Chapter 19: I am going to be a father?

He finally got to the top floor, he flung the door open and quickly walked to the system as his eyes scanned around.

” where is it? ” Sean demanded impatiently.

Riley got up from his seat ” here is the clip, check them out ” he said as he brought out a cigarette.

” I will be right back,” he said as he lit up the cigarette and took a puff.

Sean didn't even bother to look at him with his gaze still on the computer he sat down and began to check from the part he walked over to the lady. After checking for a while he finally got it, he felt his heart accelerating faster as he watched how he approached…….

” Andrea! It was really her,” he breathed as his heart sank deeply.

He really did go to Andrea that night,it got to the part where they engaged in a kiss and he quickly removed the footage, he already understood everything there's no need to watch further.

Sean's expression turned dark immediately as the thought of her pregnancy found his way to his head. He has finally uncovered the truth but he was just too shocked to believe it.

He got up and walked out of the club, he was currently not in the right state of mind.

He felt everything was just too much for him to handle. How did he become a father overnight? ”

He arrived at his villa still in thoughts, he went straight upstairs to his bedroom to get some rest.

Sean rubbed his temples ” I'm going to be a father? ” he thought inwardly as he remained silent, staring at the night sky.

AT AN APARTMENT

The following day,

” Are you sure you want to leave? May, why don't you just stay here till you deliver the babies ” Mom Tessa asked.

Andrea sighed loudly” Mom Tessa I don't know,I feel like going back to Australia ” she pouted sadly.

” Yes Andrea, my mom is right. Why don't you stay for a while longer ” Jasmine chimed in.

” Elena must be bored staying at the condo alone. I guess I should go and keep her company ” Andrea smiled faintly.

Jasmine dragged her suitcase out of the apartment, they took the elevator to the down floor and Andrea hailed a cab.

” Jasm take care of yourself and Mom Tessa. See you guys soon ” she grinned and gave her a side hug.

” I will miss you very much sis, ” she waved at her as she got into the back seat.

SHIMMERS COMPANY

Sean sat down placing his hand on his chin, he couldn't do any work or think straight ever since finding out the truth.

Someone has been knocking on his door for ages and he didn't even take note. Just then the door burst open and Sonny walked in.

” What's wrong with you buddy? Have been knocking on that door for like forever ” he huffed angrily and Sean didn't even budge.

Sonny frowned and noticed something was amiss . By now Sean should have yelled at him for barging in but he wasn't, he was only staring at an empty space.

Sonny realised he had gone into trance, he chuckled softly as he approached him in light footsteps and snapped his fingers close to his face. Like he had expected Sean jolted upright immediately.

Sean raised his head and shot him a deadly glare ” what is the meaning of this nonsense? How could you just walk into my office without my consent huh?” he half yelled.

Sonny gave him a stupefied look, he even ignored the way Sean had spoken to him immediately he caught sight of the deep dark circles underneath his eyes " are you alright? What Happened? Did you club all night? ” he threw a series of questions at him.

Sean pursed his lips in annoyance ” if you have nothing reasonable to say just get the hell out ”

” chill man ” Sonny could clearly see he was really in an unpleasant mood. He pulled a seat for himself and sat opposite him.

” Can you tell me what's wrong? You don't look good today” Sonny said in a more attentive tone.

Sean remained mute for a long while before clearing his throat slightly ” can I ask you a question? I want you to answer truthfully”

Sonny burst into laughter ” okay first of all I haven't given you the go ahead and at the same time you want me to be truthful? The thing bothering you must have really caused a lot of damage in your head ”

” Just because I want to manage to speak to you, you think you can insult me right? Just use the door immediately” he rubbed his temples again.

” damn! You are so boring I don't know what type of lady will tolerate you for a sec ” he got up and began to head for the door and Sean quickly stopped him ” come on are you really going to use the door? Come back here ” he said in a sheepish tone.

Sonny rolled his eyes and plopped himself down on the seats. ” okay tell me I'm all ears ”

” So last night I tuned into my radio and they were having a very interesting discussion and ever since then have been engrossed in the topic ” Sean said as he fiddled with his pen.

Sonny slowly nodded his head ” okay…. Carry on ”

” So here is the story: a man had a one night stand with a lady and both of them were drunk at that time. The man then found out about the lady months later and realised she's an employee in his company and now the lady is pregnant with no idea of who the father of her child is. As the guy who knows the whole truth, what will you do? Are you going to keep mute? Or will you tell her the truth? ” Sean asked.

Sonny smirked mischievously ” whoa! This is kind of funny and romantic at the same time. If I was the guy well…. I will firstly consider the lady. I mean like her character if she's good and responsible and then he should also ask himself if he really wants the baby. If he knows he doesn't he shouldn't bother telling her and if he does want the baby he should try and get close to her gradually to know her personality. There might be a situation whereby he might want to develop a good relationship with her which I think is the best after all they should consider the baby. What am I even saying it's just a fictional stories anyway ”

Sean nodded understandingly ” there's something urgent I need to attend to ” he abruptly got up and walked out of the office.

Sonny glanced at the path he had taken just now and couldn't help but shake his head. ” Oh Sean, you don't even know how to tell a good lie. Everyone knows you don't listen to the radio ” He knew this so-called fictional guy was him, he just decided to play along and hopes he ends up doing the right thing.

SOUTH SONG STREET, AUSTRALIA

Andrea finally arrived at the condominium exhaustively, she used her keys to open the door and went straight to the kitchen to check if there was anything to eat.

She found some leftover rice and chicken sauce,she quickly dished it out and began to devour it till she was satisfied.

Her cell phone began to ring, she wiped her lips with a napkin before picking it up.

” Hey Mr Jones” she had just remembered she didn't inform him that she was leaving for Australia.

” How are you doing Andrea? I hope you don't mind. I want to come take you out ” Jacob said.

” Actually I..I am already back in Australia ” she said in a low tone.

" What! You are already in Australia and you didn't care to inform me ” he half yelled.

Andrea shut an eye in a guilty manner ” I'm sorry. I will make it up to when we meet again ” she said coquettishly.

” You better do, ” he said sternly and she chuckled and ended the call.

She heard the doorbell ring and she sluggishly got up and opened the door.

Elena rushed in excitedly and gave her a hug ” I miss you peach " she said in between her fake tears.

Andrea's eyeballs went around ” Are you done now? ” she said sarcastically.

” So tell me how Mr Jones dealt with that asshole director of a guy ” she said as they went over to the couch.

” Actually Mr Jones didn't, ” she said calmly.

Elena stared at her slightly confused ” then who did? ”

” My ex boss, Mr Wilson did,” Andrea said as she nibbled on her bottom lip.

” huh? You mean that arrogant man did? But why? ” Elena said in a shocking state.
