felt her heart tighten as her eyes turned glossy with tears. Her knees went weak, and she almost fell to the ground.
She was so devastated that she burst out in tears. "Why did you have to do this?" She sniffled as more tears trickled down her cheeks.
She wished she never got to witness Sean making out with some other lady.
……..
After getting into her room, Andrea shut the door and walked to the dressing table. She stared at her reflection, noticing her rosy cheeks made her blush even harder. She chuckled as she palmed her face shyly, recalling the passionate kiss she shared with Sean before coming upstairs.
She took her shower and put on her pajamas before going to check on the babies. Arriving there, she found Sean giving the baby her bottle.
Seeing this sight made her feel lucky for the first time in years; she sneakily took a picture of it before making her way in.
Agnes flashed a smile. "Ma'am, I thought you were asleep."
"No, I wasn't; you can leave," Andrea said, and she nodded, giving them room to discuss.
"Why are you here? It's quite late," Andrea said in a bemusing tone.
"I came to check on the kids, and then I realized Ruby was awake."
Andrea burst into laughter as she clasped her stomach. "That's not Ruby; you mean Pearl," she said, sitting beside him.
Sean felt embarrassed as he lowered his gaze. "I was just kidding with you. I wanted to know if you could differentiate them as their mother.”
Andrea rolled her eyes. "You don't have to pretend. I don't actually blame you; they look quite identical. I wonder how they will look when they grow up.”
"They'd take my looks and their mother's cuteness and smarts."
Andrea laughed so hard that Ruby woke up from sleep.
"Look what you have done!" Sean pointed at Ruby, and Andrea widened her eyes. For a minute, she felt like biting her tongue off.
"Aww, Ruby, I'm so sorry for disturbing your nap," Andrea said coquettishly as she picked her up.
"Let's take them to my room. I want to be with the babies."
Arriving at the room, she glanced at the wall clock and realised it was already 12 a.m: "Mr. Wilson, you should go to sleep; it's very late. Don't worry, I will put Ruby to sleep.
"Are you sure?" You look much tireder than I am."
"I have been doing this for the past few months; it's no big deal. Besides, you need to go to the office tomorrow; please get some sleep and stop worrying about me."
"Alright then. Goodnight," he said, placing a kiss on her forehead before taking his leave.
********
Andrea slowly opened her eyes, and from the rays of sunshine pouring into the room, she knew it was dawn again. She scrunched up her face as she rubbed her eyes, trying to adjust to the luminous light in the room.
She sat up and was about to put on her slippers when suddenly a strong force pulled her to his chest.
Andrea let out a shriek at the sudden change of events, her body trembling in fear.
"Relax, it's just me," Sean said in a husky voice and his warm breath brushing her ear.
"What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be at the office?" She asked as she turned her body around, facing him.
"It's Saturday; I only have a couple of things to take care of at the office. Let's talk about what you did last night.”
Andrea blinked rapidly, trying to recall everything that took place last night. "What are you talking about? Last night I told you I could put Ruby to sleep, and you should also go to sleep, right?”
"What happened there after?" he smiled, pulling her nose.
Andrea pouted her lips as she stared at him. "I don't remember,"
"That's because you fell asleep while trying to put Ruby to sleep; luckily, I came to check up on you again; if I was a minute late, you would have dropped her."
" Is she alright?" Andrea widened her eyes in shock.
"Relax. I made sure I put her to sleep before going to bed."
"You mean my bed?" She rolled her eyes skyward.
"That's not the issue; the matter on the ground is, don't you think you should be punished for being negligent?" He said, caressing her face with a smug smile on his face.
Andrea's gaze flickered, and she quickly got out of bed before he could try to make any move on her.
"You should also be punished for lying on my bed without my consent." She crossed her arm over her chest.
"You know, I always thought I had an attitude, but not until I met you, the queen," said Sean as he sat up on the bed.
"Then why do you like me?" She questioned him as she placed her hands on her waist.
"Because of this attitude of yours," he said as he walked over to her.
"I started feeling something for you before I found out you were the lady I met that night. Anyone who usually meets me always feels intimidated, but you were very bold and talked back at me every time," he pulled her cheeks.
Andrea wrapped her arm around his neck. "Oh, really? You love it when I'm all cocky and bossy? Huh?" she said, her fingers trailing down to his lips.
Sean lowered his head, and before their lips could meet, the sounds of his phone ringing interrupted the moment.
Andrea let go of him and went into the bathroom. Sean glanced at the caller ID with an irritated look. "What is it? "he asked unceremoniously.
"Last night, you left without saying a word. Anyway, your car is in my possession," Carmen said indifferently.
"I will send Drew to get it," Sean said, and he hung up immediately, sparing her no chance to speak.
………..
A blue Benz came to a halt outside Shimmers Company. Sean got out, and before he could proceed in, he spotted Philip standing outside the entrance with his head lowered.
Philip, who noticed the sounds of footsteps approaching him, raised his head and found Sean coming towards him.
He placed his hand in his pocket and moved closer, staring at Sean momentarily. "I am not here to yarn or fight you. I will go straight to the point. I see Andrea and you are having something serious going on, but let me tell you, the day you hurt her, I will make sure you pay dearly, and I won't hesitate to take her from you.”
"Aren't you ashamed? Take her from me? Does Andrea look like an item or a piece of rag you can make use of, dump, and come back to again to clean up your mess? You are a disgrace to all men out there."
Sean said in a calm manner that one would think he was preaching the word of God to Philip.
He was about to walk away when he stopped again. "And oh, watch your filthy mouth; who the heck do you think you are to spit out this thrash to me? I'd advise you to go back to your wife and kid rather than wasting your time in New York in hopes you will get Andrea. I won't even give you the opportunity to take a glimpse of her. You should know by now that Andrea is way above your standard; my woman is no ordinary lady."
Sean snickered and walked away with his guards behind him.
Philip watched his retracting back with his fists balled tightly and his knuckles turning white. He knew deep down that Andrea was way above his standards now that she was Sean's woman. He would spoil her and give her everything she ever desired, unlike him, who went ahead and broke her heart all because of his selfish motives.
"I hope you marked that idiot's face. Make sure he never comes to this premises again. The day he does, just prepare to lose your jobs," Sean said furiously to his guards.
"Yes, sir," they chorused.
While at the Wallner's Mansion, Drew watched Carmen walk towards him with Sean's car keys. Her expression was grave as she stood right before him.
"Hello, Ms. Carmen, Is everything perhaps alright with you?" Drew asked, staring at her strangely.
Carmen burst into tears. "What can I say? Your boss is cheating on me, right?
Drew was dumbfounded for a while before regaining himself. He was no fool; even though Sean never disclosed his relationship with Andrea to him, he knew Sean was having a serious relationship with her, and the twins were that of Sean.
He was also aware that his boss would never buy a house and a car for a random stranger. As far as he can remember, Sean isn't a philanthropist.
"Tell me, Drew; I'm sure you know. Please tell me who she is," Carmen said as she wailed even louder.
Drew was so baffled by her sudden outburst. He became nervous and didn't know how to defend his boss. As long as Carmen knew there was another woman in Sean's life, there must have been something she had seen.
"Stop crying, Ms. Carmen; I never wanted to keep you in the dark. I will tell you everything you need to know," Drew suddenly voiced out, his expression turning severe.
