Chapter 27: Indeed she's quite unfortunate
Assistant Mila chased after her ” Wait! Doll face! You need to calm down,”
Doll face turned around and shot her a deadly glare ” Never tell me to come down ever again who the hell do you think you are? Just get away from me you are pissing me off ”
Assistant Mila stopped in her tracks ” okay but please drive carefully, ” she yelled as she watched her walk over to her Bentley.
Doll face stepped on the accelerator furiously, not minding the fact that the car was moving at a very high speed, the pictures of Kylie leaning on Jacob Jones kept flashing across her mind and she abruptly stepped on the brakes and the car screech to a halt ” Kylie I promise to put you in your place,” she said through gritted teeth.
She picked up her phone from her purse and swiftly dialled a number and it got connected immediately ” Hey, I would love to meet up with you, ”
A deep husky voice could be heard on the other end of the line ” Oh my Dolly, let's meet up at my place tomorrow,”
” Are you crazy? I can't meet up with you at your place. Did you forget so soon that I am a public figure if the paparazzi finds us together that will be the end of my career ”
He sneered ” That was the Doll face of then. It wouldn't make a difference even if the paparazzi captures the both of us together. I bet there are people who have long forgotten about you. Kylie has taken your place,” he chuckled sarcastically.
Doll face bit her lip in anger ” Fine, I need your help. I will meet you at your place tomorrow, ”
” Great, I'm looking forward to meeting you Dolly, ” he chuckled and hung up.
” Just you watch how things work in my favour Kylie, Jacob is mine and mine alone,” she muttered before restarting the car's engine.
SOUTHSONG STREET, AUSTRALIA
Elena was about to head out of the house and just then she heard Andrea's voice from behind.
" Lena, you have been skipping breakfast too often wouldn't this affect your health? You are a nurse yet you can't even take good care of yourself and you want others to count on you,” Andrea snorted loudly.
” Goodness! Andrea, is this why you woke up so early? Gosh! Don't worry about me, I will eat something once I get to work,”Elena couldn't help but marvel at her actions.
” uh-uh, I won't let you off today. At least let me make you a cup of coffee,” Andrea smiled sweetly as she walked over to the kitchen counter.
Elena almost cried ” oh my poor Andrea! You are already acting like a responsible mother or am I your tool for practising your rights,” she muttered under her breath.
” What did you say? ” Andrea snapped her fingers at her front.
Elena itched her scalp and quickly shook her head ” it's nothing really, I was just wondering if Alexa is already at work,” she chuckled softly.
Before Andrea could reply the sounds of the doorbell interrupted their merry conversation.
” Who is it? ” Elena shrugged her shoulders as she got up from the chair.
She checked through the peephole and a smile crept on her face, she opened up briskly and Sean came into sight.
” Good Morning Mr Wilson,” Elena greeted with a smile and he only nodded slightly.
” You must be here to see Andrea, she's in the kitchen” she pointed to the left and he nodded walking away.
” This is my perfect opportunity to escape from Andrea's mood swings,” she thought as she quickly put on her shoes and ran out immediately.
Andrea smiled as she washed her hands in the kitchen sink, she heard light footsteps from behind ” Oh Lena who was at the door? ” she asked but got no response.
” Are you still mad at me? Come on, I am doing this for your good. Pass me the sugar cubes please, ” she said coquettishly and Sean smiled at how cute she was acting.
He passed the sugar cubes and without bothering to turn around she took them
” Elena last night I couldn't fall asleep, I was thinking about Mr Wilson don't get me wrong I know what your perverted mind must be thinking right now I promise is not what you think I was just wondering why he is being nice to me out of the blue. I mean why will he sort of the bills at the hospital and tell you not to inform me? That's unlike his style, the Mr Wilson I have heard of will even want me to kowtow to him or even use a megaphone to announce to the whole world what he did for me,” she sighs loudly.
Sean's expression closed up a bit, he crossed his arm over his chest as he listened to her from behind ” Do you think he wants something from me? What possibly does he want from a pregnant woman? Would he ask me for sex as time goes on? ”
His expression turned slightly dark and surprisingly a smirk found its way to his face. ” The way this lady thinks seems to surprise me everytime,” he said inwardly.
” Oh! my sweet Lena, are you really going to give me the silent treatment huh? I'm sorry. Just look I'm done and it didn't take long,”
She slowly turned around and almost bunked into Sean. She stared at him with bulging eyes, the mug almost slipped from her hands luckily he took it from her.
” Mr Wilson, when did you arrive? ” she gulped down her saliva nervously she could feel her cheeks heating up
” For about five minutes,” he said nonchalantly and her expression turned ugly.
” Why didn't you tell me you were here? And where is Elena? ” she drew her lower lip between her teeth.
” I was learning from your lesson by the way your friend left minutes ago, ” he said as he took a sip from the coffee.
Andrea carved her brows ” Y..you…you mean you heard everything I said? '' she stuttered embarrassingly.
” Oh I was referring to the coffee but yeah I also heard that in the process, in addition you are good at making coffee,”
Andrea cleared her throat slightly, the ambiance felt awkward as Sean stared intensely at her while having the coffee
” So what brings you so early in the Morning? ” she asked with a faint smile.
” I'm sorry I couldn't make it to the hospital before you got discharged. I was busy with important work so I decided to check up on you this morning,” Sean said unceremoniously as he placed the mug on the coffee table.
She noticed he had drunk all the content ” Do you want another cup? I can make you one immediately,” she asked curiously.
” No, it's fine even though your coffee smells and tastes so good. You should take care of yourself, ”
” Okay…… ” she said slowly.
” I'll be flying back to America tomorrow, you should take care and see you soon,” he suddenly got up and headed to the door.
” Thank you for stopping by Mr Wilson,” Andrea beamed.
” Why does she look so happy that she can't even contain her joy? Won't she miss me? ” he thought inwardly.
He turned around to look at her for the last time, before he could take a good glimpse of her face, she shut the door closed.
Sean sighs silently before he could take a step. His phone began to ring, he rolled his eyes before picking up ” What do you want?”
” Oh! My good buddy Sean, how is it going over there? It's been a month now, when are you coming back to handle the company? I feel like I'm losing my mind, ” Sonny groaned loudly.
” I will be flying back first thing tomorrow morning,” he said nonchalantly.
” Oh wow! That's so fast. You have managed to win my sister in law's heart so quickly. This is too good to be true. You mean there's actually a romantic guy behind that glib tongue of yours,” Sonny burst into laughter.
Awe transformed his face ” What nonsense are you talking about? You must really be going nuts,”
” Come on Sean quit the act. You think I am stupid enough not to realise the fact that you got someone's daughter pregnant. And that supposed fictional story you told me the other day is no other than you. I mean everyone knows you hate listening to the radio,” Sonny guffawed.
Sean drew in a long breath trying to calm his nerves he knew he had screwed up big time. ” Fine, now that you know the whole truth you better keep your lips sealed or else…..”
” Or else what? Are you bringing her along? ” Sonny asked nonchalantly.
” Oh! Yes! I'm bringing her along and the whole of Australia too. You are such a fool do you think I will just go knock on her door and be like hey I am the one who got you pregnant and I'm here to take you with me so we can start up a family. Huh? ” Sean spat out sarcastically.
” Chill bro I understand how you feel, you must be badly tensed right now. Yo! I feel pretty bad this lady must be very unfortunate, ” Sonny let out a sigh of awe.
Sean inclined his head, as he thought about what Sonny had just said and realised Sonny was right ” Andrea is indeed unlucky, she has horrible parents, her fiance and her step sister had something going on all along, she ended up pregnant without knowing who is responsible to top it up she got framed ” he pressed his lips in a thin line.
” Indeed she's quite unfortunate,” He mumbled before hanging up.
