“ Mummy, why did we run?” Mara asked her. “ Because… Because he came” She said and Mara Chuckled. “ We shouldn’t have ran away, we should have stayed here” She folded her arms. “ Why? He will force us to go with him if he sees us here” Vanessa said worriedly. “ But we won’t go even if he force us. We don’t want to live in his house again and we don’t want to see him” Vanessa felt sorry for Mara, Mara loved her Daddy so much but she was acting brave because of her. “ I’m Sorry Mara, I know you love your Daddy and you want to live with him” She said and Mara smiled. “ It’s Okay Mummy, I just want you to be happy and besides, I don’t want to be kidnaped again. It was terrifying” She said and Vanessa smiled.
“ I’ll never let that happen again, Come here” She stretched her arms and Mara Hugged her. “ I love you so much Mummy and I want you to be happy” Mara said and Vanessa Smiled. “ I know baby and I love you too”

“ I wonder where the Boss slept last night” The Assistant said and the maids exchanged glances. “ What?” He asked them and they Chuckled. “ I’m surprised that this is coming out from your mouth. I mean, you are his Assistant and you ought to know wherever he goes to. I don’t even know what you are doing in this house when the Boss isn’t at home” Bella said with a smirk. “ I’m surprised too, Just pray Grandma doesn’t find out or you’ll be in trouble” Mary Added. “ Girls, Chill. I also have a life to live, it’s not a must I follow him everywhere he goes to. I’m even Happy that he drives alone these days” He threw a cookie in his mouth and munched on it.
“ Seriously, and you are happy about that? Oh God” Bella shook her head. “ But what happened to him, he didn’t even slept at home last night and haven’t return either” Bella said and The Assistant sighed. “ I know it’s because of that Girl Vanessa, What does he even see in her that he’s so in love with her. She’s not even up to his level” He smirked. “ He’s in love with her and there’s nothing you can do about it. He’s your superior and can Fire you if he found out you don’t like Ma’am Vanessa and his child” Bella warned. “ Do I look like I care? Of course I don’t care. Anyways, I hope they find Mara soon, I really missed that girl. She’s so smart and pretty” Bella sighed.
Mary didn’t say a word again, she looked so said. She raised up her head and saw Mona looking at her. Mona quickly looked away and left the kitchen.
“ What’s wrong with this girl?” Mary asked and Bella Chuckled. “ I don’t know but just avoid her” Bella warned. “ I heard Mandy reported the Boss to Grandma, she told her that Vanessa was on the house” Mary whispered to them. “ Oh my God, how could she do such a thing. I don’t like that girl, she’s so cruel” Bella said “ Seriously I don’t like her too, I’m only sorry for the Boss because Grandma won’t let it slide. What does she even want with Alfred? She should allow him to marry who he want” Mary said and the Assistant looked at her and she rolled her eyes.
They were still talking in the kitchen when they heard voices in the sitting room. They exchanged glances and left what they were doing to the sitting room. Mandy was hugging Grandma excitedly when they Entered the sitting room, they all stood in a corner with their hearts beating so fast. None of them have cleaned the house that morning and it sent shivers down their spine. Grandma had promised to fire them if she returned and found the house dirty.
“ We are doomed” Bella whispered to Mary who as standing beside her. Grandma looked at them, She Chuckled and sat down on the sofa. “ Where’s Alfred?” He asked and the Assistant started Sweating profusely Despite the AC in the room. “ I’m talking to you!” She Commanded him and he loved forward in fears. “ I..he…I…he…” He Stammered. “ I..He what?” She asked him. The Assistant knelt on the floor and started rubbing his palms together. “ I’m So sorry Grandma, He’s not in the house” He pleaded. “ He’s not in the house? Then what are you doing here?” She asked him. “ I… He… I don’t know when he left the house” He said and Grandma Sighed.
“ I don’t know what you are still doing in this house. Anyways, where did he go?” She asked him, the Question choked him. He didn’t know what to say because he had no idea where The Boss went to. “ Grandma, he didn’t sleep in the house last night” Mandy said and the Assistant heaved a sigh of relief. “ Why?” She asked but before Mandy could answer, She threw another question again. “ And where’s the girl he brought in to the house?” She asked again.
“ I sent her out of the house” She said proudly and Grandma smiled. “ That’s My girl, you are the only one that takes after me. So where is she?” She asked. “ I don’t know and I don’t care, I told her to leave this city and should never return back if she still loves her life. I told her to stay away from Alfred because he’s mine” Mandy said again and Grandma Smiled excitedly. “ Wonderful. Then he slept outside the house because of that?” She asked again. “ I think he’s out there looking for her. You should have seen her face when I sent her packing.” Mandy said happily.
“ So he left the house because of her” Grandma was now getting angry.
