Chapter 28: Happy Birthday Andrea

WESTSIDE AVENUE, AMERICA

Doll face got up from the bed and quickly slipped her clothes on. She was about to walk out when a masculine fibrous hand gripped her arm tightly ” Dolly, where are you going to? ” a husky voice sounded across the dimmed bedroom.

Doll face chuckled and obtained herself from his grip ” oh sweetheart, I was just going to drink some wine and I didn't want to disturb you, you know it was so strenuous last night ” she said in a seductive voice.

She uncovered the French window and the warm beam of light ascended all over the room flooding it with its glow.

She swayed her hips temptingly as she gracefully walked over to the table and picked up a glass, she opened the excess bottle of wine and poured herself a cup.

Director Dave got out of the bed and hugged her closely from behind, his broad gut pressing against her back.

She chuckled and freed herself, she walked over to the couch and took a seat while crossing her legs.

” So I heard the next season of The Capo's Captive is coming up. I was hoping you can make me the lead character of the movie,” she said as she swayed her glass of wine.

Director Dave chuckled in his brawny voice ” Dolly Dolly Dolly. I can do anything for you but this isn't possible. Mr Jones has already given us instructions and he wants Kylie to be the lead character for the movie, ”

She abruptly rose to her feet ” What the heck! Why didn't you tell me all this earlier, ” she said through gritted teeth.

” How was I supposed to know that was the reason you wanted us to meet up? I had thought maybe you missed me and that's why you told me you were coming over,” Director Dave trailed his hand to her thigh.

She smacked his hands away roughly ” I Doll Face misses you? You think men are scarce out there and I can't get any guy I want,”

Director Dave sneered ” You couldn't get Mr Jones so don't try and feel too highly of yourself. Look I can easily get you the role of a side character if that is fine with you,”

” Just shut your mouth up, you want me Doll face to act the role of a stupid side character? You must be really insane. You claimed you love me and you couldn't even secure the lead role of this drama. Okay I want you to call Jacob and inform him I'm a better fit for this role than Kylie can ever be. Do it now,” she yelled in tears.

” Look you better stop screaming and quiet down. There's nothing I can do about it. Mr Jones has already given his orders during the meeting and you know he never goes back on his words. I'm just a mere director not his Dad that can boss him around. It's either you take the side character or leave it, he chuckled codly.

Her tears fell freely as she let out a bitter laugh. She thwacked her hands clamorously ”Oh wow, after I gave you my Innocence this is all I get in return. I was a newbie back then when I started working for the industry and you took advantage of my simplicity. You are a beast and all the newbies should stay away from a disgusting pervert like you,” with that said she picked up her bag to leave.

He cackled loudly ” Just look at yourself Lily, who the hell do you think you are? You are nothing in the industry. Those days when you were feeling favoured and glamorous are all over. The sooner you wake up from La-La land the better it will be for you,”

” You will pay for everything you old hag,” she said and hurried out of the house.

JJ ENTERTAINMENT

Assistant Simon sauntered in and found Jacob in deep thoughts. He smiled as he took a seat opposite him ” Sir, what are you thinking about? ”

Jacob shook his thoughts away immediately and turned to Simon ” oh what were you saying? ”

” I wanted to remind you that you are supposed to go check up on Kylie at the hospital,” Assistant Simon said.

” Oh yeah, I will ask someone to do that for me. I won't be able to make it there,”

Assistant Simon frowned slightly ” Did something important come up? ”

” Yes, tomorrow is a very important day. I need to get a special gift for Andrea,” Jacob said nonchalantly.

” You mean, wait sir, are you flying to Australia,” Simon asked surprisingly.

Jacob Jones gave him a dirty look ” Yes and you are coming with me first thing tomorrow, ”

” What do you think I should get her? What does she like though? ” Jacob Jones muttered as he squinted his eyes.

SOUTHSONG STREET, AUSTRALIA

It was just 12 in the morning, Andrea got up to have a glass of water. She switches on the bedside lamp only to find the jug empty.

” Come on, I don't want to go downstairs” she buried her face into the fuzzy pillow.

She got up reluctantly and headed downstairs ” Babies, please just come out your mother is so tired. I promise I won't go to clubs again, ” she grumbled as she climbed downstairs.

Andrea went into the kitchen and poured herself a glass of water and just then she heard the doorbell ring ” Goodness! Who is it at this time of the morning? '' she murmured.

She opened the door only to welcome an empty hallway and a basket with balloons of the different shapes tied at the edges. She got out of the house but couldn't find anyone around. Andrea shrugged her shoulders and picked up the card from the basket before going back into the house.

” Happiest Birthday Andrea, I hope your life will be filled with nothing but bundles of joy. Look outside your window ” she read out loud and she smiled.

She walked to the window, but couldn't find anything or anyone unusual ” Wow! I got pranked on my birthday. This must be Elena's doing,” she shook her head in disappointment.

She was about to leave when her eyes caught sight of a colourful thing, it moved faster than the speed of light, before she could get a good glimpse of it. Just then fireworks began to explode on the sky. A smile settled on her lips as she watched this beautiful sight and how they came in different shapes and form.

” Happy Birthday Andrea,” she read out loud and couldn't help but laugh.

” Wow! this is so beautiful and cute,” she beamed sweetly.

It went on for some minutes before it stopped, she picked up her phone and gave Elena a call.

” Okay you really did put a smile on my face, this is the best gift you have given me so far,” Andrea said as she burst into laughter.

” Andrea I don't understand? What gift are you talking about? I'm currently at the hospital,”

She could greatly sense the confusion in Elena's voice. ” You mean you weren't the one who did the fireworks show? ”

” Fireworks show? You mean someone did a fireworks show for you? ” Elena said excitedly.
